যদি দুটি Subject – as well as, with, along with, together with, accompanied by, followed by, in addition to, including etc, except, excluding ইত্যাদি Word বা Phrase দ্বারা যুক্ত থাকে, তাহলে প্রথম Subject কে রেখে Verb এর আগ পর্যন্ত বাকি অংশ মনে মনে বাদ দিয়ে; এবং And দিয়ে যুক্ত দুটি Subject যদিও Plural - indicate করে কিন্তু And এরপর যদি not বসে, তাহলে and not সহ পরের অংশ মনে মনে বাদ দিয়ে প্রথম অংশ অনুযায়ী verb বসবে।

The correct sentences are-
- Kamal accompanied by his friends is coming tomorrow.
- Jamal and not his parents is responsible for this misdeed.
- All the students except Robin were present in the class.

Complete Sentence: At least one of the students gets full marks in his exam.

• The number of /One of the/ Each of the/ Either of the/ Neither of the এরা  subject হিসেবে ব্যবহার হলে এদের পরবর্তী noun (plural) কিন্তু verb(singular) এবং Possessive(singular) হয়।

- বাক্যটিতে one of the students ,subject হওয়ায় টি পরবর্তী Verb (gets) Singular হবে এবং possessive (his) singular হবে। 

Other Options:

ক)get, his→ Verb টি plural form এ থাকায় এটি ভুল।
গ)get, their→ Verb এবং Possessive উভয়ই plural form  এ থাকায় এটি ভুল।
ঘ)gets, their→ verb singular কিন্তু possessive plural form  এ থাকায় এটি ভুল

অন্য অপশনগুলো ভুল:
খ) Why you had done this?
- Question এ subject এবং auxiliary verb এর position ভুল। 
- সঠিক হতো: "Why had you done this?" (Past Perfect Question).
- "you had" নয়, "had you" হবে। 

গ) Why did you done this?
 → এটি  ভুল, did-এর পর base form “do” হবে, done নয়। 

ঘ) Why you have done this?
→ এটি ভুল, প্রশ্নে auxiliary verb have আগে আসবে, subject পরে। 

• Complete sentence: I am used to walking in the park every day.

• অতীতের অভ্যাস/ অভস্ত্যতা বোঝাতে used to ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- শুধু used to এর পর verb এর Base form বসে।

• Structure: subject + used to + verb এর base form + ext.
- Example: I used to live alone.

• কিন্তু, Be/ get used to (বর্তমানেও অভ্যস্থ থাকা)
- be used to/ get used to এর পর verb+ing বসে। 

• Structure: subject + be/ get + used to + (verb + ing) + ext.

• প্রদত্ত প্রশ্নে 'every day' থাকায় এর দ্বারা বর্তমান অভস্ত্যতা বোঝাচ্ছে, তাই be used to এর পর verb+ing বসবে।
- সুতরাং, সঠিক উত্তর হবে- am used to walking.

- এখানে had হলো unreal past বা অবাস্তব অতীত।

অন্যদিকে,
• little, a little, a few, few এর ব্যবহার: 
- এগুলো হচ্ছে quantifier determiners.
- এগুলো দ্বারা কোনো কিছুর পরিমান, সংখ্যা এগুলোকে নির্দেশ করা হয়।
- Little, a little বসে uncountable noun এর ক্ষেত্রে এবং a few, few বসে countable noun এর ক্ষেত্রে।
- Little এবং few, negative অর্থে ব্যবহৃত quantifier determiners, যাদের অর্থ অল্প সংখ্যক বা নেই বললেই চলে। 

• A little, a few, affirmative অর্থে ব্যবহৃত quantifier determiners, যাদের অর্থ কিছু সংখ্যক বা অল্প পরিমান।
- Few - নেই বললেই চলে।
- A few - সামান্য পরিমাণে/ কয়েকটি।

- Bangla Meaning: বিনা কাজে সময় নষ্ট করা; অকারণে ঘোরাঘুরি করা।

• Example Sentence:
- I wish you'd stop faffing about and do something useful!

- কোন Noun এর আগে singular determiner + pair of ব্যবহার করলে এটি singular verb গ্রহণ করে।

• যে সকল noun এর দুটো অংশ (two parts) থাকে সেগুলো সাধারণত plural verb গ্রহণ করে।
- কিন্তু তাদের আগে singular determiner + pair of ব্যবহার করলে singular verb গ্রহণ করে।

• It is time দিয়ে ৩টি Structure হতে পারে।
যথা -
• It is time এরপর যদি subject থাকে তাহলে verb টি past tense এ হয়।
- It is time I changed my bad habits. (Present + Past)

• It is time এরপর যদি subject না থাকে তবে to + verb হয়। (Present + Infinitive)
- It is time to change my bad habits.

• It is time (present) + for + Sub এর Objective form + Infinitive)
- It is time for me to change my bad habits.

