• Shortly এর verb form হলো- Shorten.

• Shortly (adverb)
English meaning: soon
Bangla meaning: শীঘ্রই; কিছুক্ষণের মধ্যে; অল্প।
Example: We will shortly be arriving in King's Cross Station.

• Shorten (verb transitive, intransitive)
English Meaning: to reduce the length or duration of.
Bangla Meaning: ছোট/সংক্ষিপ্ত হওয়া বা করা; খাটো করা; খর্ব করা।

• অন্যদিকে, 
- Short - বাক্যে ব্যবহারের ভিত্তিতে Adverb, Adjective, Verb, Noun হতে পারে।
- Shortish হচ্ছে Adjective.

প্রথম little – boy -noun কে Modify করার কারণে Adjective
আর ২য় little- know – verb এর Object হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হওয়ায় এটি Pronoun. এখানে little টি little information এর পরিবর্তে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।
আবার এটাকে adverb ও বলা যেতে পারে know – verb কে modify করছে ধরে নিয়ে। তখন বুঝা যাবে কম জানে বা জানার পরিধি কম। কিন্তু এখানে আমরা এটা (ঘ) নিতে পারছি না, কারণ Adverb Option এর সাথে প্রথম little ও Adverb হিসেবে দেয়া আছে, যেটা Adjective ছাড়া অন্য কিছু চিন্তা করার সুযোগ নেই।

• Third Conditional এর নিয়মানুযায়ী-
- If clause (শর্তযুক্ত অংশে)-এ যদি (had + V3) হয়, তবে পরবর্তী clause -এ would/could/might + have + V3 + extension হয়।
- অর্থাৎ, If + subject + past perfect tense দ্বারা কোন Conditional sentence শুরু হলে এর অপর clause টি তে subject এরপর would have/could have/might have বসে এবং এর পরের verb টির past participle form হয়।

• Structure: If + Past Perfect (had + V3) + Subject + would/could/might + have + verb-এর past participle.

• Adjective clause:
- যে Subordinate Clause কোনো Noun বা Pronoun এর পরে বসে ঐ Noun বা Pronoun কে modify করে তাকে Adjective Clause বলে।
- অর্থাৎ Noun এর Post Modifier হিসাবে Adjective clause বসে।

• Adjective Clause দুইটি স্থানে বসতে পারে।
01. Object এর post modifier. (subject + verb + object + adjective clause).
02. Subject এর post modifier. (Subject + adjective clause + verb + object).

• উল্লিখিত Sentence এ 'who inspired us greatly' হচ্ছে Adjective Clause. কারণ প্রশ্নে উল্লিখিত বাক্যে Object (a teacher) এর Post modifier হিসেবে এটি Adjective Clause.

Impromptu (adjective, noun, adverb)  
- English Meaning: Made, done, or formed on or as if on the spur of the moment. Composed or uttered without previous preparation.
- Bangla Meaning: প্রত্যুৎপন্ন; অযত্নপূর্ব; অচিন্ত্যপূর্ব; উপস্থিতমতো; প্রত্যুৎপন্নভাবে ইত্যাদি।

Impromptu as various parts of speech:
Adjective: John had to give an impromptu presentation on monthly sales.
- জনকে মাসিক বিক্রয়ের উপর একটি তাৎক্ষণিক উপস্থাপনা দিতে হয়েছিল।

Adverb: He delivered the lecture impromptu for an hour.
- তিনি এক ঘন্টা ধরে তাৎক্ষণিকভাবে বক্তৃতাটি প্রদান করেন।

Noun: She sat down at the piano and played a beautiful impromptu.

• Rescind (verb transitive)
English Meaning: To make a law, order, or decision no longer have any legal effect.
Bangla Meaning: (আইন, চুক্তি ইত্যাদি) বাতিল করা।

# Certain (adjective)
(১) নিশ্চিত; সন্দেহাতীত।
(২) বিশ্বাসযোগ্য; অবশ্যম্ভাবী।
# Certainly(adverb) - নিঃসন্দেহে।
# Certainty (noun) [countable noun] যা নিশ্চিত: for a certainty নিঃসন্দেহে।

Answer- did the students realise.
Complete sentence: Only after the results were announced did the students realise how much effort they had put in.

• Only + সময়বাচক adverb/ adverbial phrase বা word (Only then, Only when, Only after, Only later, Only once) ইত্যাদি বাক্যের শুরুতে বসে Verb -এর উপর গুরুত্ব আরোপ করলে Inversion of verb হয়।
- অর্থাৎ, auxiliary verb টি subject -এর পূর্বে বসবে এবং verb টি base form -এ হবে।

• Structure: Negative adverb (Only + সময়বাচক adverb) + Auxiliary verb + Sub + Principal verb + Ext.

Adverbial clause: 
- যে subordinate clause একটি বাক্যে একটি adverb হিসেবে কাজ করে এবং একটি verb,বা একটি adjective-clause বা অন্য একটি adverbial clause-কে modify করে তাকে Adverbial Clause বলে।
 - Adverb এর মত এরা - time, place, cause, effect, purpose ইত্যাদি বুঝায়।

• Because, as, since- প্রভৃতি দ্বারা কোন clause শুরু হলে তা কারণ নির্দেশ করে। 
এরূপ clause কে Adverbial clause of reason বলে। যেমন: 
- She speaks Spanish fluently because she lived in Spain for years.
- As I was ill, I could not attend the meeting. 
- I didn't eat the cake, because I'm on a diet.

- There are two pronouns in this sentence: Nobody & These. 
- 'Nobody' is an indefinite pronoun. On the other hand, 'These' is a demonstrative pronoun.

Indefinite Pronoun:
We use indefinite pronouns to refer to people or things without saying exactly who or what they are. We use pronouns ending in -body or -one for people, and pronouns ending in -thing for things:
Example: Everybody enjoyed the concert.

Demonstrative Pronoun: 
These are used in place of nouns that are already mentioned. i.e. These, Those etc.

Meaning: আসক্ত/অত্যাসক্ত/নেশাগ্রস্থ হওয়া। 
- addicted to drugs/alcohol/lying.

Spinster (feminine form)
- An unmarried woman, typically an older woman beyond the usual age for marriage.
- অবিবাহিতা মহিলা; চিরকুমারী।

Bachelor (masculine form)
- A man who is not and has never been married.
