Preposition, Conjunction and Interjection

• Complete sentence: She is still trying to get over a bad cold.

• Get over [phrasal verb]
- English Meaning: to recover from; overcome, surmount; to reconcile oneself to : become accustomed to.
- Bangla Meaning: (অসুস্থতা, আঘাত, বিস্ময় ইত্যাদি) কাটিয়ে ওঠা, জয় করা; দমন করা অথবা  কাউকে ভুলে যাওয়া।

অন্যদিকে, 
• Get on (with somebody/something) - (কারো সঙ্গে) মিলেমিশে চলতে পারা/ (কোনোকিছু নিয়ে) এগিয়ে চলা।
- She is not easy to get on with.

• Get on (something) - যানবাহনে উঠা (to go onto a bus, train, aircraft, or boat).

• Get with it - সতর্ক হওয়া (to become alert or aware: show sophisticated consciousness).
- The rest of the team is finished. You need to get with it!

- যেমন- Credit Tk. 10,000 to her account.

• মনে রাখতে হবে,
- Credit-এর পর amount এবং তারপর account-এর আগে to বসে।

after শব্দটি conjunction হিসেবে যখন ব্যবহার হয়, তখন এর পরে একটি clause (Subject + finite verb) বসে; after যখন preposition হিসেবে ব্যবহার হয়, তখন এর পরে একটি noun/noun phrase অথবা verb+ing বসে।
আলোচ্য প্রশ্নে ‘We left home after my father had died’ বাক্যটিতে after এর পরে একটি clause বসেছে।
অতএব, এখানে ‘after’ conjunction.

- English Meaning: Only - often followed by that.
- Bangla Meaning: যদি না।

• Example: I'd go, except it's too late.
- Bangla: আমি যাব, যদি না অনেক দেরি হয়ে যায়।

- অর্থাৎ, 'Except' এখানে 'যদি না' অর্থে দুইটি clause কে যুক্ত করেছে। তাই এটি conjunction.

• অন্যদিকে,
ক) "The store is open daily except weekends." 
- Preposition (except = excluding), অর্থাৎ, "ব্যতীত; ছাড়া" অর্থে Preposition হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।

গ) "Children were excepted from playground."
- Verb (excepted = excluded),অর্থাৎ, বাদ দেওয়া অর্থে Verb হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।

ঘ) "You must except workers from this restriction."
 - Verb (must except = must exclude), এখানেও বাদ দেওয়া অর্থে Verb হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।

ব্যাখ্যা:
বাক্যের অর্থ: জানুয়ারির শেষে আমি চলে যাচ্ছি।
On এবং for এক্ষেত্রে এই বাক্যে অর্থ অনুযায়ী মোটেই প্রাসঙ্গিক নয়।

- Bangla meaning: সে এমনভাবে কথা বলে যেন সে সব জানে।

• as if/ as though অর্থ এমনভাবে/ যেন।
- এখানে Subjunctive Mood ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।
- বাস্তবে না হলেও যেন সত্যি এমনটি বোঝাতে past tense ব্যবহার করা হয়।

• As if/ As though যুক্ত sentence এর ব্যবহার:
- As if / As though এর পূর্বে Present Indefinite Tense থাকলে as if/as though এর পরে Past Indefinite Tense হয় এবং Be verb থাকলে সব সময় were হয়।

• Preposition: যেসব শব্দ noun বা pronoun এর পূর্বে বসে তার সাথে বাক্যের অন্যান্য শব্দের সম্পর্ক স্থাপন করে তাদের Preposition বলে। Example: The book is under the table.

- কিছু নির্দিষ্ট Verb-এর পরে কোনো Preposition বসে না।

proficient (in)
Meaning: ব্যুৎপন্ন; দক্ষ; নিপুণ। 

proficient এর সাথে 'দক্ষ' বুঝাতে in বসে।
