• উল্লিখিত প্রশ্নটি Third Conditional sentence-এর উপর ভিত্তি করে করা হয়েছে।
- একটি Conditional sentence-এ দু'টি clause থাকে: subordinate clause (শর্ত বোঝায়) এবং principal clause (ফলাফল বোঝায়)।

• Third conditional -এর নিয়মানুযায়ী:
- If clause (শর্তযুক্ত অংশে)-এ যদি (had + V3) হয়, তবে পরবর্তী clause -এ would/could/might + have + V3 + extension হয়।
- If না থাকলে Condition part টি Had দ্বারা শুরু হতে পারে।
- Negative অর্থ প্রকাশ করলে would/could/might + not হয়।

• Structure:
- If + Past Perfect (had +V3) + Subject + would/could/might + have + verb-এর past participle.
- Had + Sub + Past participle + Subject + would/could/might + have + verb-এর past participle.

- সুতরাং, নিয়মানুযায়ী সঠিক বাক্যটি হলো- খ) Had I taken the medicine, I would have felt better.

• অপশনে উল্লিখিত শব্দগুলোর অর্থ -
ক) otherwise - অন্যভাবে; ভিন্নভাবে।
খ) unless - যদি না।
গ) if - যদি।
ঘ) though - যদিও; যদ্যপি।

অপশন বিবেচনা করে দেখা যায়, শূন্যস্থানে otherwise বসালে বাক্যটি সঠিক হয়। 

• সুতরাং, বুঝা যাচ্ছে, শূন্যস্থানে সঠিক উত্তর হবে - otherwise.

Else - (informal) if not
Synonym - or else
- Keep your mouth shut, else we'll be in trouble.
- Give me to drink, else I shall die of thirst. 

We use or else to say what the result will be if something does not happen:

- I’ll have to leave now, or else I’ll miss my train. (If I don’t leave now, I’ll miss my train.)
- Make sure you are strapped in very well, or else you will fall out.

যত ---- তত বা আনুপাতিক হ্রাস-বৃদ্ধি বুঝাতে দুইটি adverb comparative এর প্রত্যেকটির পূর্বে the বসে।
অর্থাৎ The + comparative + ---, the + comparative + --- structure টি ব্যবহৃত হয়।
যেমন- The more you study during the semester, the less you have to study the week before exams.
The greater the population, the poorer is the country.

• After এর পূর্বে যদি বাক্য Past indefinite tense হয় তবে after এর পরে past perfect tense হবে।
- আর After এর আগের অংশ Present Indefinite বা Future Indefinite হলে পরের অংশ Present Perfect tense হয়।

• Structure:
- Past Indefinite + after + Past Perfect. Or, After + Past Perfect + Past Indefinite.
- Present Indefinite বা Future Indefinite + after + Present Perfect tense.

• প্রশ্ন প্রদত্ত বাক্যে, After এর পূর্বে  যেহেতু past Indefinite রয়েছে তাই পরের অংশ Past Perfect tense হবে।
- Correct sentence: I came home after the rain had stopped.

• A flock of birds is sitting in the tree.

Flock (Collective noun)
- English Meaning: a group of animals (such as birds or sheep) assembled or herded together
- Bangla Meaning: (পাখির) ঝাঁক; (পশুর) পাল।

Other options:
"Pack" is typically used for animals like wolves or dogs.
- যেমন: a pack of hounds/wolves/dogs.

"School" is used for fish.
যেমন: a school of fish.

"Swarm" is used for insects like bees or ants.
- যেমন: a swarm of ants/locusts/bees.

Collective Noun:
- যে Noun একজাতীয় ব্যক্তি বা বস্তু ইত্যাদি অবিভক্ত সমষ্টিকে বুঝায় তাকে Collective Noun বলে।
- "Flock" দারা পাখি না ভোদান গোষ্ঠীকে বসানো হয়।

• যেমন- You had better stay here.

Callous এর সাথে appropriate preposition রূপে to ব্যবহৃত হয়।
যেমনঃ He is callous to his studies.

ইংরেজিতে "not all that + adjective" ব্যবহার করা হয় কোনো কিছু খুব বেশি বা অতিরিক্ত নয় বোঝাতে।

• not all that: [idiom]
English meaning: not very, or not really.
Bangla meaning: তেমন নয়; খুব বেশি নয়; আসলে নয়।

Example:
- It isn’t all that cheap.
- The game of football is not all that complicated.
- I'm not all that excited about going camping.

