উল্লিখিত অপশন গুলোর অর্থ - 

ক) eloquent:
English meaning: giving a clear, strong message.
Bangla meaning: বাকপটু, বাগ্মী/ প্রাঞ্জল বক্তৃতাশীল/ প্রাঞ্জল, সাবলীল।

খ) emulate:
English meaning: to copy something achieved by someone else and try to do it as well as they have.
Bangla meaning: সমকক্ষ হতে অথবা ছাড়িয়ে যেতে চেষ্টা করা।

গ) egregious:
English meaning: extremely bad in a way that is very noticeable.
Bangla meaning: (আনুষ্ঠানিক) কুখ্যাত; অসাধারণ (খারাপ ব্যক্তি অথবা খারাপ কিছু)।

ঘ) elusive:
English meaning: difficult to describe, find, achieve, or remember.
Bangla meaning: পলায়নপর; বিস্মৃতিপ্রবণ।

অপশন গুলোর অর্থ বিবেচনা করে দেখা যায়, শূন্যস্থানে eloquent বসালে বাক্যটি পরিপূর্ণ হয়।

Rather - to a slight degree
অমিয়া তার যেকোনো ক্লাসমেটের তুলনায় পরীক্ষার কিছুটা ভালো করেছিলো। বুঝাতে তাই শূন্যস্থানে rather এবং than ব্যবহৃত হবে।

Scientific truth বা general truth এর ক্ষেত্রে zero conditional এর rule প্রযোজ্য হবে।
তাই পরের অংশে present indefinite tense হবে।
 
• Zero Conditional = If + Present + Present (shows scientific and general truth)
• 1st Conditional = If + Present + Future
• 2nd Conditional = If + Past Simple + Future in Past (S + would/might/could + Base Form of the Verb)
• 3rd Conditional = If + Past Perfect (had +V₃) + Perfect Modal (S + would have/could have/might have + V₃)

The correct sentence: The jury were divided in their conclusion.

- The Jury (বিচারকমণ্ডলী) [collective noun]
- Collective Noun এর ক্ষেত্রে সাধারণত verb এবং pronoun দুটোই singular হয়।
- যেমন: The jury is unanimous in its opinion.

তবে Collective Noun -এর সদস্যদের মধ্যে বিভাজন সৃষ্টি হলে তখন তাদেরকে এককভাবে না বুঝিয়ে আলাদা ভাবে বোঝায় এবং এটিকে তখন Noun of Multitude বলা হয়।
- Noun of Multitude -এর পর verb এবং pronoun দুটোই plural হয়।
- তাই, Plural হিসেবে possessive - their বসে।

• The correct sentence is - If I had studied harder, I would have passed the exam.
- এটি Third Conditional Sentence এর নিয়ম অনুসারে sentence টি সঠিক।

• Third Condition এর নিয়ম অনুসারে:
- If বা Had যুক্ত দুটি clause থাকে। 
- দুটি clause এর যেকোন একটিতে If/ had দিয়ে clause টি শুরু হবে।
- If বা Had যুক্ত clause টি Past Perfect Tense হয়। 
- ২য় clause টি Past perfect Conditional (would have, might have, should have, could have) বসে।
- Verb এর Past Participle form বসে।

• উল্লিখিত বাকি অপশনগুলো,
• If I studied harder, I would passed the exam.
- ভুল। কারণ, would এরপর pass ব্যবহার করলে তা second conditional এর নিয়ম অনুসারে সঠিক হতো।

• If I study harder, I would have passed the exam.
- ভুল। কারণ, I এরপর had ব্যবহার করলে তা third conditional এর নিয়ম অনুসারে সঠিক হতো।

• If I had studied harder, I will pass the exam.
- ভুল। grammatically sentence টি ভুল।

সঠিক উত্তর: খ) were being followed.

Complete sentence: There was somebody walking behind us. I thought we were being followed.
বাক্যের অর্থ: আমাদের পিছনে কেউ হাঁটছিল। আমি ভেবেছিলাম আমাদের অনুসরণ করা হচ্ছে।

• প্রশ্নোল্লিখিত বাক্যে কর্তার উল্লেখ না থাকায় বাক্যটি Passive হবে এবং যেহেতু বাক্যটি অতীতে কোনো চলমান ঘটনার বর্ণনা দিচ্ছে তাই এটির Passive form Continuous হবে।

এটি Past Continuous Passive Voice এর Structure অনুসরণ করে: were + being + V₃ (followed)
- Context অনুযায়ী এটা Passive Form + Continuous Tense.

