• Enter on/upon something [phrasal verb]
- English Meaning: To start to do something or become involved in something.
- Bangla Meaning: কোনো কিছু করা শুরু করা বা কোনো কিছুতে জড়িত হওয়া।

- Enter on/upon something is used in formal language.
- যখন কোনও কাজ শুরু করা হয় অথবা যখন প্রথম কোনও কিছুতে জড়িত হয়, তখন formal language -এ "enter on/upon something" ব্যবহার করা যায়।

I see a sleeping child এই বাক্যটিতে gerund  ব্যবহার করা হয়নি।
-  sleeping child অর্থ ঘুমন্ত শিশু  অর্থাৎ child  কে modify করা হয়েছে sleeping  এর মাধ্যমে।
- যা এখানে adjective(participle) হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।
-কিন্তু gerund  হতে হলে  শব্দটি  অবশ্যই noun  হতে হবে।

• She dreamt a wonderful dream. - This sentence uses a Cognate Verb.

Cognate Verb:
- বাক্যের verb এবং object যখন একই root থেকে উৎপন্ন হয় তখন সেই verb কে cognate verb বলা হয় এবং এর object কে বলা হয় cognate object.
- অর্থাৎ, যে Intransitive verb তারই noun form কে object হিসেবে গ্রহণ করে তখন সেই verb কে cognate verb বলা হয়।
- আর object টি কে বলা হয় Cognate object.
যেমন: She dreamt a wonderful dream.
- এখানে 'dreamt' হলো Cognate Verb এবং 'dream' হলো Cognate object.

সঠিক উত্তর: খ) Personal Pronoun.
It হলো একটি Personal Pronoun.

• Personal Pronoun:
কোন ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুর নামের পরিবর্তে যে Pronoun ব্যবহার হয়, তাকে Personal Pronoun বলে।
যেমন: I, you, they, we, he, she, it etc.

Other options,
Demonstrative Pronoun:
- যেসব pronoun কোনো নির্দিষ্ট ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুর পরিবর্তে বসে সেই ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুকে নির্দেশ করে, তাদেরকে Demonstrative Pronoun বলে।
- A demonstrative pronoun points to specific things or people. The main demonstrative pronouns in English are: this, that, these, those.

• Reciprocal pronoun:
- এই pronoun একাধিক ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুর মধ্যে পারস্পরিক সম্পর্ক বুঝায়।
- পারস্পরিক সম্পর্কের ক্ষেত্রে each other এবং one another এই দুইটি pronoun ব্যবহার করা হয়, যারা reciprocal pronoun নামে পরিচিত।
- One another, Each other হচ্ছে Reciprocal pronoun.

• Indefinite Pronoun:
- অনির্দিষ্ট ব্যক্তি বা বস্তু কে বোঝাতে যে Pronoun ব্যবহৃত হয় সে pronounce কে বলে Indefinite Pronoun.
- Indefinite pronoun এর কয়েকটি উদাহরণ হল: All, one, none, anyone, some, many, several ইত্যাদি।

- Point of time এর পূর্বে since বসে।

- He has been ill since Friday last.
- I have been waiting since two hours.

• অন্যদিকে,
- 'For' preposition টি period of time অর্থাৎ অনির্দিষ্ট সময় বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- যেমন -
• He has been ill for three months.
• It is raining for two hours.

• এটি Subjunctive Mood এর নিয়ম। কিছু নির্দিষ্ট verb এর পরে that clause এ সবসময় base form of verb (be/do/go ইত্যাদি) ব্যবহার করতে হয়।

• Subjunctive Rule: কিছু verb যেমন- desire, ask, demand, insist, suggest, prefer, propose, recommend ইত্যাদির পর পরবর্তী clause এ s/es/ing/ed বিহীন verb ব্যবহৃত হয়, এরূপ verb কে বলে Subjunctive.
Structure: Subject+ Subjunctive verb + that + পরবর্তী verb এর base form বসে।

Complete sentence: The teacher insisted that the students submit their assignments on time.

Option বিশ্লেষণ
ক) was submited – passive past tense, ভুল tense + spelling “submitted”.

গ) submited – spelling ভুল + past tense, সঠিক নয়।

ঘ) to submit – “to” লাগবে না subjunctive mood-এ।

• Correct Answer: ঘ) was not only effective but also expensive.

- এখানে বাক্যটি “not only ... but also” correlative conjunction ব্যবহারের উদাহরণ।
- তাই সঠিক উত্তর হবে — “was not only effective but also expensive”.
 - Complete Sentence: The proposal that the manager submitted was not only effective but also expensive.

Other Options:
(ক) “was not effective but also expensive” — এখানে not ব্যবহারে বাক্যের মানে বদলে যায়; এটা নেতিবাচক হয়ে যায়, যা মূল বাক্যের অর্থ নয়।

(খ) “was effective but expensive” — এখানে but also অনুপস্থিত; এটি সাধারণ সংযোগ প্রকাশ করছে, জোরালো সমন্বয় নয়।

(গ) “effective only but expensive” — এখানে only ব্যবহার ভুলভাবে জোর দেয়; grammatical structure নষ্ট হয়েছে।

No sooner + (does/do/did) + Subject + 1st Action + Than + Subject + 2nd Action.

In case এর অর্থ যদি।
কোন ঘটনার সম্ভাবনা বুঝাতে in case ব্যবহার হয়।
এখানে শূন্যস্থানে In case বসালে বাক্যটি অর্থপূর্ণ হবে।

- Bangla meaning: বৃক্ষরোপণ বায়ু দূষণ কমাতে অবদান রাখে।

- “Contribute to” is followed by a gerund (-ing form).
- আবার, "Planting trees" (a gerund phrase acting as the subject),হলো singular subject তাই verb টি singular (contributes) হবে।
- Contribute এর পরে to বসে for নয়।

• সাধারণত to এর পর Verb এর base form হলেও কিছু কিছু শব্দগুচ্ছের পরে verb+ing হয়।
