- আর Hang এর ফাঁসি দেয়া অর্থে এর past form ও past participle form হয় Hanged.

আবার, expert in, expert on - এর ব্যবহারও বহুল প্রচলিত। তাই এই ব্যাপারগুলো ভালোভাবে বুঝে পড়ে নেওয়াটা ভালো হবে।

• প্রশ্নটি ত্রুটিপূর্ণ। এখানে and এর পরিবর্তে nor হবে।

• Either --- or, Neither --- nor দ্বারা Singular Subject যুক্ত হলে Verb Singular হয়।
- Example: Either he or his brother is guilty.

• Either --- or, Neither --- nor দ্বারা ভিন্ন Number এর Subject যুক্ত হলে Plural Subject টি Verb এর পূর্বে বসে এবং Verb টি Plural হয়। 
- Example: Neither the chairman nor the member are present.

• Either --- or, Neither --- nor দ্বারা যুক্ত Subject যদি ভিন্ন Person এর হয় তবে Verb টি শেষ Subject অনুযায়ী নিবে।
- Example: Neither he nor his friends are present in the class.

• Subject ভিন্ন Person এর হওয়ার কারণে Verb টি শেষ Subject (Kalam) অনুযায়ী প্রদত্ত Sentence টিতে singular verb হিসেবে is বসেবে।

- Structure: A number of + plural Noun + plural verb. Example:
- A number of Banks use computer.
- A number of boys are present today's class.

- অর্থাৎ, It's no good এরপর আরেকটি verb আসলে verb টি (verb + ing) রূপে বসে।

অপশন ‍a সঠিক উত্তর। in spite of এটি একটি preposition. এর পর noun বা pronoun এর objective form বসে। কিন্তু উপরের বাক্যে in spite of এর পর clause ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে।
সুতরাং এখানে in spite of এর পরিবর্তে though/although ব্যবহার করতে হবে।

- "Many a/an" এর পর singular countable noun এবং singular verb ব্যবহার করা হয়। এখানে Plural noun ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে যা সঠিক নয়।

সঠিক উত্তর হলো: গ) have been studying.

Complete sentence: They are thought to have been studying for three hours under the mango tree.

অর্থ: "তারা আম গাছের নিচে তিন ঘণ্টা ধরে পড়াশোনা করছিল বলে মনে করা হয়।"

• "for three hours" দেখে বোঝা যাচ্ছে যে কাজটি একটি নির্দিষ্ট সময় ধরে চলছিল।
- যখন আমরা বলতে চাই যে কোনো কাজ অতীতে শুরু হয়ে একটি সময় ধরে চলছিল, তখন perfect progressive infinitive ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- তাই এখানে "to have been studying" ব্যবহার করতে হবে।

Other options,
ক) study → শুধু “to study”। এটা দিয়ে বোঝায় তারা এখন স্টাডি করে। কিন্তু “for three hours” এর সাথে মিলছে না।

খ) have studied → “to have studied”। এটা দিয়ে বোঝায় তারা ৩ ঘণ্টা পড়া শেষ করেছে। কিন্তু “for three hours” দিয়ে duration বোঝানো হচ্ছে, শেষ হওয়া নয়।

ঘ) studying - এটি grammatically ভুল, কারণ "to" এর পরে gerund আসে না।

- Bangla meaning: চার বছর বয়স থেকেই সে সাঁতার কাটতে অভ্যস্ত।

• Modal auxiliary এর নিয়মানুযায়ী,
- শুধু Used to এর পর Verb এর base form বসে।
- যেমন: He used to go to our school.

• তবে be (am, is, are, was, were) + used to থাকলে এর পর Verb+ing ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- অর্থাৎ, এটি দ্বারা বুঝানো হয় যে অতীতে কোনো কাজের অভ্যস্ততা বর্তমানেও বিদ্যমান।
- Be used to/ get used to এর পরে noun অথবা Gerund বসে।
- Structure: subject + be/ get + used to + [verb + ing]/noun.
- যেমন: I'm used to living in Paris.

- সুতরাং, নিয়মানুযায়ী সঠিক উত্তর হবে - He was used to swimming since he was four.

