to এর পর এমনিতে verb এর base form ব্যবহৃত হলেও with a view to/ look forward to/ be used to ইত্যাদির পর verb+ing ব্যবহৃত হয়।

• He has recently launched a new business. (recently থাকলে Present Perfect Tense হয়, এবং এখানে যথাযথভাবেই তা আছে)
• His grandfather died in 2009. (in 2009 - অতীতের সময় উল্লেখ থাকায় এটি Past Indefinite Tense হবে।)

◉ The correct sentence is - I have been working here for five years. 
এখানে, কাজের পরিধি পূর্বে শুরু হয়ে বর্তমানে চলছে বুঝাচ্ছে এবং 'Period of time' আছে বিধায় Present Perfect Continuous Tense ব্যবহার করতে হবে। 

Present Perfect Continuous Tense: 
আমরা সাধারণত দুটি ক্ষেত্রে Present Perfect Continuous tense ব্যবহার করি। যথা—

১) যখন কোনো কাজ past-এ শুরু হয়ে এখনো চলতে থাকে।
২) যখন কোনো কাজ just শেষ হয়েছে, কিন্তু চলমান অবস্থায় এটি একটি continuous action ছিল। 
Structure: (Subject + has/have + been + v₁ + ing)

Present Perfect Continuous চেনার জন্য prepositions—
⇒ Since – Point of time (নির্দিষ্ট সময়ের শুরু বোঝাতে) কোনো কাজ নির্দিষ্ট একটা সময়ে শুরু হয়েছে এবং এখনো চলছে, তখন "Since" ব্যবহার করা হয়।
⇒ For – Period of time (সময়ের স্থিতিকাল বোঝাতে) কোনো কাজ কতক্ষণ ধরে চলছে তা বোঝাতে "For" ব্যবহার করা হয়।

Examples: 
- I have been writing a novel since 2015.
- He has been waiting there for 2 hours. 

উল্লেখ্য, Present Perfect Continuous-এর passive form ব্যবহার করা হয় না।

Let + প্রদত্ত subject টির objective form + প্রদত্ত sentence এর মূল verb থেকে শেষ পর্যন্ত৷
যেমনঃ
Affirmative: He plays football.
Imperative: Let him play football.

- বর্তমানে কোনো কাজ 'চলছে' বা 'ঘটছে' এরূপ বোঝালে verb-এর Present continuous tense হয়।

• বাক্যে now, at this moment, at this time. At present, still ইত্যাদি থাকলে বাক্যটি present continuous tense হয়।
- তেমনিভাবে বর্তমানে তাৎক্ষণিক দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণমূলক শব্দ, যেমন-look, listen, hush ইত্যাদি থাকলেও present continuous হয়। 
- উল্লেখ্য যেসব verb এর continuous হয় না সে গুলোকে present indefinite এ ব্যবহার করতে হয়।

Other options:
ক) was working
- বাক্যে now, at this moment, at this time. At present, still ইত্যাদি থাকলে বাক্যটি present continuous tense হয়। তাই এটি সঠিক নয়।

গ) has worked
- বাক্যে now, at this moment, at this time. At present, still ইত্যাদি থাকলে বাক্যটি present continuous tense হয়। তাই এটি সঠিক নয়। এখানে 'has worked' verb হিসেবে গ্রহন করলে বাক্যটি Present Perfect Tense হয়। তাই এটি সঠিক নয়।

ঘ) were working
- বাক্যে now, at this moment, at this time. At present, still ইত্যাদি থাকলে বাক্যটি present continuous tense হয়। তাই এটি সঠিক নয়। এখানে 'were working' verb হিসেবে গ্রহন করলে বাক্যটি Past continuous tense হয়। তাই এটি সঠিক নয়।

• Correct answer: Dolly has been ill for about fortnight.
- Just, Just now, Already, Recently, Yet, Ever, Fortnight, so far, up to now, up to the present, থাকলে Sentence টি Present Perfect Tense হয়।
- Fortnight (A period of 14 days: two weeks) দিয়ে Point of time উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে।
- Point of time উল্লেখ থাকায় বুঝা যায় বাক্যটি Present Perfect Continuous Tense হবে।

• Present Perfect Tense:
- কোন কাজ পূর্বে শুরু হয়ে বর্তমানে চলছে বুঝালে Present Perfect Tense হয়।

• Structure: Subject + has/ have + V3 + extension.

• Example sentence:
- I have done it.
- She has used the pen.
- My father has been transferred to Khulna recently.

• কিছু ক্ষেত্রে কোনো সময় উল্লেখ না করা হলে বাক্যে যদি always, often, sometimes, everyday, daily, regularly, usually, normally, usually, generally ইত্যাদি থাকে তাহলে বাক্যে verb টি present indefinite tense হয়।

ক) has
- যেহেতু প্রদত্ত বাক্যের Subject plural number তাই verb টিও Plural হবে। কারণ Plural subject , Plural verb গ্রহন করে। তাই এটি সঠিক নয়।

গ) had
- বাক্যে যদি always, often, sometimes, everyday, daily, regularly, usually, normally, generally, ইত্যাদি থাকে তাহলে বাক্যে verb টি present indefinite tense হয়। তাই এটি সঠিক নয়।

ঘ) ate
- বাক্যে যদি always, often, sometimes, everyday, daily, regularly, usually, normally, generally, ইত্যাদি থাকে তাহলে বাক্যে verb টি present indefinite tense হয়। তাই এটি সঠিক নয়।

