Structure: One of/Each of/ Either of…+ plural noun + singular verb + ext.

Examples (Incorrect → Correct):
- Inc. Either of the two options are acceptable.
- Cor. Either of the two options is acceptable.

- Inc. Either of the two boys are talented.
- Cor. Either of the two boys is talented.

- Inc. The two brothers went to the town; either of them have been to town before.
- Cor. The two brothers went to the town; either of them has been to town before.

Distributive Pronoun:
- যে pronoun অনেকগুলো ব্যক্তি বা বস্তু থেকে একটি বস্তু বা ব্যক্তিকে আলাদা করে বুঝায় তাকে distributive pronoun বলে।
- Examples: each, every, either, neither।

Other options
ক) Either of the two options are acceptable.
- ভুল, কারণ either singular, তাই singular verb “is” প্রয়োজন।

গ) Either of the two options had acceptable.
- ভুল tense এবং verb form; “had acceptable” grammatically ভুল।

ঘ) Either of the two options have been acceptable.
- ভুল, plural বা present perfect tense; singular verb দরকার।

→ সঠিক। "Stag" মানে পুরুষ হরিণ (male deer)। Pronoun his পুরুষের সাথে মিলেছে। (হরিণ সতর্কতায় hooves দিয়ে stomp করে, এটি both gender-এর জন্য স্বাভাবিক।)

গ) The filly shook her mane and galloped proudly across the field.
→ সঠিক। "Filly" মানে ছোট স্ত্রী ঘোড়া (young female horse)। Pronoun her স্ত্রী লিঙ্গের সাথে মিলেছে।

ঘ) The ewe ran swiftly when she heard the sound of wolves.
→ সঠিক। "Ewe" মানে স্ত্রী ভেড়া (female sheep)। Pronoun she সঠিক।

The correct answer is - গ) Rinu said that he had to go there.

• Direct narration থেকে Indirect narration এ পরিবর্তনের নিয়ম হলো-
- প্রথমে Reporting verb-এর Subject বসে এবং তারপর Reporting verb (say/said, tell/told) বসে (যদি থাকে)।
- তারপর যদি বাক্যটি assertive sentence হয়, তাহলে Inverted comma (" ") উঠিয়ে দিয়ে conjunction হিসেবে that বসানো হয়।
- এরপর Reported speech-এর person পরিবর্তন করতে হয়।
- Reporting verb-এর Subject বা Object-এর number (একবচন বা বহুবচন), person (first, second, third) এবং gender (male/female) অনুযায়ী পরিবর্তন হয়।

- Reported speech-এ must থাকলে এবং reporting verb past tense-এর হলেও indirect speech-এ must এর কোন পরিবর্তন হয় না।
- আবার চিরকালীন বাধ্যতা না বোঝালে must-এর বদলে had to ব্যবহৃত হতে পারে।

Dir: Kalim said, "I must go there."
Ind: Kalim said that he had to go there.

Dir: Rima said, "Kamal must have his car repaired."
Ind: Rima said that Kamal had to have his car repaired.

Dir: The teacher said, "Students must obey their teachers."
Ind: The teacher said that students must obey their teachers.

অন্যান্য অপশনের ভুল:

ক) বাক্যে "I" পরিবর্তিত হয়নি, যা ভুল।
খ) "must" অপরিবর্তিত রেখেছে, যা অতীত সময়ের reported speech-এ সাধারণত ঠিক না।
ঘ) "must had to" হলো grammatically ভুল, কারণ একসাথে দুটি modal verb ব্যবহার করা যায় না।

- It is a word ending in "-ing" that is made from a verb and used like a noun:
- Gerunds don’t describe action—they act as nouns.
- By gerund, we mean that the verb—the word that describes the action that’s happening, like “biking,” “thinking,” “running,” or “speaking”—becomes a thing, a concept that can now be the sentence’s subject, direct object, indirect object, or the object of a preposition. 

- A gerund can be either the subject or object of a sentence in English, e.g. 'Cycling is fun' or 'I enjoy cycling'.