অন্য অপশনগুলো:

ক) were following - active form; অর্থ হয় আমরা কাউকে follow করছিলাম — যা বাক্যের অর্থের বিপরীত।

গ) were followed - Simple Past Passive (চলমান action বোঝায় না), অর্থ হয় আমাদের follow করা হয়েছিল (একবারের ঘটনা) — কিন্তু এখানে চলমান অবস্থা (walking behind) বোঝানো হচ্ছে।

ঘ) have been followed - present perfect passive; এটি present-এর সাথে সম্পর্কিত, কিন্তু বাক্যটি (I thought) past tense-এ আছে, তাই tense মিলছে না।

Complete sentence: Neither Ruma nor her friend was present at the party yesterday.
- Neither verb.....nor দ্বারা দুইটা Noun/Pronoun যুক্ত হলে শেষের noun/pronoun অনুযায়ী verb বসে। 
- এখানে 'her friend' হলো nearest subject (singular), তাই verb হবে was.

• [Either/neither] + noun + [or/nor] + singular noun + singular verb.
- Neither John nor Sarah was at the meeting.

• [Either/neither] + noun + [or/nor] + plural noun + plural verb.
- Neither he nor his parents are going to the party.

​- English Meaning: liked or admired by many people or by a particular person or group.
- Bangla Meaning: কারও নিকট/কাছে জনপ্রিয়।

সঠিক বাক্য- অপশন (খ)।
অপশন (ক) এর সঠিক বাক্যটি হবে- I am not bad at tennis.
অপশন (গ) এর সঠিক বাক্যটি হবে- He parted from his friends in tears.
অপশন (ঘ) এর সঠিক বাক্যটি হবে- The rich are not always happy.

• একই দৈর্ঘ্য, পরিমাণ, বা স্থান বুঝালে Subject plural হলেও verb টি singular হবে।
- Ten thousand dollars / Fifty miles/ Fifty minutes ইত্যাদি যদি একক time, money, distance কে বুঝায় তাহলে সেটি সবসময় singular হয়।

Examples:
- Twenty-five dollars is too much to pay for that shirt.
- Two miles is too much to run in one day.

• Correct sentence: Two hundred miles is a long way to walk in a day.

Correct answer: woke.
Complete sentence: He woke up as soon as the alarm rang.

• As soon as এর পূর্বে past indefinite tense থাকলে এরপরেও past indefinite tense হয়।
- As soon as যুক্ত sentence এ শুধু comma বসে, than/when ইত্যাদি বসে না।
- যেমন: He woke up as soon as the alarm rang.

• অন্যদিকে,
- As soon as এর পূর্বে Future Indefinite Tense থাকলে এরপরেও Present Indefinite Tense হয়।
- Future Indefinite Tense + As soon as + Present Indefinite Tense.
- যেমন: I will let you know as soon as I receive the email.

বাক্যে all day today অর্থাৎ, সময়ের উল্লেখ থাকায় বোঝা যাচ্ছে এটি Perfect continuous tense হবে।
তাই সঠিক বাক্যঃ It has been raining all day today.

- প্রশ্নটি Embedded question এর ভিত্তিতে করা হয়েছে।

• Embedded/Indirect question এর নিয়মানুযায়ী:
- বাক্যের মাঝে wh-word বসে যে প্রশ্ন তৈরি করে তাই embedded question.
- Embedded question, English Grammar এর এমন একটি নিয়ম যেখানে assertive এর গঠন অনুযায়ী wh-word দ্বারা একটি interrogative বা প্রশ্নবোধক বাক্য (indirect question) সন্নিবেশিত করা হয়।
- অর্থাৎ, wh-word দ্বারা subordinate clause শুরু হয় এবং subordinate clause টি কখনোই Interrogative হয় না, সর্বদাই assertive হয়ে থাকে।

• Structure:
- Main question: "Do you know...?"
- Subordinate clause (Embedded question): where Rashed lives.

- যেহেতু প্রশ্নে উল্লিখিত বাক্যের প্রথম অংশে প্রশ্ন বোধক বাক্য বসেছে, এবং subordinate clause টি wh word দ্বারা শুরু হয়েছে তাই এরপরে subject + verb +ext. এই গঠনটি বসবে।
- সুতরাং, সঠিক বাক্যটি হবে- ঘ) Do you know where Rashed lives?

Correct Answer: ঘ) nip the issue in the bud.

