Preposition, Conjunction and Interjection

• কোনোকিছু তৈরির পর ঐ উপাদানটি দেখা গেলে made of বসে।
- The table is made of wood. 
- The ring is made of gold.
- এখানে table বা ring তৈরি করার পরও এগুলোর উপাদান wood/gold অপরিবর্তিত অবস্থায় রয়েছে। 

• আর কোনোকিছু তৈরির পর ঐ উপাদানটি দেখা না গেলে বা উপাদান পরিবর্তিত হলে made from বসে। 
- The paper is made from wood.
- Glass is made from sand.
- এখানে paper বা Glass তৈরি করার পর এগুলোর উপাদান wood/sand আর দেখা যাচ্ছে না বা উপাদান পরিবর্তন হয়েছে।

• Unless (conjunction)
- এটি একটি subordinating conjunction যা একটি নেতিবাচক শর্ত বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- কোনো কিছু না ঘটলে অন্য কিছু ঘটবে বোঝাতে এটি ব্যবহৃত হয়
- Example: You will fail the exam unless you study hard. 

• অন্যদিকে,
• Though/Although - যদিও, যদ্যপি।
- Although থাকলে দুইটি clause সাধারণত একই tense-এ থাকে এবং দুটিই বিপরীতধর্মী ধারণা প্রকাশ করে ।
- Complex Sentence -এ Though/Although দ্বারা দুটি বিপরীতধর্মী clause যুক্ত হয় আর although বাক্যের শুরুতে ব্যবহৃত হলে দুটি clause এর মাঝে শুধু  comma ব্যবহৃত হয় ।
- এরা অবশই clause এর পূর্বে বসে।
- যেমন: I could not sleep, though/although I was very tired.
- Although she is young, she is very smart.

• In spite of
- কোন কিছু সত্ত্বেও অর্থে in spite of/despite ব্যবহার হয়।
- এরা সবসময় noun বা noun phrase -এর পূর্বে বসে।
- তবে মনে রাখতে হবে যে, despite এর পর কখনোই of বসে না।
- কিন্তু In spite -এর পরে of বসে।

বাক্যের অর্থ: সুন্দরবনে প্রচুর পরিমাণে বাঘ পাওয়া যায়।

• Compensate for something:
- English Meaning: to pay someone money in exchange for something that has been lost or damaged, or for some problem.
- Bangla Meaning: ক্ষতিপূরণ করা; খেসারত দেওয়া।

- অর্থাৎ, কোনো কিছুর ক্ষতিপূরণ/ খেসারত দেওয়া অর্থে Compensate এর সাথে for ব্যবহৃত হয়।

অন্যদিকে,
And: 
- It is a coordinating conjunction. We use 'and' to connect two words, phrases or clauses.
- এটি দুই বা ততোধিক সমশ্রেণীর clause কে যুক্ত করতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Since:
- Since as a conjunction is used to introduce a reason.
- কোন ঘটনার কারণ হিসেবে দুটি Clause এর মাঝে Since, conjunction হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Because
- কোন ঘটনা ঘটার কারণ হিসেবে একটি Independent clause এর সাথে আর একটি Dependent Clause কে যুক্ত করতে conjunction হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

ব্যাখ্যা:

English meaning: on or to the other side of somebody/something.
Bangla meaning: পেরিয়ে; ছাড়িয়ে।

If one thing is conducive to another thing, it makes the other thing likely to happen.
Example:- Sometimes the home environment just isn't conducive to reading.
- Swimming is conducive to health.
- Early rising is conducive to health.

- Count upon অর্থ কারো জন্য দুঃখ অনুভব করা।
- প্রদত্ত বাক্যে upon বসবে।
- I count upon your help.

Complete sentence: I asked her out for dinner on this Friday.
- specific days or dates বোঝালে সাধারণত এর পূর্বে preposition 'on' বসে।

- কোনো নির্দিষ্ট সময় বা যখন একটি ঘটনা বা কার্যকলাপ ঘটছে, তার সময়কাল বোঝাতে during ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- যেমন: He made noise during the meeting.

গ) By 
- নির্দিষ্ট সময়ের মধ্যে কোনো কাজ শেষ করা বোঝাতে 'by' বসে।
- যেমন: He will finish the work by five o'clock.

ঘ) Along
- কোনো রেখা, রাস্তা বা নদী বরাবর চলা বা থাকা বোঝাতে বা কোনো কিছুর সাথে একই দিকে বা পাশাপাশি থাকা বোঝাতে along  ব্যবহৃত হয়  ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- যেমন: 1. He walked along the beach.
              2. There were chairs along the wall.

