• প্রদত্ত sentence টিতে Three-fifth এর পরিবর্তে Three-fifths বসলে Sentence টি সঠিক হতো।

• সাধারণত ভগ্নাংশের ক্ষেত্রে প্রথমটি One এর বেশি হলে দ্বিতীয়টির সঙ্গে 's' যোগ হয় (যেমন- Two-thirds).
- কিন্তু প্রথমটি One হলে দ্বিতীয়টির সঙ্গে 's' যোগ হয় না (যেমন- One-third).
- তবে ভগ্নাংশের পর Subject যদি 'singular' হয় তাহলে Verb singular হবে।
- Subject যদি 'plural' হলে Verb plural হবে।

• Correct Sentence: Three-fifths of the voters oppose the new law.

- এদের পর সব সময় verb এর Infinitive form বসে। কখনো verb এর gerund form বসে না।

- Able means the same as capable in many instances, but the grammar is very different.
- While,
able is followed by the infinitive,
capable is followed by of + (verb + ing).

- সুতরাং verb subject-এর সাথেই মিলতে হবে, phrase-এর সাথে নয়।

- এটি ভুল। এখানে is planning হওয়া উচিত।

- ভুল অংশটি হলো C (the).
- কারণ: "Europe" একটি proper noun (মহাদেশের নাম), এবং এর possessive form হয় Europe's.
- এখানে ভুল হলো the Europe's এর ব্যবহার – "the" article-এর সাথে possessive "Europe's" একসাথে ব্যবহার করা যায় না।
- সঠিক হবে "Europe's political landscape" (without "the") অথবা "the political landscape of Europe".

• অন্য অংশগুলোর বিশ্লেষণ:
A) at Waterloo → সঠিক (historical fact: Battle of Waterloo).
B) reshaped → সঠিক (past tense, subject-verb agreement সঠিক)।
D) Europe's → সঠিক (the Europe's redundant বা grammatically incorrect; possessive-এর আগে "the" না বসিয়ে শুধু Europe's বসাতে হবে)।

- এ ধরনের প্রশ্নে article + possessive-এর combination প্রায়শই error হিসেবে চিহ্নিত হয়।

• Inversion:
- Hardly, Scarcely, Rarely, Barely, Never, So, No sooner, By no means of, At no time, Not one, Not once, Not until, etc. Negative Adverb দিয়ে যদি কোন Sentence শুরু হয় তাহলে সেখানে Inversion হয়।
- অর্থাৎ, ঐ Sentence টি Interrogative structure ধারন করে।
- Structure: Negative Adverb + Auxiliary verb+ Subject + Main verb + ------

• বাক্যেটি যেহেতু So দিয়ে শুরু হয়েছে তাহলে বুঝতে হবে এখানে Inversion ব্যবহার হয়েছে।
- So যুক্ত Sentence এ adverb এবং Adjective দুটোরই ব্যবহার হয়ে থাকে।

• Structure: So + Adjective/ Adverb + auxiliary verb + subject + principle verb + extension.
- প্রশ্নে উল্লিখিত sentence টি structure মেনে গঠিত হয়েছে।
- তাই প্রদত্ত sentence টি সঠিক।

• Correct Sentence: So quickly did he run that he reached home on time.
- এখানে "quickly" হলো Adverb, এবং "so" দিয়ে এটি শুরু করা হয়েছে, যার ফলে subject ("he") এর আগে verb ("did") বসেছে।

• উল্লেখিত প্রশ্নে ভুলটি হচ্ছে (b) apparent.
-"Apparent" হচ্ছে adjective.
-  কিন্তু এই বাক্যের verb word tried কে modify করার জন্য এখানে একটি adverb প্রয়োজন।
-তাই এখানে apparent এর স্থলে apparently বসলে বাক্যটি শুদ্ধ হবে।
- The adverb apparently modifies the verb try.

• The required answer is - b.

