- Inner, outer, latter, elder, hinder, upper, former, utter ইত্যাদি হল English comparatives, কিন্তু এগুলো এদের comparative-এর অর্থ হারিয়ে এখন শুধু positive-এ ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- এদের পরে than বা to কোনটিই বসে না। তবে কখনও কখনও of বসতে পারে।

ক) This is the most exterior part of the building. (এটি ভবনের সবচেয়ে বাইরের অংশ।)
 - বাক্যটি ভুল।
- “Exterior” শব্দটি ইতিমধ্যেই ‘বাইরের’ অর্থ প্রকাশ করে এবং এর আগে “most” ব্যবহার করা যায় না। যেমন: “exterior” এর comparative বা superlative হয় না।

খ) The utter worse situation was unexpected. (সম্পূর্ণ খারাপ পরিস্থিতি অপ্রত্যাশিত ছিল।)
 - বাক্যটি ভুল।
- “Utter” মানে ‘সম্পূর্ণ’ বা ‘পুরোপুরি’ কিন্তু “worse” (comparative) এর সাথে “utter” ব্যবহার করা যায় না। সঠিক হবে “utter worst” বা “the worst situation”।

বাক্যটি ভুল, কারণ: "Most" + "prettiest" একসাথে ব্যবহার হয় না।
এটি double superlative হয়ে গেছে - যা grammar অনুযায়ী ভুল।
