• Correct Answer: ক) Please open the window.

• Imperative sentence:
- যে Sentence এ কোন আদেশ, উপদেশ, নিষেধ, অনুরোধ ইত্যাদি বোঝায় তাকে Imperative sentence বলে।
- সাধারণত, Subject উহ্য রেখে Verb দিয়ে শুরু হওয়া বাক্য imperative sentence হয়ে থাকে. তাছাড়া imperative sentence বাক্যে আদেশ, নিষেধ, উপদেশ, অনুরোধ বুঝায়। 
- 'Verb + object' দ্বারা শুরু হলে Imperative Sentence হয়। 

• Example:
Please open the window — এটি স্পষ্ট অনুরোধ, তাই সঠিক।

(খ) The birds are singing in the morning — সাধারণ তথ্য বা statement.
(গ) Do you like ice cream? — প্রশ্ন।

• Who যুক্ত Interrogative Sentence এর Active Voice কে Passive Voice এ পরিণত করার নিয়ম:
- Who এর পরিবর্তে প্রথমে By whom বসে।
- Tense ও Person অনুযায়ী Auxiliary Verb বসাতে হয়। 
- Object টি Subject হয়।
- Tense অনুযায়ী কর্তার পরে  be/being/been বসাতে হয়। 
- মূল Verb এর Past Participle বসে।
- সবার শেষে প্রশ্নবোধক চিহ্ন বসে।

• প্রদত্ত বাক্যটি Past Indefinite Tense-এ আছে
- Past Indefinite Tense-এর Active Voice কে Passive করার সময় Object অনুযায়ী was বা were বসে।
- এখানে Object হলো 'this poem' (singular), তাই was বসবে।

• Than most other/ than few other যুক্ত Comparative degree কে Positive degree তে রূপান্তরের নিয়ম:
- প্রথমে Very few বসে।
- few other বা most other এর পরের অংশ বসে।
- Verb এর plural বসে।
- as বসে।
- Comparative degree এর positive form বসে।
- as বসে।
- প্রদত্ত Sentence এর subject বসে।  

• Structure: Very few + most other/ few other এর পরের অংশ + verb এর plural + as + Comparative degree এর positive form + as + প্রদত্ত sentence এর subject.

• Comparative degree: Runa is prettier than most other girls in the class.
• Positive degree: Very few girls in the class are as pretty as Runa.

- March on- অগ্রসর হও বা এগিয়ে চলো হচ্ছে Imperative sentence- কারণ এর দ্বারা আদেশ নির্দেশ করছে।

Imperative Sentence:
- An imperative sentence is a type of sentence that gives a command, makes a request, or provides instructions. It is used to   express a direct order or to ask someone to do something.
- সাধারণত, Subject উহ্য রেখে Verb দিয়ে শুরু হওয়া বাক্য imperative sentence হয়ে থাকে. তাছাড়া imperative sentence বাক্যে আদেশ, নিষেধ, উপদেশ, অনুরোধ বুঝায়।

Other Options:
খ) The sun rises in the east.
- এটি একটি Declarative/ Assertive sentence.কারণ এ বাক্য দ্বারা  কিছু বর্ণনা করে বা বিবৃতি প্রদান করা হয়েছে।

গ) It is raining outside.
- এটিও একটি Assertive sentence তথা Present Continuous Tense এর উদাহরণ।

ঘ) He is a good baseball player.
- এটিও একটি Assertive sentence কারণ এ বাক্য দ্বারা  কিছু বর্ণনা করে বা বিবৃতি প্রদান করা হয়েছে।

• Make, See, Feel, Let, Know, heed, Bid, Dare, Watch ইত্যাদি Verb থাকলে Active Voice কে Passive Voice রূপান্তরের নিয়ম:
- Active voice এর Object টি Passive voice এর Subject হিসেবে বসে।
- Tense অনুযায়ী Auxiliary Verb বসে।
- মূল verb এর Past participle form বসে।
- Make, See, Feel, Let, Know, heed, Bid, Dare, Watch ইত্যাদি Verb থাকলে Active Voice এ to উহ্য থাকে।
- কিন্তু Passive করার সময় তাদের পর to বসে এবং ২য় verb টির Present form বসে।
- তবে, Let Verb টির পরে Active ও Passive Voice এ To বসে না। 
- by বসে।
- Active voice এর subject টি Passive voice এ object হিসেবে বসে। 

• Active Voice: She made him complete the task.
• Passive Voice: He was made to complete the task by her.

