- যে verb এর object আছে তাকে transitive verb বলে৷  Object সর্বদাই Noun অথবা Pronoun হয়।
- Transitive verbs এর সাধারণ Structure হচ্ছে: subject + verb + object.
- তাই বাক্যে verb এর পরে Noun অথবা Pronoun থাকলে verb টি সাধারণত transitive verb হবে।

বাক্যে mind, cannot help, could not help, with a view to, look forward to, be used to, get used to, worth ইত্যাদির পর কোনাে Verb আসলে উক্ত Verb - এর সাথে ing যুক্ত হয়।
