- Article মূলত Noun, Pronoun এর আগে বসে তাদের সংখ্যা এবং নির্দিষ্টতা, অনির্দিষ্টতাকে বুঝায়।

• Article কে প্রধানত ২ ভাগে ভাগ করা যায়।
1. Indefinit Articles: A, An.
2. Definite Articles: The.

• Article এর নিয়ম অনুসারে,
- ভাষার নামের পূর্বে Article ব্যাবহার হয় না। জাতির নামের আগে the ব্যাবহার হয়।

- Countable Noun হলেও যদি তার স্বাভাবিক সংখ্যা মাত্র একটি হয় (যেমন: Sun, যা একের অধিক নয়) তাহলে তারা আগে a/ an বসে না।

- "Went" এখানে একটি linking verb হিসেবে ব্যবহার হয়েছে, কারণ এটি "The dog" এর পরিস্থিতি বা অবস্থা (mad) প্রকাশ করছে।

- যদি, sentence টি The dog went to the park. হতো তাহলে এখানে "went" বোঝাচ্ছে চলাফেরা বা গমন, অর্থাৎ কাজ করছে।

• Linking verb:
- যে সকল verb সাধারণত Subject ও Subjective complement এর মধ্যে যোগসূত্র স্থাপন করে তাদেরকে Linking verb বলে।
- Linking verb এর Complement হিসেবে সাধারণত adjective বসে৷
- Subject এবং Subjective Complement এর মধ্যবর্তী verb কে linking verb বলে৷
- অবশ্যই মনে রাখতে হবে - Linking verb হচ্ছে Actionless.
 
• Turn, be, become, look, seem, remain, appear, get, grow etc. সাধারণত Linking verb হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- কিন্তু এগুলো বাক্যে ব্যবহারে ভিন্নতার কারণে Action verb ও হতে পারে।
