• Complete sentence: She cried as if she had lost her only friend.

• As if / As though যুক্ত sentence এর পূর্বে Past Indefinite Tense থাকলে as if/ as though এর পরে Past Perfect Tense হয়।

• আবার, As if / As though যুক্ত sentence এর পূর্বে Present Indefinite Tense থাকলে as if/ as though এর পরে Past Indefinite Tense হয় এবং Be verb থাকলে সবসময় were হয়।

Those শব্দটি হচ্ছে Demonstrative Pronoun. এটি দুটি Clause কে যুক্ত করতে পারে না।
তাই (ক) ও (খ) ভুল।
(ঘ) এর মধ্যে who is curious না দিয়ে who is curiosity দেয়ায় বাক্যটি ভুল।
(গ) তে সবকিছু সঠিকভাবে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে। এখানে প্রধান Clause এ Subject হিসেবে those আছে। তারপর Relative Pronoun – who দিয়ে Adjective Clause টি ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে। তারপর প্রধান Clause এর বাকী অংশ ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।

প্রদত্ত প্রশ্নের শূন্যস্থানে এমন একটি শব্দ বসবে যাতে বাক্যের অর্থ পূর্ণতা পায়। 

অপশনসমূহ, 
assess - পরিমাণ নির্ধারণ বা স্থির করা; ধার্য করা। 
accent - উচ্চারণভঙ্গি। 
assent - সম্মতি; সংসদে গৃহীত কোনো বিলের প্রতি রাষ্ট্রপতির অনুমোদন; প্রতিগ্রহ।
ascent - আরোহণ; আরোহণপথ; সমুত্থান। 

অপশনসমূহ বিবেচনা করে দেখা যায়, শূন্যস্থানে 'ascent' শব্দটি বসালে বাক্যের অর্থ পূর্ণতা পাবে।

Bangla Meaning; বিমানটি উড্ডয়ন করার সাথে সাথে, আমরা একটি ইঞ্জিন থেকে ঘন ধোঁয়া বেরিয়ে আসতে দেখলাম।

- এই বাক্যটি দ্বারা বুঝাচ্ছে বক্তা চিৎকার করে সবাইকে সতর্ক করছিল। 
- অর্থাৎ কাজ দুটি simultaneously হচ্ছিল। 
- কোনো কিছু করা বোঝাতে Present Participle (Verb + ing) বসে। তাই 'Shouting' সঠিক। 

• Correct sentence: She prepared gifts for you and me.

• Preposition এর পরে সবসময় Pronoun এর object form বসে।
- প্রদত্ত অপশনে object form হলো - you and me.
- আর একাধিক object form বসলে, অর্থাৎ First person, Second person, Third person- এর Pronoun বা Noun যদি একই বাক্যে ব্যবহার করতে হয় তাহলে প্রথমে 2nd person, পরে 3rd person এবং অবশেষে 1st person বসে।

• with, together with, as well as, along with, in addition to, accompanied by দ্বারা কোন noun বা pronoun যুক্ত হলে এদের পূর্ববর্তী subject অনুযায়ী verb হয়।
- "The Committee" একটি collective noun, যা সাধারণত একক ভাবেই ধরা হয় এবং এর সাথে singular verb ব্যবহার করা হয়।
- তাই singular verb "has" ব্যবহার হবে।

Complete sentence: The Committee, along with the CEO, has decided to postpone the meeting until next week.

অন্যান্য অপশন কেন ভুল:

ক) have decided - plural verb, কিন্তু subject singular.

গ) are deciding - continuous tense, এই context এ সঠিক নয়।

ঘ) were deciding - past continuous, এই context এ সঠিক নয়।

Expressions such as with, together with, including, accompanied by, in addition to, or as well do not change the number of the subject. If the subject is singular, the verb is too.
The President, accompanied by his wife, is traveling to Bangladesh.
All of the books, including yours, are in that box.

