￫ With, together with, as well as, along with, in addition to, accompanied by দ্বারা কোন noun বা pronoun যুক্ত হলে তৎপরবর্তী verb প্রথম subject অনুযায়ী হয়।
- প্রদত্ত প্রশ্নের দুটি subject ‘The Principal’ এবং ‘his students’ along with দ্বারা যুক্ত হয়েছে।
- তাই verb টি প্রথম subject অনুযায়ী হবে অর্থাৎ singular হবে।

Complete Sentence: The Principal along with his students has been planting trees for two hours.

• বাক্যটাকে Direct Narration এ চিন্তা করলে এ রকম হয় He said, “I came yesterday”.
- Direct Speech এর Simple Past Tense, Indirect Speech এ Past Perfect Tense এ পরিবর্তিত হয়।
- Direct Narration - এ yesterday থাকলে Indirect Narration - এ the previous day হয়।
- প্রদত্ত বাক্যটি Direct Narration-এ Past Indefinite Tense-এ ছিলো, তাই Indirect Narration-এ Past Perfect Tense হবে।

• তাই শূন্যস্থানে had come বসবে।
- Complete sentence: He said that he had come the previous day.

• Correct sentence: I have a little money left to buy some clothes.

- "Money" is an uncountable noun, so we use "a little" (not "many" or "a few").
- "a little" means some, and it's the right choice when referring to uncountable things like money, water, time, etc.
 
• Uncountable noun এর সাথে little, a little, much, less...than ইত্যাদি বসে।
- Money হলো Uncountable noun.
তাই এর পূর্বে determiner হিসাবে a little বসবে।

• Little, a little এবং the little এর মাঝে পার্থক্য :
• Little- নেই বললেই চলে = Negative
- There is little water in the glass. (পানি নেই বললেই চলে)

• A little- আছে কিন্তু খুবই অল্প = Positive
- There is a little sugar in the kitchen. (চিনি আছে কিন্তু অল্প)

 • Few/A Few/ The Few (এরা সবসময় Plural Countable Noun এর সাথে বসে)

- The bridge constructed recently for the railroad has been found faulty.
(Constructed এটা Non-finite Verb এবং Passive, এ হিসেবে Verb এর Past Participle ব্যবহার শুদ্ধ। আর has been found এটা Finite Verb – Present Perfect + Passive Voice হিসেবে গঠন ‍শুদ্ধ হয়েছে।)

- Bangla meaning: তিনি সংস্থার অভ্যন্তরের দুর্নীতির নিন্দা করে একটি কঠোর ভাষার বক্তৃতা দেন।

• উল্লিখিত অপশনগুলো,
- Vague - অস্পষ্ট ভাসাভাসা; (not clear in a person’s mind.)
- Scathing - কঠোর, তীব্র, জ্বালাকর; (severely critical and disrespectful.)
- Polite - শিষ্টাচারী, শিষ্টাচারসম্পন্ন; (having or showing good manners.)
- Uncertain - অস্থির, অনিশ্চিত। (​likely to change frequently.)

• সুতরাং, শব্দগুলোর অর্থানুযায়ী বুঝা যাচ্ছে, শূন্যস্থানে সঠিক শব্দ হবে- Scathing.

খ) explanation (ব্যাখ্যা; কৈফিয়ত), demand (চাহিদা; দাবি; যাচ্ঞা).

গ) amalgamation (একত্রীকরণ; সংযুক্তিকরণ), harassment (হয়রানি; উৎপীড়ন).

ঘ) undertaking (প্রতিশ্রুতি; প্রত্যাভূতি; অঙ্গীকার), retrenchment (ছাঁটাই; ব্যয়সংকোচন).

• সুতরাং, শব্দগুলোর অর্থানুযায়ী বুঝা যাচ্ছে, শূন্যস্থানে সঠিক শব্দ হবে- ঘ) undertaking, retrenchment.
- এখানে শ্রমিক ছাঁটাই না করার কথা বলা হয়েছে তাই প্রথম শূন্যস্থানে "undertaking" এবং শ্রমিক ছাঁটাই করা অর্থে দ্বিতীয় শূন্যস্থানে "retrenchment" শব্দটি বসালে বাক্যটির অর্থ পরিপূর্ণ হবে।

• Conditional sentence এ Had + Sub + V3 + Ext. এভাবে কোন Sentence শুরু হলে সেটিও Perfect conditional/ 3rd conditional হয়।
• If clause এ যদি (had + V3) হয়, তবে পরবর্তী clause এ would/could/might + have + V3 + extension ব্যবহৃত হয়।
• Had he known anything, he would have told me.