বাকি অপশনগুলো ভুল:

ক) It is time for he took the medicine. – “for he” ভুল; সঠিক হলে “for him” হতো।

খ) It is time he take the medicine. – present tense “take” ভুল।

গ) It is time took the medicine. – subject নেই, তাই বাক্য অসম্পূর্ণ।

- While + Past Continuous Tense + Past Indefinite Tense.
Example: While I was in Italy I went to see Elita.
While I was going to the shopping mall, I saw a beggar crying loudly in front of the mall.
I thought I heard him come in while we were having dinner.
My father arrived while I was reading the book.

Past Continuous ও Past Indefinite দুটি একত্রে বসলে,
- when + past indefinite + past continuous.
Example: When I saw the gardener, he was cutting down trees.
When we arrived a crowd has been waiting for hours to greet him.
I was just getting into the bath when the phone rang.

• Correct Answer: You, he and I will attend the meeting.

- I, You and He হলো Personal Pronoun এর উদাহরণ।
- First person, Second person, Third person- এর Pronoun বা Noun সব যদি একই বাক্যেতে ব্যবহার থাকে তাহলে প্রথমে 2nd person, পরে 3rd person এবং অবশেষে 1st person বসে।
- অর্থাৎ সংক্ষেপে (231- order).

• কিন্তু দোষ স্বীকারের ব্যাপার হলে তখন ব্যবহার করতে হবে (123- order).
- Example: I, you and he are to blame.

• উল্লিখিত বাকি অপশনগুলো,
• (ক) ও (খ) Sentence এ Verb এর আগে সব সময় Person এর Subjective form ব্যবহার করা হয়। তাই Me এর জায়গায় I এবং Him এর জায়গায় he ব্যবহার করতে হবে।

• (গ) Sentence টিতে First person, Second person, Third person- এর Pronoun বা Noun সব যদি একই বাক্যেতে ব্যবহার থাকে তাহলে প্রথমে 2nd person, পরে 3rd person এবং অবশেষে 1st person বসবে।

Sanction
(noun) Synonyms: Authorization (অধিকার প্রদান), Acceptance (অনুমোদন), Allowance (অনুমতি).
Antonyms: Prohibition (নিষিদ্ধকরণ), Ban (নিষেধাজ্ঞা).
Example Sentence: The effectiveness of trade sanctions is questionable as they are easily circumvented.

একাধিক sentences,clauses,phrases অথবা words সংযোগকারী শব্দেকে conjunction বলে। 
Example: and, or, so, since, but, yet, still, as soon as, though, although, etc. 
There are three basic types of conjunctions:

1. Coordinating Conjunction: 
যা সমমানের দুইটি word, phrase বা clause এর মধ্যে সংযোগ স্থাপন করে।
 যেমন: and, or, but, etc..

2. Subordinating Conjunction:
- যে conjunction একটি clause এর শুরুতে বসে অন্য clause এর স্থান, কাল, ধরন, মাত্রা, ইত্যাদি বুঝানোর জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়, তাকে subordinating Conjunction বলে।
যেমন: when, how, if, lest, etc.

• Since যুক্ত sentence এ,
1) Present indefinite/ present perfect + since (সময় বুঝাতে) + Past Indefinite
- Example:
- It is ten years since his father died.
- Many years have passed since his father died.

2) Past + since + Past Perfect
- Example:
- It was ten years since his father had died.

• প্রদত্ত বাক্যের প্রথম অংশে Past Indefinite এবং শেষ অংশে Past Perfect Tense আছে। 
- তাই, শূণ্যস্থানে 'since' বসবে। 

Incorrect: ক) The lass laughed and played with his pen.

• Lass - বালিকা; প্রেমিকা।
- এটি Feminine gender.
- তাই সঠিক বাক্য হবে - The lass laughed and played with her pen.

Other options,

খ) The gander stretched his neck proudly.
- Gander (রাজহাঁস; কলহংস) হলো masculine gender.
- তাই এটি সঠিক বাক্য। 

গ) The drone flew around his hive.
- Drone: পুং মৌমাছি।
- Masculine gender হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 
- তাই এটি সঠিক বাক্য। 

ঘ) The widower spent his evenings alone.
- Widower: বিপত্নীক।
- Masculine gender হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 
- তাই এটি সঠিক বাক্য।

Correct sentence: No sooner had she stepped outside than it started raining.

• No sooner had.....than হচ্ছে Correlative conjunction.
- No sooner had.....than যুক্ত বাক্য গঠনের নিয়মাবলী:
- No sooner had + subject + 1st clause (verb এর past participle) + than + subject + 2nd clause (verb এর past form).

• No sooner had, Hardly had, Scarcely had সবগুলোই "করতে না করতেই/ হতে না হতেই" এ রকম অর্থে ব্যবহৃত হয়

• নিয়মানুযায়ী,
- No sooner had থাকলে পরের অংশে than (then নয়) ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- Hardly had থাকলে পরের অংশে when ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- Scarcely had থাকলে পরের অংশে when (than নয়) ব্যবহৃত হয়।

More Example:
1. No sooner had he finished his breakfast than the phone rang.
2. No sooner had she stepped outside than it started raining.
3. No sooner had we sat down for dinner than the phone rang.