শুধু Used to এর পর Verb এর base form বসে।

• An embedded question is a question that is included inside another question or statement. 
- অর্থাৎ, Embedded Question হলো এমন একটি প্রশ্ন, যা আরেকটি বাক্যের ভেতরে সংযুক্ত থাকে এবং এটি সাধারণত indirect question হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়। এটি মূলত statement বা indirect question আকারে থাকে, যেখানে স্বাভাবিক প্রশ্নবোধক কাঠামো পরিবর্তিত হয়।
- এতে সরাসরি প্রশ্নের মতো auxiliary verb (do, does, did) ব্যবহৃত হয় না।

- তাই, Do you know where he lives? - সঠিক। এখানে "where he lives" – statement-এর মতো word order (he lives) ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে। এটিই সবচেয়ে স্বাভাবিক ও ব্যাকরণগতভাবে সঠিক বাক্য।

Options,

ক) Do you know where does he live?
- ভুল। কারণ পরোক্ষ প্রশ্নে "does" ব্যবহার করে inversion করা যায় না।

খ) Do you know where did he live?
- ভুল। "did" ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে, যা past tense-এর জন্য। কিন্তু বাক্যটি present-এর কথা বলছে। তাছাড়া inversionও ভুল।

ঘ) Do you know where is his living place?
- ভুল। "where is his living place" – এখানে inversion (is his) করা হয়েছে, যা indirect question-এ হওয়া উচিত নয়। তাছাড়া "his living place" বলার চেয়ে "where he lives" অনেক বেশি স্বাভাবিক।

Inhibit (verb transitive) বাধাগ্রস্ত; প্রতিনিবৃত্ত করা; সংযত/নিয়ত/দমন করা।

Two-thirds of the roads have been constructed.

• সাধারণত ভগ্নাংশের ক্ষেত্রে প্রথমটি One এর বেশি হলে দ্বিতীয়টির সঙ্গে 's' যোগ হয় (যেমন- Two-thirds).
- কিন্তু প্রথমটি One হলে দ্বিতীয়টির সঙ্গে 's' যোগ হয় না (যেমন- One-third)।
- আবার সব ধরনের ভগ্নাংশের পরে noun-singular হলে verb- singular এবং noun-plural হলে verb-plural হয়।

- has been→ভগ্নাংশের পর noun-plural হওয়ায় singular verb has been এর ব্যবহার, ভুল।
- অন্যদিকে শুধু Have/has এর ব্যবহার ভুল।কারন বাচ্যটি একটি কর্ম বাচ্যের উদাহরন।রাস্তা নিজে নিজে নির্মিত হয় না,কারো দ্বারা নির্মিত হয়।

interfere (verb intransitive)
(১) interfere (in something) (ব্যক্তি) অনধিকারচর্চা/ পরাধিকারচর্চা/ অনধিকার প্রবেশ করা; হস্তক্ষেপ করা; নাক গলানো: He is always interfering in my affairs.
(২) interfere (with) (ব্যক্তি) অনধিকারপূর্ণ হস্তক্ষেপ করা; অনধিকারচর্চা করা: you should not interfere with this machine.
(৩) interfere (with) (ঘটনা, পরিস্থিতি ইত্যাদি) অন্তরায় হওয়া; সংঘর্ষে লিপ্ত হওয়া; ব্যাহত করা: You filial piety should not interfere with your duty.

• The correct sentence: খ) He is somewhat of a liar. (সে কিছুটা মিথ্যাবাদী।)

-  কিছু পরিমাণে (Somewhat of); কিছুটা (Somewhat) অর্থে adverb হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

• Other options:
ক) He gave me an advice.
- "advice" uncountable, তাই এর পূর্বে "an" বসে না, A piece of advice/some advice হবে।

গ) The rich is not always happy.
-  "The rich" (plural noun) requires a plural verb "are".
- Correct sentence: "The rich are not always happy."