• Dilly-dally (verb)
- English Meaning: To waste time by loitering or delaying.
- Bangla Meaning: সময় অপচয় করা।

Other Options:
- Dead set - দৃঢ় সংকল্প।

- Die in harness - কাজ করতে করতে মারা যাওয়া

- Cut out - হঠাৎ কার্যক্রম বন্ধ করা

 Complete sentence: Don't dilly-dally - just get your bags and let's go!

• Subject-Verb Agreement অনুযায়ী,
- A number of/ A large number of/ A small number of/ a great number of যুক্ত বাক্যের গঠন হচ্ছে-
- A number of (some, several, many) + plural Noun + plural verb.

- প্রশ্ন প্রদত্ত বাক্যে A great number of এরপরে plural noun (students) আছে, তাই plural verb হিসেবে ‘volunteer’ বসবে।

• More examples:
- A large number of people are affected by the storm.
- A number of books have been borrowed from the library.

অন্যদিকে,
ক) "is volunteering": singular verb ("is") ব্যবহার হয়েছে, তাই এটি ভুল।

খ) "volunteers": Singular verb ("volunteers") কিন্তু এই বাক্যে plural subject আছে, তাই verb ও plural ("volunteer") হবে।

ঘ) "has volunteered": Singular present perfect verb ("has") incorrectly pairs with the plural subject.

• শুন্যস্থানে এমন একটি শব্দ বসবে যা দ্বারা পাণ্ডিত্যপূর্ণ ব্যক্তি বুঝায়।  

অপশনসমূহ, 
erudite - পাণ্ডিত্যপূর্ণ; 
dedicated - (কোনো মহৎ উদ্দেশ্য বা লক্ষ্যে) নিয়োজিত; 
pragmatic - প্রয়োগবাদী; 
benevolent - দয়ালু; সদাশয়।

অপশনসমূহ বিবেচনা করে দেখা যায়, শূন্যস্থানে 'erudite' বসালে বাক্যটি যথার্থ হবে।

• Look forward to:
- English Meaning: await eagerly.
- Bangla Meaning: সানন্দে প্রতীক্ষা করা।

• Use of Look forward to:
- Look forward এরপর to + verb + ing বসে।

• Example Sentence:
1. I look forward to meeting you in person.
2. She looks forward to starting her new job next week.
3. We look forward to celebrating your birthday with you.

• এছাড়াও mind, cannot help, could not help, with a view to, look forward to ইত্যাদি শব্দের পর কোনো verb বসলে সেই verb এর সাথে ing যুক্ত করতে হয়।

Bengali Meaning: সত্ত্বেও
বাক্যের অর্থ: প্রমাণ থাকা সত্ত্বেও জুরিরা একমত পোষণ করেছেন যে তাঁরা কোন রায়ে উপনীত হবেন না।

Neither - used to show that a negative statement is also true about another person or thing → either
neither does/can/will etc somebody
Example:
- ‘I don’t have any money.’ ‘Neither do I.’
- Tom didn’t believe a word she said, and neither did the police.
- ‘I don’t like horror movies.’ ‘Me neither.’

So - used to add that what has just been said is also true about someone or something else
so do I/so is he/so would Peter etc
Example:
- Joe was a little upset, and so was I.
- He’s been ill, and so has his wife.
- As the demand rises, so do prices.

Catch somebody unawares/ catch somebody off-guard/ catch somebody on the hop (idiom): 
English Meaning - To do something when someone is not ready for it and is not able to deal with it. 
Bangla Meaning - কোনো কিছু করা বা ঘটে যাওয়া যা অপ্রত্যাশিত এবং সামাল দেওয়া কঠিন।

Complete Sentence - His unexpected resignation caught everyone off-guard in the office.
Bangla Meaning - তার অপ্রত্যাশিত পদত্যাগ অফিসের সবার জন্য অপ্রত্যাশিত ছিল।

Correct Answer: গ) Let her and me go there. 

