• বাক্যটির অর্থ অনুযায়ী বোঝা যাচ্ছে—ধূমপান সরাসরি বা সঙ্গে সঙ্গে মৃত্যু ঘটায় না, কিন্তু এটি হৃদরোগে আক্রান্ত হওয়ার সম্ভাবনা বাড়ায়। এই অর্থে শূন্যস্থানে এমন একটি verb দরকার, যা ঝুঁকি বা সম্ভাবনা বৃদ্ধি বোঝায়।

Given options:
- increases শব্দের অর্থ বৃদ্ধি করা—এটি risk বা chance-এর সঙ্গে স্বাভাবিকভাবে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- emphasizes - জোর দেওয়া বা গুরুত্ব আরোপ করা।
- encourages - উৎসাহ দেওয়া—এটি মানুষের কাজ বা আচরণের ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- involves - অন্তর্ভুক্ত থাকা বা অপরিহার্য পরিণাম হওয়া।
- সুতরাং, বাক্যের অর্থপূর্ণ ও প্রাঞ্জল গঠন নিশ্চিত করতে increases-ই সঠিক উত্তর।

• Either ...... or, Neither….nor, Not only….but also দ্বারা যুক্ত একাধিক subject -এর ক্ষেত্রে verb টি তার নিকটতম subject অনুসারে বসে।
- অর্থাৎ, assertive sentence -এ or, nor, but also -এর পরে singular subject থাকলে singular verb এবং plural subject থাকলে plural verb বসবে।

- যেমন: Neither Rana nor his friends have been found guilty.
- এখানে যেহেতু, শেষের অংশে his friends – Plural Noun, তাই plural verb 'have been' (passive) হবে।

- Structure:
• [Either/neither] + noun + [or/nor] + singular noun + singular verb.
- Neither the salesmen nor the marketing manager is in favour of the system.

• [Either/neither] + noun + [or/nor] + plural noun + plural verb.
- Neither Rony nor his friends are going to the beach today.

- এখানে একটি Subjunctive verb. Subjunctive mood - এর নিয়ম অনুসারে suggest এর পর that + subject থাকলে সেখানে verb এর base form হয়।

• Verbs যেগুলো Present Subjunctive হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়:
- Command, ask, advise, demand, decree, insist, move, prefer, propose, request, require, suggest, stipulate, urge ইত্যাদি।
- এই verb গুলোর পরে যখন that দিয়ে একটি subordinate clause আসে, তখন সেই clause-এর verb-টি সবসময় "base form" হয়।
- তবে, Subjunctive এর পর যদি 'that' না বসে এবং Object বসে  তাহলে verb এর infinitive form হয়।

- We urge him to rest for a week.

• Blessed with (Idiom):
- English Meaning: To have something that you feel is special or lucky.
- Bangla Meaning: সৌভাগ্যশালী হওয়া।

• কোনো কিছু দ্বারা সৌভাগ্যশালী হওয়া বুঝাতে blessed এর সাথে with ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- Blessed with সাধারণত যা ইচ্ছাকৃত অর্জন নয় বরং সৌভাগ্য বা ঈশ্বর প্রদত্ত বলে ধরা হয়।

- বাক্যে টির subject হলো The decoration যা Singular. তাই verb ও singular হবে।
- বাক্যের ধরণে বুঝা যাচ্ছে নতুন ডেকোরেশন টা আগের ডেকোরেশনের চেয়ে ভালো। অর্থাৎ, দুটি জিনিসের মধ্যে তুলনা হচ্ছে। আর দুটি জিনিসের মধ্যে তুলনার ক্ষেত্রে more ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- অর্থাৎ, উত্তর হবে is more pleasing.

Correct sentence: Everybody has gone there.

• Everybody, Everyone, Everything, Nobody, No one, Nothing, Anybody, Anyone, Anything, Someone, Somebody, something, ইত্যাদি বাক্যের Subject হলে এদের পরে সর্বদাই singular verb বসে।
- এগুলো সর্বদা Singular এবং এদের পরে সর্বদাই singular verb বসে।
- আবার এরা subject হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হলে এদের possessive টিও singular হয়।
- যেমন: Everybody has performed his duties.

ক) Everybody have gone there.
→ এটি ভুল কারণ Everybody এর পর plural Verb ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে।

→ এটি ভুল কারণ possessive এর ভুল প্রয়োগ করা হয়েছে।
গ) Everybody has went there.
→ এটি ভুল কারণ Auxiliary verb (has) এর পর verb -এর past pasrticiple 'gone' হবে, past form 'went' নয়।

• Correct sentence: The teacher, as well as the students, was excited about the trip.