ঘ) She saw an one eyed man.
- "One-eyed" starts with a 'w' sound (as in "won"), so it takes the indefinite article "a" (not "an").
- অর্থাৎ, One এর পূর্বে article হিসেবে "a" বসে।
- Correct sentence: "She saw a one-eyed man."

• Correct Answer: খ) He is good at English.
- সে ইংরেজি বিষয়ে ভালো।

- Good at (দক্ষ)
- যখন আমরা বলতে চাই যে কেউ কোনো বিষয়ে বা কাজে ভালো, তখন আমরা "good at" ব্যবহার করি।
- "at" preposition টি দক্ষতা বা পারদর্শিতা বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

- He is good at math. (সে গণিতে ভালো।)
- She is good at drawing. (সে আঁকাতে ভালো।)

- "Good in" - ভুল preposition.

- "Good on" → এটা কিছু নির্দিষ্ট context-এ ব্যবহার হয়, যেমন:
- He gave a good talk on English (ইংরেজি বিষয়ে ভালো বক্তৃতা দিল)।
- কিন্তু এখানে "on" ঠিক নয়।

ঘ) He is good with English.
- "Good with" সাধারণত কোনো ব্যক্তি বা যন্ত্রপাতির সাথে কাজ করার দক্ষতা বোঝায়।
- যেমন: She is good with kids. (সে বাচ্চাদের সঙ্গে ভালো আচরণ করে।)

• Articles মুলত Noun, Pronoun এর আগে বসে তাদের সংখ্যা এবং নির্দিষ্টতা, অনির্দিষ্টতা জ্ঞাপন করে।
- Articles কে প্রধানত দুই ভাগে ভাগ করে যায়।
• Indefinite Articles: A, An-এরা  Indefinite Article.
• Definite Articles: The - Definite Article.

• এখানে কোনো নির্দিষ্ট dress-এর কথা বলা হচ্ছে না, বরং যেকোনো একটি dress-এর কথা বলা হচ্ছে।
"Dress" শব্দটি consonant sound দিয়ে শুরু হয়েছে।আর বাক্যে এটি প্রথমবার উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে।
- তাই indefinite article "a" ব্যবহার হবে।
Complete sentence: My sister really wants a dress for Christmas.

অন্যদিকে, 
The - নির্দিষ্ট (specific) dress-এর কথা বললে বসে, যেটা আগে থেকে উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে। 
Example: My sister really wants the dress we saw yesterday.
- (আগে দেখা নির্দিষ্ট ড্রেস) তাই the বসবে।

Correct sentence - It is high time we left the party.
- যদি subject থাকে (যেমন: we, he, they), তাহলে verb এর past tense ব্যবহার হয়।

• It is time/It is high time এরপর যদি subject না থাকে তবে to + verb হয়।
Example: It is high time to stop corruption.

• It is time/ It is high time এরপর যদি subject থাকে তাহলে verb টি past tense এ হয়।
- It is high time we left the place.
 - It is high time we stopped corruption.
- It is high time he changed his bad habits.

Other options,
ক) It is high time we to left the party.
→ “we” এর পরে “to” আসবে না।

গ) It is high time we leave the party.
→ “leave” present tense, এখানে past tense হতে হবে।

ঘ) It is high time to left the party.
→ “to left” ভুল, “to leave” হতে হবে এবং subject না থাকলে।

• would rather অর্থ – বরং করব/বলব/যাব ইত্যাদি।
- would rather দিয়ে দুটি কাজের মধ্যে দ্বিতীয়টির চেয়ে প্রথমটি শ্রেয়, এ রকম বোঝায়।
- Would rather এর পরে Verb এর Present form হয়।
- Structure: Sub + would rather + verb এর present form + than + এরপর সরাসরি verb/noun বসে।

• সুতরাং, নিয়মানুযায়ী সঠিক উত্তর - I would rather stay at home than go out in the rain.

• Prohibit, desist, refrain, abstain, exempt, debar, hinder, prevent ইত্যাদি verb এর পর
- from + gerund (verb+ing) ব্যবহৃত হয়।
