- Bangla Meaning: ব্যতীত।
- English Meaning: other than.

- জন ছাড়া সবাই এসেছে।

- এখানে “but” শব্দটি except অর্থে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।

- Participle Preposition হচ্ছে এমন কিছু শব্দ, যেগুলো দেখতে participle (verb এর সাথে -ing বা -ed form থাকে) এর মতো হলেও, এগুলো বাক্যে preposition হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- এদের পরে সাধারণত noun, pronoun, বা noun phrase বসে।

We had a meeting regarding the new project. Here, 'regarding' is - preposition.
- “regarding” → এখানে the new project নামক noun phrase-এর সাথে সম্পর্ক স্থাপন করছে।
অর্থাৎ, meeting কোন বিষয়ে ছিল তা বোঝাচ্ছে → এটি preposition হিসেবে কাজ করছে।