অপশনের বিশ্লেষণ:
খ) The game of football is not so that complicated. 
- "So that" একটি conjunction যা purpose/result clause শুরু করে।
- এখানে এর ব্যবহার ভুল।

গ) The game of football is not as that complicated. 
- "As that" এভাবে ব্যবহার করা যায় না।
- "As" সাধারণত comparison এর জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয় (as...as structure).

ঘ) The game of football is not all so complicated. 
- "All so" combination ভুল।
- এটি standard English এ ব্যবহৃত হয় না।

- Subject যখন নিজে কাজ না করে অন্যকে দিয়ে কাজ করিয়ে নেয় তখন এই অর্থে Causative Verb ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- Help, Get, Have, Let, Make ইত্যাদি বহুল ব্যবহৃত Causative Verb।
- Causative Verb 'Have' এর ব্যবহার:
১) Have এর পর ব্যক্তি থাকলে তার পর verb এর base form হয়। যেমন:
- He had Rahman do the work.
২) Have এর পর বস্তু থাকলে এর পর verb এর past participle form হয়। যেমন:
- He had my car washed.
- My mother had her photo taken by a well-known photographer.

• Either --- or, Neither --- nor দ্বারা Singular Subject যুক্ত হলে Verb Singular হয়।

• Many a/an (Determiner):
- English Meaning - Many times.
- Bangla Meaning - অনেকেই/ অনেক সংখ্যক/কত না।

• Complete Sentence: Many a student feels anxious before the exam. 
- Bangla meaning: অনেক ছাত্র পরীক্ষার আগে উদ্বিগ্ন থাকে।

- "Many a/an" এর পর singular countable noun এবং singular verb ব্যবহার করা হয়।
- প্রদত্ত বাক্যে "Many a" এর পর singular noun "student" আছে, তাই singular verb "feels" হবে।

• Structure:
- Many a/an + singular countable noun + singular verb.

• More Examples:
- Many a flower has bloomed in this garden.
- Many a woman faces hardship every day.

প্রথম বাক্যে great এর superlative হবে, দ্বিতীয় বাক্যে Very few এর পর plural form বসবে, শেষ বাক্যটিতে no other থাকায় verb singular হবে।
The correct sentences are -

- Very few vices are as inhuman as anger.
- At present no other game in our country is as popular as cricket.

• Correct sentence: গ) This is a perfect solution.
 
• Degree of Comparison নিয়ম অনুসারে,
- Perfect, unique, complete, absolute, supreme, extreme, excellent ইত্যাদি absolute adjective.
- এরা নিজেরাই সম্পূর্ণ অর্থ প্রকাশ করে, তাই এদের আগে more, most, very বা –est ব্যবহার করা যায় না।
- Perfect মানে “সম্পূর্ণ / নিখুঁত”—এর চেয়ে বেশি বা কম নিখুঁত বলা ব্যাকরণগতভাবে ভুল।

Other Options:
ক) This is the perfectest solution.
- perfectest ভুল form; perfect-এর comparative বা superlative হয় না।

খ) This is more perfect solution.
- more ব্যবহার করা যাবে না, কারণ perfect absolute adjective.

ঘ) This is the most perfect solution.
- most ব্যবহার ভুল; perfect নিজেই superlative অর্থ দেয়।

The Proper sequence should be: RSPQ.

Correct sentence: The advantage of travelling in different places and having the opportunities of observing people's customs and manners is that we learn to appreciate the good points of others and our prejudice against them disappears.

যেমনঃ

• Relative pronoun:
- যে pronoun পূর্বে উল্লেখিত কোন Noun বা Pronoun কে নির্দেশ পূর্বক দুটি বাক্যাংশ/বাক্যকে যুক্ত করে তাকে Relative Pronoun বলে।
- Who, which, that, what - এগুলো Relative Pronoun রূপে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- ব্যক্তির পরিবর্তে relative pronoun হিসেবে who/ whom/ whose বসে।
- বস্তুর ক্ষেত্রে which/ that বসে 
- ব্যক্তি নয় ও বস্তুও নয় এমন বোঝাতে what বসে।