• Had better:
- Had better অর্থ তবুও/ বরং ভালো।
- Had better যুক্ত sentence past tense এর হলেও তা মূলত past tense নয়।
- Had better unreal past ইহা present/ future tense এর অর্থ প্রকাশ করে।
- Had better এর পর infinitive to বসে না।
- সর্বদা verb এর base form বসে।

• প্রদত্ত sentence টিতে had better এরপর called বসেছে।
- কিন্তু had better এরপর verb এর base form বসে।
- তাই, এখানে called না হয়ে call হবে।

Determiner “a” এরপরে adjective কিন্তু adjective এর পরে কোন noun নেই।
Article a এরপরে noun এর প্রয়োজন হয়
সুতরাং different এর পরিবর্তে difference হলে বাক্যটি সঠিক হবে।

- Parallelism এর নিয়ম অনুসারে শব্দের ধারাবাহিকতা বজায় রাখতে হয়। এই নিয়ম অনুযায়ী income এর পরে wealth হয়েছে।
- অন্যদিকে adjective এরপরে noun বসে; সুতরাং large income and no wealth অংশটুকু সঠিক আছে।

- fond এর পরে সবসময় of ব্যবহৃত হয়, for নয়।

• Correct Answer: খ) have.

- Each শব্দটি সর্বদা একবচন subject হিসেবে বিবেচিত হয়।
- তাই এর সঙ্গে ব্যবহৃত verb-ও হতে হবে একবচন - অর্থাৎ has.
- এখানে have ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে, যা বহুবচন verb, তাই ভুল।
- সঠিক subject-verb agreement অনুযায়ী হওয়া উচিত: Each of the boys has done his homework.

Other options:
ক) of- এই শব্দটি বাক্যে নেই, তাই প্রাসঙ্গিক নয়।

গ) his - গ্রহণযোগ্য, কারণ “each” এর সঙ্গে “his” ব্যবহার হয়।

ঘ) No error - ভুল, কারণ "have" এর জায়গায় has হওয়া উচিত।

Turn up (phrasal verb): 
Meaning - (ক) উপস্থিত হওয়া; আসা: I doubt whether he will turn up at the meeting.
(খ) বিশেষত দৈবক্রমে পাওয়া যাওয়া: The stolen umbrella turned up in a flea market.
(গ) (সুযোগ ইত্যাদি) ঘটা: He’s hopeful that something may yet turn up.

• তাই অর্থ বিবেচনায় Correct Sentence - We didn't expect so many people to turn up for the event, and we had to rearrange the seating.

Extensive (বিস্তৃত) হচ্ছে adjective. 
- এটি verb এর পর ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।

Unforeseen - অভাবিত, অভাবিতপূর্ব। 
এছাড়াও, অন্যান্য অপশনসমূহ বাক্যে যথার্থ ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।

Correct Sentence - The researchers had extensively sought to solve the problem, but they encountered unforeseen challenges.

Sentence টিতে Parallelism এর ব্যবহার সঠিক হয় নি। 

• সমানুপাতিক বৃদ্ধি বা হ্রাসের ক্ষেত্রে parallelism নীতি অনুসরণ করতে হয়।
- The + comparative degree + ….. the + comparative degree হয়।

Sentence টির দ্বিতীয় অংশে 'the slower they move' আছে, তাই 'the colder the water.' হবে। 

Correct Sentence - When water is cooled, the molecules slow down, and the slower they move, the colder the water becomes.

• The required answer is - C.

• Hardly had/ scarcely had থাকলে sentence এর পরবর্তী clause "when" দিয়ে শুরু হয়।

• Hardly এর ব্যবহার: 
- Hardly অর্থ সবেমাত্র।
- Hardly + past perfect tense এরূপে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- Structure: Hardly had + subject + verb (past participle) + Object + when + Subject + verb (past) + Object.
- এভাবে একই অর্থে scarcely had ....... when/ before এরূপে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 

• Example Sentences:
- Hardly had he reached home when it began to rain.
- Hardly had we finished our delicious dinner when the doorbell rang.

• Complete Sentence - Hardly had we arrived at the station when the weather suddenly turned cloudy.