• ইংরেজিতে কোনো বাক্যে একাধিক Pronoun বসলে তা সাধারণত '231' বা '23' বা '21' অথবা '31' নিয়মে বসে।
- অর্থাৎ প্রথমে second person, তারপর third person এবং শেষে first person.

• Bag and baggage:
English Meaning: with all one's belongings.
Bangla Meaning: তল্পি তল্পা সহ / সবকিছু সহ।
- এর পূর্বে যেকোনো ধরনের preposition এর ব্যবহার ভুল।

• Correct Answer: খ) Neither of the boys is guilty.

- এখানে "neither" শব্দটি দুইজনের মধ্যে কেউই না বোঝালেও এটি একবচন (singular) হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- একবচন subject হওয়ায় এর সাথে "is" (একবচন ক্রিয়া) ব্যবহার করতে হয়, "are" (বহুবচন) ব্যবহার করা যায় না।
- "of the boys" অংশটি একটি prepositional phrase, যা subject নয় - তাই এটি verb-এর form পরিবর্তন করে না।
- এই কারণে কেবল "Neither of the boys is guilty" বাক্যটি subject-verb agreement অনুযায়ী সঠিক।

Capricious:
English Meaning: Likely to change, or reacting to a sudden desire or new idea.
Bangla Meaning: খেয়ালি; চপল; লোলচিত্ত; অস্থিরমতি।

Traffic uncountable noun হওয়ায় এর পূর্বে many ব্যবহৃত হবে না। 
বাক্যটি অতীতের কোনো ঘটে যাওয়া কাজ বুঝানোয় is ব্যবহৃত হবে না। 
এবং কোনো কিছুর তীব্রতা বুঝাতে much এর পূর্বে so ব্যবহার করতে হয়।
সুতরাং, সঠিক বাক্য - I was late because there was so much traffic.

• No sooner had, Hardly had, Scarcely had এবং As soon as সবগুলোই 'করতে না করতেই/ হতে না হতেই' অর্থে ব্যবহার করা হয়।

• নিয়ম অনুসারে, 
- No sooner had থাকলে পরের অংশে than (not then) ব্যবহার করা হয়।
Hardly had থাকলে পরের অংশে when (not than) ব্যবহার করা হয়;
Scarcely had থাকলে পরের অংশে when (not than) ব্যবহার করা হয়;
As soon as থাকলে পরের অংশে শুধু কমা (,) ব্যবহার করা হয়।

ঘ) because:
English meaning: for the reason that.
Bangla meaning: সে-কারণে; কেননা; যেহেতু।

দুই এর মধ্যে তুলনা বুঝাতে সাধারনত than ব্যবহার করা হলেও, more দিয়ে comparative sentence গঠন করা সম্ভব।
তাই সঠিক উত্তর more হবে।

• Complete Sentence: A steady bread and butter is necessary to support a family.

- “Bread and butter” একটি idiomatic expression, যার অর্থ হলো, the way someone earns the money needed to live. জীবিকা বা আয়ের প্রধান উৎস।
- যদিও “bread” এবং “butter” দুটি শব্দ, তবে একসাথে এটি একটি singular অর্থ বহন করে।
- এজন্য এর সাথে “is” ব্যবহার হয়, কারণ এটি একটি বিষয় বোঝায় — অর্থাৎ জীবিকা।
- বাক্যটি ব্যাকরণগতভাবে এবং অর্থের দিক থেকে সঠিকভাবে গঠিত হয়েছে "is" ব্যবহারে।

Other options:
ক) are –  singular অর্থে ব্যবহার হওয়ায় "are" ব্যবহার করলে ভুল হবে।

Negative sentence এ ‘need’ modal auxiliary হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হলে need এর পরে not বসে এবং এর পরে to বসাতে হয়না।
এক্ষেত্রে needএর সাথে কখনো s/es যুক্ত হয় না।