• Transitive verb এরপর কোন Preposition বসে না।
- সরাসরি Object বসে।
- কিছু কিছু Transitive verb হলো: paint, answer, concern, reach, resemble, violate, discuss, resign, sign, investigate, recommend, order, command, enter ইত্যাদি।

• Order একটি transitive verb, তাই এর পরে direct object বসে।
- এখানে the team হলো verb এর object, তাই কোনো preposition দরকার হয় না।

সঠিক বাক্য- অপশন (গ)।
অপশন (ক) এর সঠিক বাক্যটি হবে- Matin is better than his brother.
অপশন (খ) এর সঠিক বাক্যটি হবে- Why have you done this?
অপশন (ঘ) এর সঠিক বাক্যটি হবে- Your conduct admits of no excuses.

• Correct sentence: Rubel avoids going to crowded places, talking to strangers, and eating junk food.
- প্রদত্ত sentence টি Parallelism এর শর্ত মেনে হয়েছে।

• Parallelism:
- Parallelism হলো যখন কোনো বাক্যে ধারাবাহিক কিছু তথ্য দেওয়া থাকে, তখন প্রত্যেক তথ্য গঠন করার জন্য একই গঠনরূপ ব্যবহার করতে হয়।

• Parallelism এর নিয়ম অনুসারে,
- And, or, but, be verb ইত্যাদির আগেও যা বসে পরেও তা বসে, অর্থাৎ, সমজাতীয় parts of speech বসে।
- আবার, Both...and, Not only.... but also, Either...or, Neithert...nor ইত্যাদি Correlatives এর উভয় পাশে সমজাতীয় Parts of speech বসে।
- অর্থাৎ, noun, pronoun, adjective, verb, adverb হলে সবগুলো noun, pronoun, adjective, verb, adverb হবে।
- আবার Infinitive, Gerund হলে সবগুলো Infinitive, Gerund হবে।

- কারণ, Advice হচ্ছে Uncountable Noun, তাই এর Plural হয় না। এটি Singular verb বা singular context নেয়।

• Advice (Noun):
- English Meaning: An opinion or a suggestion about what somebody should do in a particular situation
- Bangla Meaning: উপদেশ; পরামর্শ।

• Advice শব্দটি Uncountable Noun.
- এর পূর্বে article (a/ an) বসে না এবং তার Plural form হয় না।
- নির্দিষ্ট করে বুঝাতে The ব্যবহার করা হয়।
- তাই সঠিক শব্দ হিসেবে Advice শব্দটি ব্যবহার হবে।

• Note:
- এদেরকে plural করতে হলে, A piece of advice (Singular), কে Two pieces of advice (Plural) লিখে করতে হয়।

থেকে, হইতে ইত্যাদি বোঝাতে from ব্যবহৃত হয়।
যেমনঃ
- Where has this letter come from?
- Legend has it that the tribe came from across the Pacific Ocean.

• Correct Answer: ঘ) did the students understand.

• Negative inversion এর ক্ষেত্রে,
- Negative adverb + Clause + Auxiliary verb + Subject + Principal verb + Extension
- এখানে Only after হল negative adverb phrase → তাই did + subject + base verb হবে।

• Complete sentence: Only after the teacher had explained the lesson did the students understand.

This is the example of a Tag question.
Since the main clause is affirmative, the tag question will be negative.
And here, Zahara is third person singular number, So singular form will be applicable.

সঠিক উত্তর: খ) was being followed.

Complete sentence: I heard footsteps behind me. I felt I was being followed.

• প্রশ্নোল্লিখিত বাক্যে কর্তার উল্লেখ না থাকায় বাক্যটি Passive হবে এবং যেহেতু বাক্যটি অতীতে কোনো চলমান ঘটনার বর্ণনা দিচ্ছে তাই এটির Passive form Continuous হবে।

এটি Past Continuous Passive Voice এর Structure অনুসরণ করে: was + being + V3 (followed)
- Context অনুযায়ী এটা Passive Form + Continuous Tense.