• If যুক্ত Complex sentence টি যদি Negative অর্থবোধক হয়, তবে Compound Sentence এ রূপান্তরের নিয়ম:
- If থেকে not পর্যন্ত উঠে যাবে।
- not এরপর থেকে কমার আগ পর্যন্ত বাকি অংশটি বসে।
- or বসে।
- বাকি Clause টি বসে।

• Complex Sentence: If you do not move, you will die.
• Compound Sentence: Move or you will die.

• Note:
- তবে sentence টি যদি Affirmative Sentence হয় তাহলে or এর পরিবর্তে and বসে।
- বাকি সব উপরের rule এর মতোই ঠিক থাকবে।

• Complex Sentence: If you run fast, you can win the prize.
• Compound Sentence: Run fast and you can win the prize.

Going to যুক্ত বাক্যের passive করার সময় Going to + be + verb এর past participle হয়।
যেমনঃ He is going to open a shop. এর passive হবে - A shop is going to be opened by him.

সুতরাং, সঠিক passive form হবে - The market is going to be sold by them.

সঠিক উত্তর হলো: ঘ) exclamatory.
How charming the sight is! → বিস্ময় ও আনন্দ প্রকাশ করছে → exclamatory.

• Exclamatory Sentence:
- যে sentence-এ বক্তার মনের আকস্মিক আবেগ-দুঃখ, রাগ, বিস্ময়, সুখ ইত্যাদি- সক্রিয়ভাবে প্রকাশ পায় তাকে Exclamatory Sentence বলে। 
- An exclamatory sentence is a sentence which expresses a sudden emotion or strong feeling of human mind.

• Exclamatory Sentence এ,
- মানব মনের আকস্মিক আবেগ প্রকাশ করে।
- Verb এর আগে subject বসে।
- বাক্যটির শেষে একটি note of exclamation বা বিস্ময়বোধক চিহ্ন (!) ব্যবহৃত হয় ।
- বাক্যটি What এবং How দিয়ে শুরু হয়।
- What দিয়ে Exclamatory Sentence শুরু হলে What এর পর 'a' বা 'an' বসে।

• Or যুক্ত Compound sentence কে Simple sentence এ রূপান্তরের নিয়ম:
- প্রথমে Without বসে।
- প্রথম বাক্যের মূল verb এর সাথে ing যোগ করতে হবে।
- Verb এর পরের অংশ বসে।
- or এর পরিবর্তে Comma (,) বসে।
- ২য় senetnce টি বসে।

• Compound Sentence: Study regularly or you will fail the exam.
• Simple Sentence: Without studying regularly, you will fail the exam.

• 'Please' যুক্ত Imperative sentence কে Active Voice থেকে Passive Voice করার নিয়ম:
- Please/ kindly এর পরিবর্তে Passive Voice- এ 'You are requested to' বসে।
- Negative sentence এ to এর পূর্বে not বসে।
- Principal verb থেকে বাকি অংশ বসে।
- Active voice টি Present Tense এ রয়েছে তাই Passive Voice এ 'Present Tense' হয়েছে।

• Active voice: Please do not enter the room.
• Passive voice: You are requested not to enter the room.

• Perfect Participle যুক্ত Simple sentence কে Compound sentence এ রূপান্তর করার নিয়ম:
- Subject + Perfect Participle এর  Past Perfect form + and + বাকি অংশ বসে। 

Simple Sentence: Having finished her errands, she went for a saunter.
Compound Sentence: She had finished her errands and went for a saunter.

Simple Sentence: Having forgotten him, I went out.
Compound Sentence: I had forgotten him and went out.