Delight (adjective) - আনন্দ; হর্ষ; উল্লাস; পুলক

সাধারণত emotional state বুঝাতে adjective এর পরে preposition হিসেবে with বসে।
যেমন: angry with, furious with, disappointed with, displeased with, delighted with.

• Subordinating Conjunctions:
- A subordinating conjunction is simply the word/ words that is used to join a subordinating clause to another main clause or sentence.
- যে Conjunction Subordinating clause টিকে independent বা main clause এর যুক্ত করে তাকে Subordinating Conjunctions বলে।

• For example:
- He was annoyed because the train had stopped.
- By adding 'because' we can link the subordinating clause "the train had stopped" with the main clause "He was annoyed".

সঠিক উত্তর: গ) She was accused of stealing.

• Accuse (someone) of (something):
English meaning - to say that someone has done something morally wrong, illegal, or unkind.
Bangla meaning - কাউকে কোন কিছুর অপরাধে অভিযুক্ত করা।
- সেই হিসেবে Accuse এর পর appropriate preposition হিসেবে of বসবে।

• Example:
- He accused her of being disloyal.
- He was accused of murder.

- When talking about a rate or level, we use "at".

Unless:
- Unless একটি সংযোজক অব্যয় বা Conjunction যা 'যদি না' অর্থে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- অর্থাৎ কোনো একটি শর্ত পূরণ না হলে অন্য কিছু ঘটবে অথবা ঘটবে না এমন বোঝাতে ব্যাবহৃত হয়।

ক) If: 
- সাধারণত দুটি Clause বা দুটি Sentence কে সংযুক্ত করতে 'If' ব্যবহৃত হয়। 
- ভবিষ্যত সম্ভাব্য অবস্থা এবং তার ফলাফল বোঝাতে if ব্যাবহার করা হয়।

গ) In case:
- এটি কোনো সম্ভাব্য ভবিষ্যৎ পরিস্থিতি বা ঘটনার জন্য পূর্ব প্রস্তুতি বা সতর্কতা বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Lest [লেস্‌ট্] (conjunction)
(১) যাতে না-ঘটে (এজন্য): I grabbed the iron rail lest I should fall down.
(২) এই আশঙ্কায়: We hurried lest we should miss the train.

• blind in/of মানে দৃষ্টিশক্তিতে অন্ধ।
• blind to মানে দোষের প্রতি অন্ধ।

সঠিক উত্তর হবে His mother is blind to her son’s fault.
বাংলা অর্থ: তার মা তার ছেলের দোষের প্রতি অন্ধ।

অন্যদিকে,
• Blind (in/ of)
English Meaning: Unable to see.
Bangla Meaning: অন্ধ; দৃষ্টিশক্তিহীন।
Example: The man is blind of/in one eye.

• সাধারণত চোখে না দেখার ক্ষেত্রে Blind এর সাথে preposition হিসেবে in/of দুটোর ব্যবহারই শুদ্ধ।

Repose trust/confidence/hope in someone/something (idiom):
English Meaning - To place your trust or hopes in someone or something.
Bangla Meaning - (আনুষ্ঠানিক) বিশ্বাস /আস্থা স্থাপন করা।
Example Sentence - We repose a lot of hope in this project.

এছাড়াও,
Repose on: 
English Meaning - To rest or lie. 
Bangla Meaning - বিশ্রাম; ঘুম।

Complete Sentence - Despite the setbacks, the team continued to repose their hope in their coach, trusting in his ability to lead them to victory.

Gratitude (to somebody) (for something):
Meaning - কৃতজ্ঞতা।
- কোন বিষয়ে কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করতে Gratitude এর পর 'for' preposition ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- প্রশ্নে উল্লেখিত বাক্যে - পিতামাতার সাপোর্টের প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ বোঝানো হয়েছে অর্থাৎ, for something.

Example: 
1. I would like to express my deep gratitude for your generous support during my time of need.
2. She showed immense gratitude for the opportunity to travel to a foreign country and experience new cultures.

- যে Part of speech দুই বা ততোধিক Word, Phrase বা Clause এর মধ্যে সংযোগ স্থাপন করে, তাকে Conjunction বলে।
There are three basic types of conjunctions:
1. Coordinating conjunctions:
- যা সমমানের দুইটি word, phrase বা clause এর মধ্যে সংযোগ স্থাপন করে।
- অর্থাৎ Coordinating Conjunctions সমান গুরুত্বসম্পন্ন দুটি word, phrase, বা clause যুক্ত করতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- যেমন: and, or, but, nor etc.