Complete sentence: The manager decided to nip the issue in the bud  before it turned into a bigger problem.
Bangla Meaning: ম্যানেজার সিদ্ধান্ত নিলেন সমস্যাটি গোড়াতেই দমন করে দিতে, যাতে এটি বড় আকার ধারণ না করে।

• Nip in the bud (phrase)
English Meaning: to stop something before it has an opportunity to become established.
Bangla Meaning: অংকুরে বিনষ্ট করা। 

অন্যদিকে,
ক) push something aside - অর্থ: সমস্যাকে এড়িয়ে যাওয়া। কিন্তু এখানে বলা হয়েছে সমস্যাকে বড় হওয়ার আগে সমাধান করতে হবে।
খ) let something  grow - অর্থ: সমস্যাকে বাড়তে দেওয়া। এটি বাক্যের সাথে মানানসই নয়।
গ) storm in a teacup - অর্থ: তুচ্ছ বিষয়কে বড় করে দেখা। এখানে উপযুক্ত নয়।

Example Sentences:
1. The manager decided to nip the conflict in the bud before it affected the whole team.
বাংলা: ম্যানেজার সিদ্ধান্ত নিলেন বিরোধটা গোড়াতেই থামিয়ে দিতে, যাতে পুরো টিমে প্রভাব না পড়ে।
2. It’s wise to nip bad habits in the bud before they become difficult to control. 
বাংলা: খারাপ অভ্যাসগুলোকে শুরুতেই দমন করা বুদ্ধিমানের কাজ, যাতে পরে নিয়ন্ত্রণ করা কঠিন না হয়।
3. Teachers should nip bullying in the bud to create a safe environment for students.
বাংলা: শিক্ষকদের উচিত বুলিংকে গোড়াতেই দমন করা, যাতে শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য নিরাপদ পরিবেশ তৈরি হয়।

অর্থঃ আমি তোমার ব্যর্থতায় উদ্বিগ্ন।

• With, together with, along with, as well as, in addition to, accompanied with/by, and not, including, excluding, but, except ইত্যাদি দ্বারা কোনো noun বা pronoun যুক্ত হলে, verb টি সর্বদা প্রথম subject (noun/ pronoun) অনুযায়ী হবে।

- অর্থাৎ, প্রথম noun/ pronoun টি singular হলে verb টি singular হবে।
- আবার প্রথম noun/ pronoun টি plural হলে verb টি plural হবে।

• যেমন: The captain, including his crew, is ready for the voyage.
- এখানে, প্রথম subject - The captain হচ্ছে singular, তাই verb টি singular হিসেবে এখানে is হবে।

Deprive somebody/something of something - to prevent somebody from having or doing something, especially something important; কাউকে কোনকিছু হতে বঞ্চিত করা।
যেমনঃ
- He has been deprived of his paternal property.
- They were imprisoned and deprived of their basic rights.

• উল্লিখিত অপশনগুলোর মধ্যে ভুল অংশটুকু হচ্ছে - he and you.
- সাধারণত preposition এরপর  objective pronoun বসে।
- - তাছাড়া বাক্যে একাধিক pronoun থাকলে তা সাধারণত '231' বা '23' বা '21' অথবা '31' নিয়মে বসে।
- অর্থাৎ প্রথমে second person, তারপর third person এবং শেষে first person.
- - he-এর objective form 'him'.

- সে অনুযায়ী he এর পরিবর্তে him এবং he and you এর বসলে you and him বসলে বাক্যটি সঠিক হবে।
বসলে বাক্যটি সঠিক হবে। 

Correct Sentence: They recognize the disparity between you and him, respecting the individuality and autonomy of each person.

 এখানে সঠিক উত্তর হল to, credence to অর্থ বিশ্বাস।
- I do not give much credence to his report.
- to বসিয়ে বাক্যটির অর্থ হয় আমি তার প্রতিবেদনের উপর খুব একটা বিশ্বাস করি না।

-  নিষ্ঠুরবাক্য 

খ) perfidious:
- (আনুষ্ঠানিক) বিশ্বাসঘাতক; দুরাচারী।

(singular determiner) + kind of/sort of + singular noun বসে।
অর্থাৎ, সঠিক বাক্য - I have never heard that kind of excuse.

খ) trenchant:
-  প্রবল; তীক্ষ্ণ ও মর্মভেদী। 

গ) pedestrian:
- পথচারী পারাপার

ঘ) colloquial:
- কথোপকথনে ব্যবহৃত; কথ্য। 

- সুতরাং, শব্দগুলোর অর্থানুযায়ী বুঝা যাচ্ছে যে, বাক্যটির অর্থ পরিপূর্ণ করতে হলে শূন্যস্থানে সঠিক শব্দ হবে- trenchant.

Complete sentence: The novelist was praised for her ability to weave trenchant social criticism into an otherwise lighthearted narrative.