- বাক্যের মাঝে wh-word বসে যে প্রশ্ন তৈরি করে তাই embedded question.
- An embedded question is a question that is included inside another question or statement.
- Embedded question, English Grammar এর এমন একটি নিয়ম যেখানে একটি assertive বাক্যের মধ্যে একটি interrogative বা প্রশ্নবোধক বাক্য সন্নিবেশিত করা হয়।
- এরা প্রশ্নের মত কিন্তু প্রশ্ন নয়।
- Wh words সমূহ Sentence এর মাঝে বসলে প্রশ্ন করার যোগ্যতা হারায়।
- এমন বাক্যের প্রথম অংশে যেকোন বাক্য এমনকি প্রশ্নবোধক বাক্য ও বসতে পারে।

ঘ) I don't know where did the library is.
- এটি ভুল কারণ, এখানে একই সাথে did এবং is ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে।

• Correct sentence: No sooner had they reached the station than the train arrived.

• No sooner had.....than — এটি একটি Correlative Conjunction, যা “করতে না করতেই/হতে না হতেই” অর্থ প্রকাশ করে।

Structure: No sooner had + subject + past participle (V3) + than + subject + past form (V2).

Rule Summary:
- বাক্যে No sooner had থাকলে → follow with than (not then),
- বাক্যে Hardly had থাকলে → follow with when,
- বাক্যে Scarcely had থাকলে → follow with when.

- No sooner had they reached the station than the train arrived.
→ এটি সঠিক বাক্য, কারণ এটি নিয়ম অনুযায়ী গঠিত।

Other Options:
ক) No sooner had they reached the station then the train arrived.
→ “then” ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে ভুলভাবে, এখানে than হতে হবে।

খ) No sooner had they reached the station than the train arrive.
→ “arrive” এর স্থলে arrived (past form) হবে।

গ) No sooner had they reached the station than the train had arrived.
→ এখানে অতিরিক্ত had ব্যবহার ভুল; দ্বিতীয় clause-এ simple past যথেষ্ট।

Correct sentence: খ) All of it makes sense.

• All of it - Singular sense প্রকাশ করে।
- Subject 3rd person singular number হলে Present Indefinite Tense এর ক্ষেত্রে verb এর সাথে s/es হয়।
- এই নিয়মানুযায়ী All of It এরপর verb make এর সাথে -s যুক্ত হয়েছে।

The subject "All of it" is singular, so it takes the singular verb "makes".

অন্য অপশনগুলো কেন ভুল:
ক) All of it make sense.
→ এখানে make (plural verb) ব্যবহার হয়েছে, যা singular subject-এর সঙ্গে মিলছে না। তাই এটি ভুল। 

গ) All of it are making sense.
→ এখানে 'are' plural subject-এর জন্য, কিন্তু “All of it” singular, তাই এটি ভুল। 

ঘ) All of it have made sense
→ have plural verb, singular এর সাথে has বসে, 'have' হলো plural.

A number of (idiom):
English Meaning -  More than two but fewer than many: several. 

•  A number of এর পর verb plural হয়। 
- Ex: A number of people are waiting for the bus.

আবার, The number of এর পর verb singular হয়। 
- Ex: The number of people here has increased since this morning.

Correct Sentence - There are a number of different options to choose from.

সঠিক উত্তর: খ) such a complex task.

এটি "such...that" structure এর ব্যবহার।
- এই বাক্যে result/consequence (ফলাফল) দেখানো হচ্ছে।

Structure: It was such + (a/an) + adjective + noun + that + result

Complete sentence: It was such a complex task that the students asked for help.
Bangla: এটি এমন জটিল একটি কাজ ছিল যে শিক্ষার্থীরা সাহায্য চাইল।

Other options,

ক) so complex a task:
- Structure: So + adjective/adverb + that.
- অপশনে "so complex a task" – এটি একটি পুরনো-ধাঁচের (archaic) কাঠামো, যেখানে adjective-এর পরে "a/an" article রাখা হয়। কিন্তু আধুনিক ইংরেজিতে এটি খুব কম ব্যবহৃত।

গ) very complex a task:
- এটি ব্যাকরণগতভাবে ভুল। "Very" এর পরে এভাবে article বসে না।

ঘ)  a complicated task:
- এটি অসম্পূর্ণ এবং ভুল। এতে কোনো result clause-এর কাঠামো নেই (যেমন "such/so ... that")। বাক্যটি অসম্পূর্ণ হয়ে যাবে।