• Active Voice-এ Who থাকলে passive voice করার নিয়ম:
- passive voice-টি 'By whom' দিয়ে আরম্ভ হবে।
- Tense অনুযায়ী auxiliary verb বসে।
- Object টি subject  হিসেবে বসবে।
- অনেক সময় tense অনুযায়ী be/being/been বসে।
- মূল verb এর past participle বসে।

• Though/ Although clause এ- has/have/ had থাকে সে ক্ষেত্রে simple করার নিয়ম:
- Though/ Although এর পরিবর্তে Despite/ In Spite of বসে।
- Subject অনুসারে এর Possessive form বসে।
- has/have/had এর পরিবর্তে having বসে।
- প্রদত্ত Sentence এর বাকী অংশ বসবে।

Other options:
খ)  In spite his having much wealth, he wants more.
- ভুল, কারণ Though/ Although clause এ- has/have/ had থাকে সে ক্ষেত্রে simple করার সময় Though/ Although এর পরিবর্তে "In Spite of" বসে।

গ) Despite of his having much wealth, he wants more.
- ভুল, কারণ Though/ Although clause এ- has/have/ had থাকে সে ক্ষেত্রে simple করার সময় Though/ Although এর পরিবর্তে "Despite" বসে।

ঘ) In spite having much wealth, he wants more.
- ভুল, কারণ Though/ Although clause এ- has/have/ had থাকে সে ক্ষেত্রে simple করার সময় Though/ Although এর পরিবর্তে "In Spite of" বসে।

অপশন b তে passive voice এর গঠণ ফলো করা হয়েছে। এটি passive এর past indefinite tense এর গঠণ। সুতরাং উত্তর হলো b.
Passive past indefinite এর গঠণ: ‍Sub. + was/were + V3 + by + obj.
অপশন a, c ও d তে যথাক্রমে ‍active এর গঠণ ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।

• দুটি clause এর subject ভিন্ন হলে এবং প্রথম clause টিতে am/ is/ are/ was/ were/ has/ have/ had থাকলে নিয়মটি হলো:
- Since/ as/ when সর্বদা উঠে যায়।
- প্রথম Clause এ am/ is/ was/ were/ এর পরিবর্তে being বসে বা has/ have/ had এর পরিবর্তে having বসে। তাছাড়া প্রথম clause টির আর পরিবর্তন হয় না।
- ২য় clause টি বসে।

• Complex Sentence: Since the work was finished, the students left the classroom.
• Simple sentence: The work being finished, the students left the classroom.

Meaning: to be serious about taking action, to want very much to achieve something.
Synonyms: be serious, be determined, be resolute, be set on something.
Example Sentence: This time, however, he seems to mean business.

সুতরাং, প্রশ্নে উল্লেখিত বাক্যটির সঠিক অর্থ হবে,
'আমরা কাজের ব্যাপারে নিষ্ঠাবান।'

- One of the যুক্ত Superlative Degree কে Comparative Degree তে রুপান্তর করার সময় "most other" যুক্ত করে Comparative Degree তে রূপান্তর করতে হয়।

• One of the যুক্ত Superlative Degree কে Comparative Degree তে রুপান্তর করার নিয়ম:
- Subject + verb + Superlative এর comparative form + than most other + প্রদত্ত sentence বাকী অংশ।

Other Options:
খ) Sylhet is more beautiful than any other city in Bangladesh.
- One of the যুক্ত Superlative Degree কে Comparative Degree তে রুপান্তর করার সময় most other যুক্ত করে Comparative Degree তে রূপান্তর করতে হয়। এখানে "any other" ব্যবহার করা যাবে না। তাই এটি সঠিক নয়।

গ) Sylhet is the most beautiful city in Bangladesh.
- প্রশ্নে Comparative Degree তে পরিবর্তন করতে বলা হয়েছে। এ বাক্যটি Superlative Degree যুক্ত বাক্য হওয়ায় এটি সঠিক নয়।

ঘ) Sylhet is most beautiful than most other cities in Bangladesh.
- যেহেতু Comparative Degree তে পরিবর্তন করতে বলা হয়েছে তাই adjective "beautiful" এর পুর্বে "more" যুক্ত করতে হবে। তাই এটি সঠিক নয়।

যে Sentence দ্বারা বিস্ময় বা মনের আবেগ প্রকাশ করে তাকে Exclamatory Sentence বা বিস্ময় সূচক বাক্য বলে।
যেমনঃ
1. কি সুন্দর শিশুটি - How beautiful the baby is !
2. কেমন বোকা তুমি - How fool you are !
3. কি আরামদায়ক বিছানাটি - How comfortable the bed is !
4. হায় ! লোকটি মারা গেছে - Alas ! The man is dead.