• Along with, together with, as well as, including, addition to, accompanied by ইত্যাদি দ্বারা দুইটি subject যুক্ত হলে verb হবে প্রথম subject অনুযায়ী।
- এখানে 'The teacher' এবং 'the students' - as well as দ্বারা যুক্ত হয়েছে।
- প্রথম subject 'The teacher' হলো singular তাই verb টি singular (was) হবে।

- My mother, as well as my father, likes gardening.
- Ali, as well as his colleagues, is attending the conference.

অন্যান্য অপশনগুলোর বিশ্লেষণ:

→ ভুল। Verb নেই (অসম্পূর্ণ বাক্য)।

 → ভুল। Plural verb "were" ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে, কিন্তু প্রথম subject অনুযায়ী singular verb হবে।

ঘ) The teacher, as well as the students, are excited about the trip.
 → ভুল। Present tense "are" ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে, কিন্তু প্রথম subject অনুযায়ী singular verb হবে।

Options,

ক) corroborated:
- প্রতিপন্ন। 

খ) refuted:
- খণ্ডন করা। 

গ) verified:
- সত্যতা/যথার্থতা যাচাই/পরীক্ষা করা। 

ঘ) confirmed:
- পাকা; যার পরিবর্তন হওয়া বা ভালো হওয়া মোটামুটি অসম্ভব।

অপশন বিবেচনা করে দেখা যায়, শূন্যস্থানে refuted বসালে বাক্যটি পরিপুর্ণ হয়। 

Complete sentence: The scientist’s findings were refuted by subsequent experiments that failed to replicate the results.

Bangla: বিজ্ঞানীর অনুসন্ধান/উপাত্ত পরবর্তী পরীক্ষাগুলো দ্বারা খণ্ডিত হয়েছিল, যেগুলো তার ফলাফল পুনরুত্পাদন করতে ব্যর্থ হয়েছিল।

• ​Complete Sentence: Hardly had I closed the gate when the dog jumped over it.

- কোনো বাক্যে hardly had থাকলে, hardly had যুক্ত অংশটি past perfect tense এ হয় ও verb এর past participle form হয় এবং hardly had এর পরবর্তী clause টি শুরু করতে হয় when দিয়ে এবং বাকি অংশ টুকু past indefinite tense এ হয়।
- Structure: Hardly had + sub + verb এর past participle form + When + past indefinite tense.
- যেহেতু প্রদত্ত প্রশ্নের প্রথম Clause টি hardly had যুক্ত এবং past perfect tense-এ আছে তাই এর পরবর্তী clause অবশ্যই শুরু করতে হবে when দিয়ে এবং tense হবে past indefinite.
- তাই, এখানে, Hardly এর পরে শূন্যস্থানে - had I closed হয়েছে।

সহজে মনে রাখার সুবিধার্থে,
- কোনো কিছু হওয়া/ করা মাত্রই অন্য কিছু হয়েছিল/ করেছিল বোঝাতে অথবা হতে না...হতেই / করতে না No sooner had......than এভাবে আসে। করতেই বোঝাতে বাক্যে সবসময় Hardly had.......when, scarcely had...when,
- আর When ও than এর পূর্বে Past perfect Tense এবং When ও than এর পরে Past Indefinite Tense ব্যবহৃত হয়।

• situation বসে চারপাশে কি ঘটছে বা পরিস্থিতি বোঝাতে।

গুহায় আটকে পড়া বুঝাতে Cave এর পূর্বে in ব্যবহার করতে হয়।

• প্রদত্ত শূন্যস্থান পূরণের ক্ষেত্রে একটি Object Pronoun দরকার হবে যাতে বক্তা কার দিকে ইঙ্গিত করছে সেটি বোঝা যায়।
- এছাড়া, insist on এর পরে সাধারণত Possessive Pronoun (my, your, his, etc.) বসে থাকে।

• সুতরাং, শূন্যস্থানে সঠিক উত্তর হবে - his.

• Correct Sentence: She insisted on his attending the meeting despite feeling unwell.

