• Uses of the preposition 'between'/ 'among':
- সাধারণত দুইটি ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুর ক্ষেত্রে between এবং দুইয়ের অধিক ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুর এর ক্ষেত্রে among ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- Collective noun এর পূর্বে among ব্যবহৃত হয়।

• sharing/ dividing বুঝালে অথবা share/ divide এর পরে a series of singular nouns থাকলে সাধারণত between ব্যবহৃত হয়, কিন্তু plural noun থাকলে তার পূর্বে between অথবা among ব্যবহৃত হয়।

• কোনো কাজ পূর্বে থেকে শুরু হয়ে বর্তমানেও চলছে বোঝাতে Present Perfect Continuous Tense -এ For/Since ব্যবহার করা হয়।

এই বিষয়গুলো বেশ কনফিউজিং। সহজ ভাবে মনে রাখার জন্য খেয়াল করুন: 

- Though, Although, even though = Adverb/Conjunction ( অধিকাংশ সময় Emphasis বা গুরুত্ব বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 
- In spite of, despite= Preposition (দুটোর অর্থ প্রায় একই: ”কোন কিছু সত্ত্বেও অর্থে ব্যবহৃত হয়”) 

এছাড়াও, 
- Though হলো একটি conjunction যেটি clause এর পূর্বে বসে,
- Despite একটি preposition যেটি noun এর পূর্বে বসে।  
– Sentence বা Clause-এ Contradiction বুঝাতে Despite/ In spite of ব্যবহার হয়।
– মনে রাখতে হবে যে, Despite  এর পরে Of হয় না এবং in spite এর of পরে হয়।
Example:
- Despite the delay, they arrived on time.
- In spite of the delay, they arrived on time.

প্রদত্ত প্রশ্নে বলা হচ্ছে,
- বৈরী আবহাওয়া সত্ত্বেও তারা পিকনিকে যাওয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছিল। যেহেতু বাক্যে একটি Contradictory expression আছে, পাশপাশি the bad weather এটি একটি কোন clause নয়। সুতরাং এর পূর্বে despite  বসানোই যুক্তিযুক্ত।

- Entrusted to someone কোনো ব্যক্তি বা ব্যক্তিবর্গকে বিশ্বাস করা।

১ম অপশনে but শব্দটি একটি adverb কারণ এটি only বা শুধুমাত্র অর্থে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।

• Compound Preposition:
- Compound Prepositions: Compound prepositions are those prepositions that are made by prefixing the preposition to a noun, an adjective or an adverb.
- Noun বা Adjective বা Adverb এর পূর্বে Simple Preposition যুক্ত হয়ে যে preposition গঠিত হয়, তাকে Compound Preposition বলে।
- Compound Preposition গঠন করতে সাধারণত: on এর স্থলে a এবং by এর স্থলে b বা be হয়। 
- Example: about (on+by+out), behind (by+hind), before (by+fore), above (on+by+up), along (on+long), etc.
