Degree

• Than any other/ all other যুক্ত Comparative degree কে Positive degree তে রূপান্তরের নিয়ম:
- Positive degree এ sentence এর শুরুতে No other বসে।
- any other বা all other এর পরের অংশ বসে। 
- Verb বসে।
- as + Comparative degree এর positive form বসে + as বসে।
- Comparative degree এর subject বসে।
  
• Structure: No other + any other/ all other এর পরের অংশ + verb + as +Comparative degree এর positive form + as + প্রদত্ত sentence এর subject.

• Comparative degree: This river is deeper than any other river in the district.
• Positive degree: No other river in the district is as deep as this river.

• Note: মাঝে মধ্যে As এর পরিবর্তে So negative অর্থে এ ব্যবহার করা হয়।)

• Other options,
ক) Very few river in the district is deeper than this river.
- ভুল। কারণ, sentence টিতে deep এর comparative form আছে।
- Very few না হয়ে, No other দিয়ে sentence টি শুরু হবে। 

গ) Most other rivers in the district are as deep as this river. 
- ভুল। কারণ, Most other না হয়ে, No other দিয়ে sentence টি শুরু হবে। 
- rivers in the district are না হয়ে river in the district is হবে।

ঘ) No other river in the district is deep as this river. 
- ভুল। কারণ, as deep as হবে।

• Able - কোনো কিছু করতে সমর্থ/সক্ষম।

Able হলো এক syllable বিশিষ্ট word.
- সুতরাং এর পূর্বে কোনো অতিরিক্ত word  যুক্ত হয়ে superlative degree গঠিত হয় না। 

- able এর সাথে 'est' suffix যুক্ত হয়ে superlative degree গঠিত হয়। যেমনঃ able + est= ablest.
- আর er suffix যুক্ত হয়ে comparative degree গঠিত হয়। যেমনঃ able + er= abler.

• সুতরাং, Able এর comparative degree হলো - ‘abler’ এবং superlative degree হলো - 'ablest'.

- যেহেতু, প্রশ্নে ablest উল্লেখ নেই, তাই সঠিক উত্তর হবে - none of these.

- সুতরাং, নিয়মানুযায়ী সঠিক বাক্যটি হলো- She has exceptional talent.

ক) She is a very perfect singer. → She is a perfect singer.
খ) He reached the most absolute conclusion.. → He reached the absolute conclusion.
ঘ) This is a most unique opportunity. → This is a unique opportunity.

• Complete sentence: The harder she tried, the worse she performed.

• Comparative Degree:
- দুটি noun বা pronoun- এর দোষ, গুণ, অবস্থা প্রভৃতির তুলনা করতে adjective- এর যে রূপ ব্যবহৃত হয় তাকে Comparative Degree বলে।
- যত---তত/ আনুপাতিক হ্রাস-বৃদ্ধি বুঝাতে দুইটি Adverb Comparative Degree এর প্রত্যেকটির পূর্বে The বসে।

• One of the যুক্ত Superlative Degree কে Comparative Degree তে রূপান্তর করার নিয়ম:
- He is one of the fastest runners in the tournament.

- প্রথমে প্রদত্ত Sentence- এর Subject ও Verb বসে,
- One of the উঠে যায়,
- Superlative Degree-এর Comparative form বসে,
- than most other বসে,
- প্রদত্ত Sentence- এর বাকী অংশ বসে।
- He is faster than most other runners in the tournament.

Structure: Subject + Verb + Superlative Degree এর Comparative form + than most other + প্রদত্ত Sentence এর বাকী অংশ।

গ) He is faster then most other runners in the tournament: “then” ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে, যা ভুল। সঠিক word হলো “than”.

ঘ) He is faster than most other runner in the tournament: “runner” singular ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে, কিন্তু “runners” দিয়ে plural অর্থ বুঝাবে।

Correct Answer: ক) Canada is colder than most other countries on earth.
- One of the যুক্ত Superlative Degree কে Comparative Degree তে রুপান্তর করার সময় 'most other' যুক্ত করে Comparative Degree তে রূপান্তর করতে হয়।

One of the যুক্ত Superlative Degree কে Comparative Degree তে রুপান্তর করার নিয়ম:
- Subject + verb + Superlative এর comparative form + than most other + প্রদত্ত sentence বাকী অংশ।
- "one of the coldest" → "colder than most other".

Other Options:
খ) Canada is colder than any other country on earth.
- One of the যুক্ত Superlative Degree কে Comparative Degree তে রুপান্তর করার সময় most other যুক্ত করে Comparative   Degree তে রূপান্তর করতে হয়। এখানে "any other" ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে। তাই এটি সঠিক নয়।

গ) Canada is the coldest country on earth.
- প্রশ্নে Comparative Degree তে পরিবর্তন করতে বলা হয়েছে। এ বাক্যটি Superlative Degree যুক্ত বাক্য হওয়ায় এটি সঠিক নয়।

ঘ) Canada is more colder than most other countries on earth
- 'cold' এর comparative form হলো 'colder' এখানে more colder  এর ব্যবহার সঠিক নয়।

Farthest (adjective)
- English meaning: most distant, especially in space or time.
- Bangla meaning: সর্বাপেক্ষা অধিক দূরে বা ভিতরে।

Other options:
ক) Farther
- এটি হলো Comparative Degree যা (physical distance) বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

খ) Further
- এটিও Comparative Degree এর উদাহরণ যা (physical /additional) বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

 গ) Most Far
- এটি Grammatically সঠিক নয়।

• Degree of comparison নিয়ম অনুসারে,
- Absolute, excellent, extreme, supreme, perfect, unique, ইত্যাদি absolute adjective গুলো নিজেরাই superlative এর অর্থ প্রদান করে, তাই এদের পূর্বে more, most, very বা অন্য কোনো qualifier বসে না।

- "Unique" একটি absolute adjective (যার অর্থ "একক বা অতুলনীয়"), তাই এর সাথে comparative বা superlative degree ব্যবহার করা যায় না।

- "most unique" - degree modifier ভুল, unique এর সাথে most বসে না।

ঘ) This is a most unique opportunity.
- "a most unique" ভুল, unique এর সাথে most বসে না, শুধু a unique হবে।

• Correct Answer: ক) Mount Everest is the highest mountain in the world.

- Mount Everest is higher than any other mountain in the world.
• 'Than any other/ than all other' যুক্ত Comparative sentence কে Superlative করার নিয়ম হচ্ছে - 
- প্রথম subject প্রথমেই বসবে,
- এরপর  the + comparative এর Superlative form.
- Than any other/ Than all other বাদ যাবে এবং এরপর তার বাকি অংশ টি বসবে।
- Mount Everest is the highest mountain in the world.

Other Options:
খ) Mount Everest is the most highest mountain in the world: “most highest” double superlative, English এ ভুল, তাই এটি ভুল।

গ) Mount Everest is one of the highest mountains in the world: এটি একটি general statement, “one of the” দিয়ে বলা হয়েছে, কিন্তু মূল sentence “any other” থেকে full superlative বোঝাচ্ছে না, তাই এটি ভুল।
