- Ben Jonson ছিলেন একজন ইংরেজ Stuart নাট্যকার, কাব্যিক কবি ও সাহিত্য সমালোচক, যাকে James I - এর সময়কালে Shakespeare-এর পর দ্বিতীয় সর্বোচ্চ গুরুত্বপূর্ণ নাট্যকার হিসেবে বিবেচনা করা হয়।
- তিনি নাটকগুলোতে চরিত্র নির্মাণে নির্দিষ্ট বৈশিষ্ট্যের ওপর মনোযোগ দিয়ে দেখিয়েছেন কিভাবে তা তাদের ব্যক্তিত্বকে প্রভাবিত করে। তার চরিত্রগুলো প্রতিকী হলেও প্রাণবন্ত।
