Speak (কথা বলা) এটি একটি transitive verb. এই verb টির কাজ তার ‍subject তথা English করতে পারে না। তাই এটি passive এর গঠণ অনুসরণ করবে।

Countabe noun এবং uncountable noun উভয়ের সাথেই Any ব্যবহার করা যায়।

যদি Countable noun টি singular হয় তবে এর Auxiliary verb টি singular হবে।
যেমনঃ Is there any car on the street?

Countable noun টি Plural হলে Auxiliary verb টিও Plural হবে।

Phrase: 

A phrase is one or more words that form a meaningful grammatical unit within a clause. (Not a complete sentence though)

দুই বা ততোধিক শব্দ মিলিয়ে সেই শব্দগুচ্ছটি যখন একটি নির্দিষ্ট  Parts of Speech এর অর্থ প্রকাশ করে, তখন তাকে Phrase বলে। 

প্রদত্ত বাক্যে, ‍a great star এই তিনটি আলাদা শব্দ মিলিয়ে  Phrase গঠন করেছে। যার অর্থ, একজন বিখ্যাত তারকা। 

মনে রাখতে হবে,

Clause:

- একটি clause এ অবশ্যই  Subject + verb কম্বিনেশন থাকবে। 
Clauses can perform three distinct functions. They can operate as: 
- Noun clause: She completely understood everything he said.

- Adverb clause: She fixed the sink without facing difficulty.

Neither + subject(1) + nor + subject(2) -এর (2) নং subject অনুসারে verb বসে।
উপরের বাক্যে 2 নং subject হলো Rehana, যা একটি singular noun. তাই verb ও singular.

- Bangla Meaning - রাগান্বিত হওয়া।

- বাক্যটিতে মা অত্যন্ত রেগে যাওয়ার অর্থ বোঝাতে idiom সঠিকভাবে ব্যবহার হয়েছে।

অন্যান্য idioms-এর অর্থ ভিন্ন:
ক) Mom will hit the deck when she sees the broken vase.
- Hit the deck → বিপদের সময় দ্রুত মাটিতে শুয়ে/নিচু হয়ে পড়া।

It is time দুটি Structure এ দুটি অর্থে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
1. It is time + Sub + Past Form of verb = উপযুক্ত সময় আগেই শেষ, এখনই শেষ সময়।
2. It is time for (+ objective form of subject) + to + base form of verb = এখনই উপযুক্ত সময়।

English Meaning: offer suggestions about the best course of action to someone.
Bangla Meaning: পরামর্শ/উপদেশ দেওয়া; সুপারিশ করা।
- Advise এর পর object না এসে সরাসরি verb আসলে তখন verb+ ing হবে।

• Tiptoe around (phrasal verb with tiptoe verb):

• Light/Lit with (make bright) 
- English Meaning: to produce light that makes an object or area bright or easy to see.
- Bangla Meaning: এমন আলো তৈরি করা যা কোনও বস্তু বা জায়গাকে উজ্জ্বল বা সহজে দেখা যায়।

- যখন কোনো instrument বা means (উপকরণ) (especially in passive voice) দিয়ে আলো জ্বালানো হয় তখন "Lit with" ব্যবহারই উপযুক্ত।
- অর্থাৎ, যখন কোনো tool, instrument, বা material ব্যবহার করে কাজ করা হয়, তখন "with" ব্যবহৃত হয়।

• As well as, with, along with, together with, except, in addition to, no less than, accompanied by, including, ইত্যাদি শব্দগুলো বাক্যে দুটি subject কে যুক্ত করলে প্রথম subject অনুসারে verb হয়।
- অর্থাৎ, প্রথম noun/ pronoun টি singular হলে verb টি singular হবে।
- আবার প্রথম noun/ pronoun টি plural হলে verb টি plural হবে।

- প্রশ্ন প্রদত্ত অপশনগুলোতে প্রথম subject 'The captain' হলো singular তাই verb টিও singular (was) হবে।

- অন্যান্য অপশনগুলোতে plural verb ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে যা সঠিক নয়।

Bread and butter, Soup and salad, well and woe, বাক্যগুলো শেষে সর্বদাই verb singular হয়।
সুতরাং Bread and butter is my breakfast সঠিক উত্তর।

সাধারণত complex sentence এর subordinate clause টি সব সময় assertive sentence এ হয়। অর্থাৎ sub + verb + ext. এই structure অনুযায়ী হবে।

• One of/ Any of/ Each of/ Either of/ Neither of যদি subject হিসেবে ব্যবহার হয় তাহলে এরপরে সব সময় Plural Noun বসে। যার কারণে এটি 'Each of the three boys' হয়েছে।
- আর 'Each of the three boys' phrase এর headword টি 'Each' singular হওয়ায় Verb Singular হবে।
- তাই Verb হিসেবে got (simple past tense) ব্যবহার হয়েছে।

• উল্লিখিত বাকি অপশনগুলো,
ক) A few of the three boys got a prize.
- ভুল। কারণ, A few মানে “কয়েকজন”, কিন্তু নির্দিষ্ট তিনজনের ক্ষেত্রে এটি অস্বাভাবিক ও অপ্রয়োজনীয়।

- ভুল। কারণ, Every এর পরে of ব্যবহার হয় না।

ঘ) All the three boys got a prize.
- “All the three boys” কিছুটা অপ্রচলিত standard English-এ এটি গ্রহণযোগ্য নয়। (খ) 'Each of the' অধিকগ্রহণযোগ্য উত্তর।

ক- এখানে made – causative verb. তারপর ‍show Verb-টা Bare Infinitive (উহ্য to সহ Verb এর Base Form) হিসেবে বসেছে।

- বাক্যটি ভুল। কারণ 'got' verb টি Past form এ রয়েছে তাই এর সাথে "s" যোগ করা যাবে না।

ঘ) All of the three boys got a prize
- বাক্যটি ভুল।
- সঠিক বাক্যটি হতো "All three boys got a prize".
- "All of the three boys" is somewhat redundant and less natural.

• Correct sentence: They prepared dinner for you and me.

• Preposition এর পরে সবসময় Pronoun এর object form বসে।
- প্রদত্ত অপশনে object form হলো - you and me.
- আর একাধিক object form বসলে, অর্থাৎ First person, Second person, Third person এর Pronoun বা Noun যদি একই বাক্যে ব্যবহার করতে হয় তাহলে প্রথমে 2nd person, পরে 3rd person এবং অবশেষে 1st person বসে।

Bangla Meaning: আমি এটা লিখে রাখাই ভালো, না হলে আমি ভুলে যাব।

- 'Otherwise' শব্দটির অর্থ হলো "if not" বা "or else", যার বাংলা প্রতিশব্দ হলো "না হলে", "অন্যথায়", "তা না হলে"।
'Otherwise' শব্দটি এই দুই অংশের মধ্যে যুক্তি সংগত সম্পর্ক তৈরি করে। এটি বোঝায় যে, প্রথম কাজটি না করলে দ্বিতীয়টি ঘটবে।