Layout means  কোন কিছুর সাজ-সজ্জ্বা
Outlet means নির্গমণ পথ

Adhere to something (phrasal verb): 
English Meaning - To continue to obey a rule or have a belief. 
Bangla Meaning - (১) দৃঢ়ভাবে লেগে থাকা, সেঁটে থাকা।
(২) বিশ্বস্ত/ অনুগত/ অবিচল থাকা; বিচ্যুত না-হওয়া; দৃঢ়ভাবে সমর্থন করা: adhere to an opinion.

Example Sentences: 
- She adhered to her principles/ideals throughout her life.
- The translator has obviously adhered very strictly to the original text.

Complete Sentence - They failed to adhere to the terms of the agreement.

একটি নির্দিষ্ট সময়ের মধ্যে বুঝাতে preposition ‘within’ বসে।
বাক্যের অর্থঃ একমাসের মধ্যে রিপোর্ট প্রস্তুত করতে হবে।

অপশন (ক) তে, are এর স্থলে is হবে। কারণ, one of + plural noun + singular verb।
অপশন (খ) তে, rained এর স্থলে has been raining হবে এবং
(গ) তে, complain (verb) এর স্থলে complaint (noun) হবে। ‍Article এর পরে noun বসে।

সঠিক বাক্য- অপশন (ক), (খ) এবং (ঘ)।
অপশন (গ) এর সঠিক বাক্যটি হবে- I have no aptitude for music.

Correct answer: She not only wrote the report but also submitted it on time.
- Translation: তিনি কেবল প্রতিবেদনটি লেখেননি, সময়মতো জমাও দিয়েছেন।

• Not only --- but also is a Correlative Conjunction.
- সমজাতীয় শব্দের আগে বসে।
- not only যদি Subject এর আগে বসে তাহলে but also ও Subject এর আগে বসবে।
- not only যদি Object এর আগে বসে তাহলে but also ও Object এর আগে বসবে।
- not only যদি Verb এর আগে বসে তাহলে but also ও Verb এর আগে বসবে।

- প্রদত্ত Sentence এ, She not only wrote the report but also submitted it on time. এ not only এবং but also উভয়ই Verb এর আগে বসেছে।

Other Options:
খ) She wrote the report not only but also submitted it on time.
- “not only” এর পরে subject বা verb ঠিকমতো আসে নি।

গ) She not only wrote the report also submitted it on time.
- ভুল, কারণ “but also” নেই।

ঘ) She wrote not only the report but also submitted it on time.
- idiom এর সঠিক ক্রম হলো not only + verb + but also + verb; এখানে emphasis ঠিকভাবে দেওয়া হয়নি।

• দুটি Noun এর মধ্যে তুলনা করার সময় পূর্বের Noun এর পুনরাবৃত্তি পরিহার করতে Uncountable Noun এর পরিবর্তে that of এবং Plural Countable Noun এর পরিবর্তে those of ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- অন্যভাবে বলা যায়, কোনো Comparative sentence এর প্রথম অংশ যদি The + Noun + of + Noun হয়, তবে verb এর পরের অংশ হবে than + that/ those of হবে।

• literacy এখানে uncountable noun.
- তাই, Noun এর পুনরাবৃত্তি পরিহার করতে Uncountable Noun এর পরিবর্তে that of ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।

• উল্লিখিত বাকি অপশনগুলো,
(ক) Sentence টিতে Comparative sentence এর প্রথম অংশের নিয়ম অনুসারে The + Noun + of + Noun (The literacy rate of Japan) হয়েছে, তাই দ্বিতীয় অংশে than এরপর that of হবে। কারণ, The literacy rate of Japan দ্বারা Uncountable Noun কে বুঝায়।

• এ বাক্যটিতে Relative pronoun বসবে, যা inactive object 'notes' কে বুঝানো হয়েছে।
- বস্তুবাচক পদার্থের ক্ষেত্রে সাধারণত Pronoun, that বসে।
- বস্তু সম্পর্কে জানা থাকলে that, আর জানা না থাকলে what বসবে।

• এখানে whose, whom হলো Personal Pronoun.
- যা কেবল ব্যক্তিকে বুঝানোর ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহার করা হয়।

- 'Zero Plural Marker'- এর ব্যবহার বলতে বুঝায় যখন কোনো Noun কে Plural করা যায় না; অর্থ্যাৎ সর্বদা singular.

- যখন দুটি ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুর মধ্যে একটির দোষ/গুণ সম্পর্কে বলা হয়, তখন adjective -এর comparative degree -এর পূর্বে The বসে।
- এক্ষেত্রে, sentence -এর শুরুতে অথবা comparative degree -এর পরে Of the two কথাটির উল্লেখ থাকে।

• ​Structure: Of the two + plural noun + verb + the + comparative. 
- ​অথবা, Subject + verb + the + comparative + of the two + plural noun.

1. This is the better of the two.
2. Of the two subjects, English is the easier.