2. Subordinating Conjunctions:
- যে Conjunction একটি clause এর শুরুতে বা মাঝে বসে অন্য clause এর স্থান, কাল, ধরণ, মাত্রা, ইত্যাদি বুঝানোর জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়, তাকে Subordinating Conjunction বলে।
- অর্থাৎ Subordinating Conjunctions একটি clause অন্য clause-এর ওপর নির্ভরশীল হলে, সেখানে Subordinating Conjunction ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- যেমন: how, If, Lest, after, although, as, because, before, even if, even though, once, since, unless, until, when, where, while, ইত্যাদি।

3. Correlative Conjunctions:
- পরস্পর সম্পর্কযুক্ত জোড়ায় জোড়ায় ব্যবহৃত conjunction গুলোই Correlative Conjunctions.
- অর্থাৎ Correlative Conjunctions এগুলো সবসময় জোড়ায় জোড়ায় ব্যবহৃত হয় এবং একই ধরনের word বা phrase যুক্ত করে।
- যেমন: either...or, neither...nor, not only...but also, both...and, whether...or, as...as, ইত্যাদি।

English meaning: to return to doing, using, being, or referring to something, usually something bad or less satisfactory.
Bangla meaning: (আগের অবস্থায়, বিষয়ে) প্রত্যাবর্তন করা। 

Example:
- Why does the conversation have to revert to money every five minutes?
- [ + -ing verb ] When they divorced, she reverted to using her maiden name.

revert to someone:
Meaning: to become the property of a particular person again.

Example: When I die, the house will revert to my sister.

• Moreover এর ব্যবহার:
- আগেরটির সাথে প্রাসঙ্গিক ও গুরুত্বপূর্ণ নতুন তথ্য যোগ করতে "Moreover" ব্যবহার করা হয়।
- Ex: The restaurant is affordable; moreover, the food is delicious.
- পরের তথ্যটি আগেরটির চেয়ে বেশি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বোঝাতে "Moreover" ব্যবহার করা হয়।
- Ex: It was a good car, and moreover, the price was quite reasonable.

ক) While এর ব্যবহার:
- বিভিন্ন অর্থে 'While' conjunction হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- পক্ষান্তরে; তুলনায় অর্থে 'While' ব্যবহার করা হয়।
- আবার, although (যদিও), (একই সময়ে), অর্থে conjunction হিসেবে 'While' ব্যবহৃত হয়।

খ) Unless: 
- 'যদি না' অর্থে এটি শর্ত বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- এটি নিজেই negative অর্থ প্রদান করে।
- এজন্যে unless দ্বারা যে clause শুরু হয় তাতে no বা not বসে না।

ঘ) In spite of/despite:
- (কিছু) সত্ত্বেও অর্থে এরা সবসময় noun বা noun phrase -এর পূর্বে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Die of a disease অর্থ কোন রোগে মারা যাওয়া।
Of বসিয়ে বাক্যেটির বাংলা: আমার চাচাদের একজন ম্যালেরিয়া রোগে মারা গেছে।

- Die from অর্থ কোন কারণে মরা।

Carry something off (phrasal verb): 
English Meaning - To succeed in doing or achieving something difficult. 
Bangla Meaning - জিতে নেওয়া। 
For example - I thought he carried off the part of Hamlet with great skill.

Complete Sentence - Despite facing fierce competition, she managed to carry off the top prize in the competition.

(ক) চালানো; চালিয়ে যাওয়া; অব্যাহত রাখা; He could not carry on his father’s trade due to family disputes.
(খ) অনর্গল বা নালিশের সুরে কথা বলা; উদ্ভট বা সন্দেহজনক আচরণ করা: Look! How they are carrying on. 

• Carry on with -
(কোনো কিছু) করে/চালিয়ে যাওয়া: Whatever happens, I will carry on my work.

• Carry something out -
(ক) পালন/কার্যকর/সম্পন্ন করা: carry out a plan/threat/promise etc.
(খ) চালানো/সম্পন্ন/নিষ্পন্ন করা: carry out experiments/tests.

• Carry something forward -
(বাণিজ্য. হিসাব.) পরপৃষ্ঠায় জের টানা।

• Carry somebody/something through -
(ক) (বাধাবিপত্তির মধ্য দিয়ে) সাহায্য করা; সহায় হওয়া: His tenacity has carried him through;
(খ) পূর্ণ/পালন করা: The contract must be carried through.