সঠিক বাক্যটি হচ্ছে - He has told me that he will go but I will stay here in Dhaka.
মূলত এখানে ভিন্ন ভিন্ন অর্থে সবগুলো বাক্যই শুদ্ধ।

প্রদত্ত বাক্যটি indirect speech এ রয়েছে।
Narration এর নিয়মানুযায়ী, Indirect speech এর Reporting verb - Present বা Future Tense এর হলে Reported Speech এর Verb- যে কোনো Tense এর হতে পারে। আবার নিকটবর্তী বা দূরবর্তী (here, therer, now, then etc.) যে কোনো নির্দেশনা সূচক শব্দ বসাতেও সমস্যা নেই।

অর্থ অনুযায়ী সবচেয়ে সুন্দর এবং মানানসই বাক্য হবে - (“He has said to me, “I will go but you will stay here in Dhaka” Probable Direct Speech ধরে নিয়ে)
খ) He has told me that he will go but I will stay here in Dhaka.
অর্থ: সে আমাকে বলেছিল যে, সে চলে যাবে কিন্তু আমি এখানে ঢাকায়ই থাকব।

Correct sentence: She saves money so that she can buy a new condo.
- Bangla Meaning: সে নতুন বিল্ডিং কেনার জন্য টাকা সঞ্চয় করছে।

• So that যুক্ত complex sentence গুলোতে সাধারণত can, could, may, might ইত্যাদি বসে। 
- প্রথম clause এ present থাকলে so that এর পরে may/can ইত্যাদি বসে,
- past tense - এ থাকলে, তাই so that এর পরে past form might/could বসে। 

• প্রশ্নে উল্লিখিত বাক্যের ১ম clause টি present tense এ আছে, তাই পরের clause এ can হয়েছে।

• Correct sentence: ঘ) Knowing little vocabulary, I found it difficult to answer the question.
- প্রশ্নটি dangling modifier -এর উপর ভিত্তি করে করা হয়েছে।

• Dangling modifier:
- যখন কোনো modifier সঠিক subject কে modify না করে অন্য কিছুকে modify করে তখন তাকে dangling modifier/illogical/misplaced modifier বলে।
- প্রশ্নে dangling modifier এর ক্ষেত্রে সাধারণত simple sentence এর দুইটি অংশ থাকে যা কমা (,) দ্বারা আলাদা করা থাকে।
- প্রথম অংশটি gerund/infinitive/participle/adjective phrase/having been +v3/preposition+verb+ing, ইত্যাদি দ্বারা শুরু হয়ে থাকে কিন্তু প্রথম অংশে subject থাকে না।
- প্রথম অংশের এই অনুল্লিখিত subject টিকেই দ্বিতীয় অংশের subject হিসেবে সঠিকভাবে use করতে হবে।

- উল্লিখিত বাক্যে "Knowing little vocabulary" phrase টি দ্বারা এমন একজন person কে বুঝাচ্ছে যার vocabulary knowledge -এ ঘাটতি আছে।
- অপশন ঘ) তে subject "I" modifier -এর সাথে correctly match করে (I know little vocabulary).
- অর্থাৎ,এই বাক্যে modifier -এর সঠিক ব্যবহার হয়েছে (Knowing little vocabulary, I found it difficult to answer the question.)

অন্যদিকে,
ক) "Knowing little vocabulary, the question was difficult to answer."
- এখানে modifier "Knowing little vocabulary" টি illogically "the question" কে ভুলভাবে modify করছে।

খ) "Knowing little vocabulary, answering the question was difficult."
- এখানে modifier "Knowing little vocabulary" টি illogically "answering" কে ভুলভাবে modify করছে।

গ) "Knowing little vocabulary, it was difficult to answer the question."
-এখানে "Knowing little vocabulary" modifier টি illogically (dummy subject) "it" কে ভুলভাবে modify করছে কারণ "it" কোনো vocabulary জানতে পারে না।

• Complete sentence: Alex and I have to complete our tasks prior to the meeting.

- যদি sentence এর মধ্যে first person এর সাথে অন্য যে কোন person যেমন second person এবং third person দ্বারা যুক্ত থাকে তাহলে তাদের পরিবর্তে First person এর Plural pronoun ব্যবহার করা হবে। 
Example: Alex and I have to complete our tasks prior to the meeting.

Other Options:
খ) their - ভুল, কারণ their third person plural বা singular subject এর জন্য।

গ) its - its singular non-human subject এর জন্য।
 
ঘ) them - ভুল, কারণ them pronoun, possessive নয়; এখানে noun modifier দরকার।

• Singular Subject এর পূর্বে যদি each, every, no বসে, তবে verb সাধারণত singular হয়ে থাকে।

Correct sentence: Each student is present today.

- Each is a singular determiner and takes a singular verb.
- Therefore, the correct verb form is is, not have or were.