- দুই clause বিশিষ্ট বাক্যে gap (শূন্যস্থানে) এর পরে verb থাকলে এবং antecedent (পূর্বপদ) টি person হলে gap এ "who" বসে।
- তবে antecedent (পূর্বপদ) টি thing/animal হলে gap এ "which/that" বসে।

- প্রদত্ত বাক্যে gap (শূন্যস্থানে) এর পরে verb (knocking) এবং antecedent (পূর্বপদ) টি person (you), তাই gap এ "who" বসবে।

Bangla Meaning: পাশাপাশি
Ex. Sentence: He was standing at her elbow, holding out her glass.
Bangla Meaning: সে তার গ্লাস হাতে ধরে তার পাশেই দাঁড়িয়ে ছিল।

Correct answer: All of the above.

উল্লিখিত অপশনগুলো
ক) If we had left earlier, we would have arrived on time. 
- Conditional sentence টি Third condition এর নিয়ম অনুসারে সঠিক। কারণ 3rd condition এর নিয়ম অনুসারে If যুক্ত Clause টি Past Perfect tense হলে অপর Clause টিতে would have/Could have+ verb এর past participle হয়।

খ) If I won a lottery, I would buy a big house.
- Conditional sentence টি 2nd condition এর নিয়ম অনুসারে সঠিক। কারণ 2nd condition এর নিয়ম অনুসারে If যুক্ত Clause টি Past Indefinite tense হলে অপর Clause টিতে would /Could + verb এর Present form হয়।

ঘ) If it rains, we won't go to the park.
- Conditional sentence টি 1st condition এর নিয়ম অনুসারে সঠিক। কারণ 1st condition এর নিয়ম অনুসারে If যুক্ত Clause টি Present Indefinite tense হলে অপর Clause টিতে will/can/may/shall + verb এর Present form হয়।

ক- The man was died last month. die- Intransitive Verb হওয়ায় এটা কখনো Passive হয় না।
খ- স্বাস্থ্য যত্ন নেয় না, বরং স্বাস্থের যত্ন নিতে হয়, তাই বাক্যটা Passive হতে হবে।
গ- vanished – Intransitive Verb হিসেবে Active Voice এ Past Indefinite Tense এ এর ব্যবহার সঠিক হয়েছে।
ঘ- Rome শহরটি মানুষের দ্বারা নির্মিত হয়েছে। তাই এটা Passive হওয়া বাঞ্ছনীয়।
সবগুলোর সঠিক বাক্য হবে নিম্নরূপ:
- He died last night.
- Health should be taken care of.
- The wizard vanished from our sight.
- Rome was not built in a day.

• প্রশ্নটি করা হয়েছে Before যুক্ত বাক্যের গঠন এর উপর ভিত্তি করে। 

• Before যুক্ত বাক্যের গঠন:
- Past perfect + before + Past indefinite.
- 'Before' conjunction যুক্ত sentence এ before এর পুর্বে past perfect tense হয় এবং before এর পরে past indefinite হবে।

• Sentence Correction: He had locked the door before he went to bed.

- বাক্যটিতে before এর পূর্বে past perfect tense ও পরে past indefinite হওয়াতে সঠিক হয়েছে।

তাই নিয়মানুযায়ী অন্য অপশনগুলো ভুল।

To come to the fore = To become prominent.
To the fore = If someone or something comes to the fore in a particular situation or group, they become important or popular.

• ইংরেজিতে fill in একটি phrasal verb যার অর্থ হলো কোনো ফর্ম, ফাঁকা জায়গা বা খালি স্থান পূরণ করা।

এখন এই phrasal verb-এর ক্ষেত্রে খুব গুরুত্বপূর্ণ নিয়ম হলো:

• যখন object টা noun হয় (যেমন: the form, a form), তখন আমরা বলতে পারি দুইভাবে:
- fill in the form.
- fill the form in. (দুটোই ঠিক।)

কিন্তু যখন object টা pronoun হয় (যেমন: it, him, them), তখন শুধু particle (in) টাকে object-এর পরে বসাতে হয়। অর্থাৎ:fill it in → ঠিক।
fill in it → ভুল।

অপশনগুলো:
ক) fill in it → ভুল (pronoun-এর ক্ষেত্রে in আগে বসে না।)

গ) fill on it → ভুল ("on" এখানে একদমই ব্যবহার হয় না।)