Correct answer: Without reading attentively, you can not pass the examination.

• Or যুক্ত Compound Sentence কে Simple করার নিয়ম:
- প্রথমে Without বসে +
- প্রথম বাক্যের মূল verb এর সাথে ing যোগ হয় +
- ক্রিয়ার পরের অংশ বসে +
- Or এর পরিবর্তে (,) বসে +
- দ্বিতীয় বাক্য বসে।
- Structure: Without + verb + ing + Subject + extension.

Other options:
ক) Without reading attentively, you can not passed the examination.
- ভুল কারণ, Modal auxiliary এর পর verb এর Base form বসে।

খ) If you don't read attentively, you can not pass the examination.
- ভুল কারণ, Simple sentence এর পরিবর্তে বাক্যটিকে Complex sentence এ পরিবর্তন করা হয়েছে।

গ) Unless you read attentively, you can not pass the examination.
-  ভুল কারণ, Simple sentence এর পরিবর্তে বাক্যটিকে Complex sentence এ পরিবর্তন করা হয়েছে।

• Correct Answer: খ) The contract will be signed by the manager.

- মূল বাক্যটি Future Indefinite Tense-এ: The manager will sign the contract.
- Passive voice-এ subject “The contract” হবে, এবং future tense রূপান্তরে ব্যবহৃত হয়: will be + past participle.
- “sign” এর past participle হলো “signed”.
- তাই সঠিক passive রূপ হবে: will be signed.
- Passive voice: The contract will be signed by the manager.

• Other options:
ক) The contract is signed by the manager. → এটি present tense; ভুল।

গ) The contract will signed by the manager. → “be” বাদ গেছে; ভুল গঠন।

ঘ) The contract was being signed by the manager. → এটি past continuous tense; তাই ভুল।

- মেয়েটি হঠাৎ কান্নায় ভেঙে পড়ল।

• Burst into tears:
- English Meaning: to suddenly start to cry.
- Bangla Meaning: কান্নায় ভেঙে পড়া।

- I ended the call and burst into tears.

অন্যদিকে,
• Burst on/upon - অকস্মাৎ/অপ্রত্যাশিতভাবে প্রত্যক্ষ হওয়া।
- যেমন: The prospect burst upon his sight. 

• Burst in (on/upon) (ক) বিঘ্নিত/ব্যাহত করা; (খ) হঠাৎ উদিত হওয়া।
- যেমন: I burst in on the meeting, thinking that the room was empty.

• Burst out laughing/crying - হঠাৎ হাসতে/কাঁদতে শুরু করা।
- যেমন: He burst out laughing/crying.

• Complex Sentence-এর একটি clause যদি if you দ্বারা গঠিত হয় বা if clause হয় তাহলে নিম্নরূপে তাকে compound-এ রূপান্তরিত করতে হয়:
i) Complex sentence-টি affirmative বা হ্যাঁ-বোধক হয় তাহলে if you তুলে দিয়ে verb-এর পরে and বসাতে হয়।
ii) Complex sentence-টি negative বা না-বোধক হয় তাহলে if you do not তুলে দিয়ে verb-এর শেষে or বসাতে হয়।
iii) If যুক্ত Clause- Affirmative বা Negative যাই হোক না কেন, If যুক্ত Clause টি Affirmative Imperative হয়ে বসে।

- Bangla Meaning: সে তাড়াতাড়ি ঘুম থেকে উঠতে অভ্যস্ত, তাই নয় কি?

• Explanation:
- Tag question -এর নিয়মানুযায়ী, affirmative sentence -এর tag টি negative হয়।
- Auxiliary verb -এর সংক্ষিপ্ত রূপ ব্যবহৃত হয়।

- "be used to" is a present structure (meaning "accustomed to / in the habit of").
- Be used to" = অভ্যস্ত হওয়া (একটি state/condition).
- এখানে main verb হলো "is" (the verb "to be").
- সুতরাং, নিয়মানুযায়ী সঠিক tag টি হবে- isn’t he?