Other options,
ক) was following
- অর্থ: আমি কাউকে অনুসরণ করছিলাম — বাক্যের অর্থের সাথে মিলছে না।

গ) followed
- শুধু past form, এখানে continuous idea নেই এবং passive structureও নেই।

ঘ) have been followed by somebody
- এখানে present perfect tense, কিন্তু বাক্যের প্রথম অংশ past tense (heard, felt) — তাই tense মিলছে না।

The poet and novelist দ্বারা একই ব্যক্তিকে বুঝাচ্ছে, কারণ novelist এর পূর্বে the নেই। এ থেকে বুঝা যায় poet এবং novelist একই ব্যক্তির দুই উপাধি। তাই এখানে verb-ও হবে singular। অন্যথায় are হবে।
যেমনঃ The poet and the novelist are dead.

• প্রদত্ত sentence টিতে "yesterday" শব্দটি Past Indefinite tense কে নির্দেশ করে।
- Past indefinite tense যুক্ত Interrogative sentence এর structure হচ্ছে: Did + subject + present form of the verb + অন্যান্য প্রয়োজনীয় word0/ words +?

- বাক্যটির পূর্বে Auxiliary verb হিসেবে did যুক্ত হবে এবং Main verb এর Base or Present form (go) হিসেবে বসবে + Yesterday বসবে।

• উল্লিখিত বাকি অপশনগুলো,
ক) Did he went yesterday?
- ভুল। কারণ 'did'-এর পরে base form (go) বসে, past form (went) নয়।

খ) Had he went yesterday?
- ভুল। কারণ, Past Perfect এ 'had + past participle (gone)' হয়।

ঘ) Has he go yesterday yesterday?
- ভুল। কারণ, Present Perfect এর সাথে 'yesterday' ব্যবহার করা যায় না।

অপশন বিবেচনা করে দেখা যায়, শূন্যস্থানে spurious বসালে বাক্যটি পরিপূর্ণ হয়।

• Linking verb (be verb, Appear, grow, look, feel, seem, smell, taste), ইত্যাদির পরে adjective বসে।
- nervous হচ্ছে  adjective, যা she কে describe করে (subject).

• verb (spoke) কে modify করার জন্য adverb দরকার।
- confidently হচ্ছে adverb, যা কীভাবে কথা বলেছিল তা বর্ণনা করে।

- অন্য option গুলোয় adverb এবং adjective সঠিক ক্রমে বসে নি।

এখানে, 
• nervously - (adverb)  চিন্তিত এবং উদ্বিগ্ন হওয়া দেখাতে।
• confident - (adjective) আত্মবিশ্বাসী
• confidently - (adverb) আত্মবিশ্বাসের সঙ্গে/ আস্থাসহ।

ক) One of the students have been absent today.
- এটি ভুল কারণ এখানে subject হলো “One”, যা singular।
- কিন্তু have been হলো plural verb.

গ) One of the students are absent today. 
- এটি ভুল কারণ “are” হলো plural verb, কিন্তু “one” singular.
- subject-verb agreement অনুযায়ী, singular subject এর সাথে singular verb ব্যবহার করতে হয়।

ঘ) One of the student is absent today. 
- এটি ভুল কারণ এখানে student singular, কিন্তু “one of the …” এর পরে plural noun বসতে হয়, কারণ এটি বোঝায় “অনেকের মধ্যে একজন।” 

Lest [লেস্‌ট্] (conjunction)
(১) যাতে না-ঘটে (এজন্য): I grabbed the iron rail lest I should fall down.
(২) এই আশঙ্কায়: We hurried lest we should miss the train.

প্রদত্ত বাক্যে 'charismatic personality and captivating speech' এই phrase দ্বারা বুঝাচ্ছে Speaker, audience এর উপর positive impression তৈরি করেছে। 
- কারণ, বাক্যে শেষে spellbound রয়েছে, যার অর্থ - মন্ত্রমুগ্ধ; সম্মোহিত।
- তাই সঠিক উত্তরটি হবে - endeared. 

Endear (verb): 
English Meaning - To cause someone to be liked by someone.
Bangla Meaning - নিজেকে প্রিয় (প্রিয়তর) করা।

Complete Sentence - The speaker's charismatic personality and captivating speech endeared the audience, leaving them spellbound.

Other options, 
Repelled - তাড়িয়ে দেওয়া; গ্রহণ করতে অস্বীকৃতি জানানো; না-করা।
Exhausted - সম্পূর্ণরূপে ব্যয় করে ফেলা। 
Puzzled - বিমূঢ় করা; হতবুদ্ধি করা; কিংকর্তব্যবিমূঢ় হওয়া বা করা।