• অন্যদিকে,
- Insist on/upon/ Insist on doing something.
- English Meaning: To keep doing something, even if it annoys other people, or people think it is not good for you.
- Bangla Meaning: কোনো কিছুতে জোর দেয়া বা পীড়াপীড়ি করা।
- Insist on/ upon এর সাথে verb এর (ing) form বসে।

• Determiner -এর নিয়মানুযায়ী,
- uncountable noun -এর পূর্বে little/less/least ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- এখানে 'Money' হলো- uncountable noun এবং বাক্যটি তুলনা বুঝাচ্ছে বিধায় "little" -এর comparative form "less" বসবে।

অন্যদিকে,
ক) I have fewer money than I did before.
- 'Fewer' ব্যবহৃত হয় countable noun -এর তুলনা বুঝালে।

খ) I have most money than I did before.
- 'most' comparative structure -এ নয় superlative -এর ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

গ) I have little money than I did before.
- 'little' হলো- positive form, কিন্তু comparative structure -এ "little" -এর comparative form "less/lesser" ব্যবহৃত হবে।

• Complete sentence: Neither of the girls has attended the meeting.
- Bangla meaning: মেয়েদের কেউই মিটিং এ উপস্থিত হয়নি।

• 'Neither of' যুক্ত বাক্য গঠনের নিয়মাবলী:
- Neither + of + plural noun + singular verb.
- Neither of এর পরে plural noun এবং singular verb বসে।

- অর্থাৎ, Each of, Either of, Neither of এর পরে plural noun বা pronoun এবং singular verb বসে।
- এবং তাদের possessive pronoun টিও singular (his/her) হয়।
- Either দ্বারা দুইয়ের প্রত্যেকটি বুঝানো হয়।
- Neither দ্বারা দুইয়ের কোনটিই নয় বুঝানো হয়।

• সঠিক উত্তর: খ) on.

• মানচিত্রে দেখানোর ক্ষেত্রে ইংরেজিতে আমরা সবসময় "on" preposition ব্যবহার করি।
- কারণ মানচিত্রকে একটি surface বা পৃষ্ঠতল হিসেবে বিবেচনা করা হয়। 
- যেকোনো স্থান বা দেশ মানচিত্রের উপরে (on) দেখানো হয়।

- ​সঠিক বাক্য, কারণ Walking through the labyrinthine streets অংশটি we-কে বোঝাচ্ছে, যারা হাঁটছিল। অন্য বাক্যগুলোতে modifier টি ভুলভাবে cathedral-এর সাথে যুক্ত হয়েছে, যা অর্থহীন।
- Modifier Walking through the labyrinthine streets must logically modify we.
- Modifier সবসময় subject-এর সাথে যুক্ত হতে হবে। এখানে we subject-এর সাথে যুক্ত হয়েছে।

​ক) Walking through the labyrinthine streets, the cathedral... → Problem: the cathedral হাঁটছিল না; dangling modifier.

গ) We suddenly saw the cathedral, walking through the labyrinthine streets. → বাক্যটি ভাষা পরিষ্কার নয়।

 → Passive voice + dangling modifier ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে তাই ভুল।

ঙ) The cathedral, walking through the labyrinthine streets, suddenly appeared.
 → বুঝাচ্ছে cathedral নিজে হাঁটছিল তাই ভুল।

• Correct Sentence: No sooner had he opened the book than he fell asleep.
- Bangla Meaning: বইটা খুলতে না খুলতেই সে ঘুমিয়ে পড়ল।

• No sooner had যুক্ত বাক্য গঠনের নিয়ম:
- No sooner had + subject + 1st clause (verb এর past participle) + than (not then) + subject + 2nd clause (verb এর past form).

- নিয়মানুযায়ী, প্রদত্ত বাক্যের 1st clause এ 'No sooner had' এর পর verb এর past participle 'opened' বসেছে, তাই পরবর্তী অংশে than + subject + verb এর past form 'fell' বসেছে। 
- Fall -এর past form হলো 'fell' এবং past participle form হলো 'fallen'.

• উল্লেখ্য যে,
- No sooner had, Hardly had, Scarcely had এবং As soon as সবগুলোই ‘করতে না করতেই/ হতে না হতেই’ এ রকম অর্থে ব্যবহৃত হয় এবং এর প্রথম অংশ Past Perfect এবং ২য় অংশে Past Indefinite হয়।
- সাধারণত No sooner had থাকলে পরের অংশে than (then নয়) ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- Hardly had থাকলে পরের অংশে when ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- Scarcely had থাকলে পরের অংশে when (than নয়) ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- As soon as থাকলে পরের অংশে শুধু কমা বসে, অন্য কোনো শব্দ ব্যবহৃত হয় না।