- Correct sentence: Tawhid postpones making decisions, planning trips, and buying expensive items.
- প্রদত্ত sentence টি Parallelism এর শর্ত মেনে হয়েছে।

• Parallelism:
- Parallelism হলো যখন কোনো বাক্যে ধারাবাহিক কিছু তথ্য দেওয়া থাকে, তখন প্রত্যেক তথ্য গঠন করার জন্য একই গঠনরূপ ব্যবহার করতে হয়।

• Parallelism এর নিয়ম অনুসারে,
- And, or, but, be verb ইত্যাদির আগেও যা বসে পরেও তা বসে, অর্থাৎ, সমজাতীয় parts of speech বসে।
- আবার, Both...and, Not only.... but also, Either...or, Neithert...nor ইত্যাদি Correlatives এর উভয় পাশে সমজাতীয় Parts of speech বসে।
- অর্থাৎ, noun, pronoun, adjective, verb, adverb হলে সবগুলো noun, pronoun, adjective, verb, adverb হবে।
- আবার Infinitive, Gerund হলে সবগুলো Infinitive, Gerund হবে।

• প্রদত্ত sentence টিতে postpones হলো main verb.
- postpones (verb) এর পরে কখনোই infinitive (to + verb) বসে না।
- তাই postpones (verb) এর পর to এর ব্যবহার হবে না।
- postpones (verb) এরপর সব সময় Gerund বসে তাই সবগুলোই Gerund Phrase হবে।

এখানে, 
- Subject-Verb-Agreement এর নিয়ম অনুযায়ী subject এর সাথে verb সঙ্গতিপূর্ণ নয়। 
- 'team' Collective noun হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 
- 'The team' দ্বারা একটি একটি team অর্থাৎ single subject বুঝাচ্ছে। 
- তাই verb-ও singular হবে। 

এছাড়াও, কোন বিষয় সম্পর্কে extra information দিতে যার/যাদের অর্থে 'whose' ব্যবহৃত হয়। 

তাই, সঠিক sentence টি হবে - The team of designers is working on a plan whose aim is to improve urban transportation.

Correct answer: the worker.
- "Neither of" এর পরে plural noun ব্যবহৃত হয়, কিন্তু verb singular verb হয়।
- Correct Sentence:: Neither of the workers was ready to work overtime, causing the deadline to be missed. 
- অতিরিক্ত সময় কাজ করার জন্য শ্রমিকদের কেউই প্রস্তুত ছিলেন না, যার ফলে কাজ শেষ করার সময়সীমা চলে গেল।

অন্যদিকে, 
খ) was- এটি সঠিক, কারণ "Neither of" এর পরে plural noun ব্যবহৃত হয়, কিন্তু verb singular verb হয়।

গ) causing- এটি  সঠিক। এটি একটি Participle phrase যা কারণ বোঝাচ্ছে।

ঘ) missed- এটি সঠিক। "to be missed" হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।

• কিছু Verb আছে যেগুলোর পর যদি আরেকটি Verb ব্যবহার করতে হয়, তাহলে Infinitive (to+verb) ব্যবহার করতে হবে,
- Verb এর সাথে Verb+ing ব্যবহার করা যাবে না।

• Verb গুলো হচ্ছে:

- agree,
- want,
- arrange,
- resemble,
- decide,
- demand,

- উল্লিখিত বাক্যে suggested এরপর work (verb) এর সাথে ing আছে। 
- কিন্তু suggested (verb) এরপর to + verb এর base form বসে।

Correct sentence: He had better study for the exam if he wants to pass.

• Had better এর পরে verb এর base form বসে।
- এখানে had হলো unreal past বা অবাস্তব অতীত।
- Had better অর্থ তবুও/ বরং ভালো।
- এ ধরণের বাক্য সবসময় present বা future অর্থ প্রদান করে।
- Had better যুক্ত sentence past tense এর হলেও তা মূলত past tense নয়।
- এ জাতীয় বাক্যগুলি মূলত একটি উপদেশ বা suggestion প্রকাশ করে।
- Had better এর পর infinitive to বসে না।

উত্তর: ক) great.

এই বাক্যে comparative degree ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে, কিন্তু than এর আগে great শব্দটি ভুলভাবে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।
• ইংরেজি গ্রামারে যখন nothing ব্যবহার করে তুলনা বোঝানো হয় (comparative degree), তখন greater than ব্যবহার করতে হয় — great এর পরিবর্তে greater হবে।

Correct sentence: There is nothing greater than truth, nor anything more powerful.

The word ‘obligation’ must be followed the preposition ‘to’ instead of ‘towards’ in this context. The word ‘obligation’ means ‘duty or commitment’.
Hence, the preposition ‘to’ should be used in place of ‘towards’ in order to make the sentence grammatically and contextually correct.