• Assertive থেকে Optative-এ রূপান্তর:
-Optative Sentence-এর মূল Structure: May + Subject + Verb (Base form) + …

• রূপান্তরের নিয়ম:
- Subject-এর আগে সর্বদা “May” বসাতে হবে।
- Subject-এর পর যদি কোনো Auxiliary Verb (is, am, are, was, were, have, has, had, do, does, did, will, shall, can, could, may, might, must ইত্যাদি) থাকে, তবে তা পুরোপুরি উঠে যাবে।
- Verb-এর পরিবর্তে সবসময় Verb-এর Base Form  বসবে।
- বাকি Sentence-এর বাকি অংশ অপরিবর্তিত থাকবে।

Affirmative থেকে Exclamatory করার নিয়ম
- বাক্যের শুরুতে What (a/an) বা How বসে।
- যদি Adjective-এর আগে a/an থাকে → What a/an ব্যবহার।
- যদি Adjective-এর আগে a/an না থাকে → How ব্যবহার।
- এরপর আসে Adjective।
- তারপর আসে Subject ও Verb।
- বাকী অংশ থাকলে তা শেষে বসে।
- শেষের দিকে exclamation mark (!) ব্যবহার করা হয়।

Examaple
Asser: It is a very beautiful garden.
Exel: What a beautiful garden it is!

Asser: The garden is very beautiful.

এখানে a বাদ দেওয়া হয়েছে, তাই countable noun হিসেবে ভুল। 

গ) How a hot day it is!

এখানে a বাদ দেওয়া হয়েছে, তাই singular countable noun হিসেবে ভুল

Complex sentence এ দুটি clause থাকে যাদের মধ্যে একটি principal clause এবং অন্যটি subordinate clause.
Compound sentence এ immediately / at that very moment থাকলে complex sentence এ as soon as বসে।
সুতরাং প্রদত্ত বাক্যটির complex হলো - As soon as she saw the boy, she fell in love with him.

• Correct Answer: ক) Karim is stronger than any other boy.

- মূল বাক্যে “No other boy is as strong as Karim” অর্থ - কোনো ছেলেই করিমের মতো শক্তিশালী নয়।
- No other থাকলে Comparative করতে হলে than any other বসাতে হয়।
- বাক্যটি একটি positive degree sentence, যা unique তুলনার জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- Comparative degree করার সময় "stronger than any other boy" ব্যবহৃত হয় এমন unique condition বোঝাতে।
- “Karim is stronger than any other boy” অর্থ- করিম অন্য যেকোনো ছেলের চেয়ে শক্তিশালী, যা মূল বাক্যের সমান অর্থ বহন করে।
- তাই এটিই সঠিক comparative রূপ।

Other options:
খ) "Karim is the strongest boy." → এটি superlative degree, comparative নয়।

গ) "Karim is as strong as all other boys." → এটি positive degree এবং মূল বাক্যের অর্থের সাথে মিলে না।

ঘ) "Karim is stronger than all boys." → exaggeration হয়, "any other boy" সঠিক, কারণ Karim নিজেই "all boys"-এর মধ্যে পড়বে না।

The correct answer is - ক) Though he was ill, he attended the meeting.
এটি একটি complex sentence যাতে একটি মূল clause ("he attended the meeting") এবং একটি subordinate clause ("though he was ill") রয়েছে।
"Though he was ill" সঠিকভাবে "in spite of his illness" এর অর্থ প্রকাশ করে, কারণ এটি অসুস্থতার কারণ বোঝায়।

Simple sentence-এ যদি In spite of ব্যবহৃত হয়, তাহলে Complex sentence করতে হলে Though/Although ব্যবহার করতে হয়।
আবার, Complex sentence-এ Though/Although থাকলে, সেটিকে Simple sentence করতে হলে In spite of বসে।

Complex: Though he is poor, he is happy.

এটি ভুল কারণ "his illness" একটি noun phrase, কিন্তু "though" এর পরে একটি সম্পূর্ণ subordinate clause (subject + verb) প্রয়োজন।

- Simple: He ran fast to catch the flight.

• So that যুক্ত complex কে simple করার নিয়ম:

- প্রদত্ত sentence এর প্রথম থেকে so এর পূর্ব পর্যন্ত বসে,
- so that থেকে many/might/can/could/ পর্যন্ত উঠে যায়,
- to বসে,
- প্রদত্ত sentence এর বাকি অংশ বসে।

Complex: He worked hard so that he could prosper.
Simple: He worked hard to prosper.
