- শুধু Countable noun এর পূর্বে Indefimite Article (A, An) ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- আর, কোনো নির্দিষ্ট noun এর পূর্বে Definite Article বসে। কোনো একটি noun পুর্বে ব্যবহৃত হলে, পরবর্তীতে যখন এটি আবার mention করা হয়, এর পুর্বে Definite Article (the) বসে।

- যে sub-ordinate clause কোনো Noun এর কাজ করে তাকে Noun clause বলে।
- Noun clause সাধারণত who, what, which, when, whether, that ইত্যাদি clause marker/connective দ্বারা সূচিত হয়। যেমন- I do not know what he wants.
- আবার কোনো clause যদি it দ্বারা replace হয়ে অর্থবোধক বাক্য গঠন করে তাহলে ঐ clause টি Noun clause হয়।
- এখানে That he is dishonest is known to all. বাক্যটির 'That he is dishonest' clause টি subject হিসেবে কাজ করছে। আবার it দ্বারা replace করলে অর্থবোধক বাক্য গঠন করে (it is known to all.)।
- তাই এটি একটি Noun clause।
• Participle:
- A participle is a verb that ends in -ing (present participle) or -ed, -d, -t, -en, -n (past participle).
- Participle may function as Adjectives, describing or modifying Nouns.
- Participle একই সাথে Verb ও Adjective এর কাজ করে।
• Participle মূলত তিন প্রকার:
1. Present Participle. Ex: The story is thrilling.
2. Past Participle. Ex: This is a book written by Charles Dickens.
3. Perfect Participle. Ex: Having gained the truth, keep the truth
• প্রদত্ত Sentence টিতে, moving train দ্বারা চলন্ত ট্রেন কে বুঝানো হয়েছে। সুতরাং এটি verb এর কাজ করেছে।
- আবার, ট্রেনটি কেমন অবস্থায় চলছে (চলন্ত অবস্থায়) তা বুঝাচ্ছে বলে moving হলো এখানে Adjective.
- সুতরাং moving শব্দটি একই সাথে verb ও Adjective এর কাজ করল।
- তাই moving শব্দটি এখানে Participle বা Present participle হিসেবে ব্যবহার হয়েছে।

• Intransitive verb:
- যেসকল verb এর object বা কর্ম থাকে না তাকে Intransitive verb বলে।
- সাধারণত Intransitive verb এর পর adverb অথবা preposition ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- বাক্যে ব্যবহৃত Intransitive verb-কে কি (what?) বা কাকে (whom?) দ্বারা প্রশ্ন করলে কোনো উত্তর পাওয়া যায় না।
- বরং কখন (when?) বা কোথায় (where?) দ্বারা প্রশ্ন করলে উত্তর পাওয়া যায়।
- Intransitive verb যুক্ত sentence-এর সাধারণ Structure হচ্ছে: Subject + verb.
উল্লিখিত প্রশ্নের অপশন খ)The baby slept peacefully. এর “slept” verb-টির কোনো object নেই।
- কি (what?) বা কাকে (whom?) দিয়ে প্রশ্ন করলে কোনো উত্তর পাওয়া যায় না।

- অতএব verb-টির কোনো direct object নেই। তাই বাক্যটিতে ব্যবহৃত slept একটি Intransitive verb।