Correct sentence: We watched a fireworks show last night.
- এখানে সময় নির্দেশ করছে last night, তাই এখানে 'watch' এর Past Indefinite Tense ব্যবহার হয়েছে।

বাক্যটি অতীতে একটি নির্দিষ্ট সময়ে (গত রাতে) ঘটে যাওয়া একটি সম্পূর্ণ কাজ বোঝাচ্ছে। ইংরেজি গ্রামারে এই ধরনের বাক্যের জন্য past simple tense ব্যবহার করতে হয়।

• অতীত নির্দেশক কোন শব্দ বা phrase যেমন (yesterday, ago, long since, last night, last week, last month, last year, the day before yesterday ইত্যাদি) Past Indefinite Tense নির্দেশ করে।
- তাই নিয়ম অনুযায়ী এদের পর verb এর past form হয়। 
যেমন: I came home last night.

• আবার, Past Indefinite Tense যদি interrogative হয় তবে structure হবে: Wh-questions + did + V1 + extension +? 

অপশনগুলোর বিশ্লেষণ:
ক) We have watched a fireworks show last night. → ভুল। Present perfect (have + V3) "last night"-এর মতো নির্দিষ্ট অতীত সময়ের সাথে ব্যবহার করা যায় না। Present perfect সাধারণত অ নির্দিষ্ট সময়ে (ever, never, recently, so far ইত্যাদি) ব্যবহৃত হয়।

গ) We had watched a fireworks show last night. → ভুল। Past perfect (had + V3) তখনই ব্যবহার হয় যখন অতীতের একটি ঘটনার আগে আরেকটি ঘটনা ঘটেছে (past before past)। এখানে শুধু একটি ঘটনা, তাই past perfect-এর প্রয়োজন নেই।

ঘ) We watch a fireworks show last night. → ভুল। Present simple (watch) অতীতের ঘটনার জন্য ব্যবহার করা যায় না।

◉ Complete Sentence - She has been cleaning the house, and now it looks spotless.
এই sentence টি perfect example of Present Perfect Continuous কারণ:
- Action টা (cleaning) অতীতে শুরু হয়েছিল, 
- Action টা এইমাত্র শেষ হয়েছে, 
- যখন চলছিল তখন continuous action ছিল, 
- Result টা present এ দেখা যাচ্ছে (now it looks spotless). 

Present Perfect Continuous Tense: 
- Present Perfect Continuous তখন use করা হয় যখন—
a) কোন action অতীতে শুরু হয়েছে এবং এখনো চলছে, 
b) Action টা এইমাত্র শেষ হয়েছে, কিন্তু যখন চলছিল তখন continuous ছিল। 

এই tense এ দুইটা important preposition use করা হয়:
Since = কখন থেকে শুরু হয়েছে; Since এর পরে specific time point বসে (morning, 2019, last week). 
For = কতক্ষণ ধরে চলছে; For এর পরে time duration বসে (2 hours, 5 years, 3 months). 

Structure: Subject + has/have + been + verb + ing. 
Examples: 
- I have been reading this book for two weeks.
Explanation: The action of reading started two weeks ago and is still ongoing.

- She has been working at the company since January.
Explanation: She started working in January and continues to work there now.

উল্লেখ্য, 
- এই tense এর কোন passive form নেই। 
- Action টা যে এখনো চলছে সেটা বোঝাতে '-ing' form use করা হয়।

Complete sentence: The family left their homeland during the 1990s.

• অতীতের একটি নির্দিষ্ট ঘটনা বোঝাতে Simple Past ব্যবহার হয়।
- এখানে 1990s একটি নির্দিষ্ট অতীত সময় নির্দেশ করছে।
- অতএব, left (simple past of leave) সঠিক।

Other options,
খ) was left
- এটি passive form.
- অর্থ: "ছাড়া হয়েছিল" বা "পরিত্যক্ত ছিল"।
- উদাহরণ: The house was left in ruins after the storm.
- এখানে “the family” মূল subject হওয়ায় passive voice ব্যবহার করা ভুল।

গ) had been left:
- এটি Past Perfect Passive। এর অর্থও হবে "পরিবারটিকে ছেড়ে যাওয়া হয়েছিল" যা সঠিক নয়।

ঘ) had left:
- ভুল — Past perfect, সাধারণত তখন ব্যবহার হয় যখন কোনো ঘটনা আরেকটি অতীত ঘটনার আগে ঘটেছে।

Government অফিসগুলো সাধারণত শুক্রবারে বন্ধ থাকে। এটা অনেকটা বাঙ্গালিদের জন্য অভ্যাসে পরিণত হয়েছে। আর অভ্যাস বুঝালে present indefinite tense হয়।
সুতরাং অপশন ’ক’ তে future tense ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে তাই এটি উত্তর হবে না।
অপশন ‘খ’ তে past indefinite tense ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে তাই এটি উত্তর হবে না।
অপশন ‘গ’ তে subject ও verb এর মধ্যকার agreement না থাকায় এটিও উত্তর হবে না।
অপশন ‘ঘ’ তে present indefinite tense ব্যবহার হওয়ায় এটিই সঠিক উত্তর।

- English Meaning: In great quantities/ very hard.
- Bangla Meaning: মুষলধারে।

• প্রশ্নে উল্লিখিত বাক্যটিতে “tomorrow” থাকায় Future Continuous Tense-এর মধ্যে পড়ে:
- যার গঠন হয়: Subject + shall be/will be + verb-এর ing রূপ + object.

এখানে,
- Subject: She
- Auxiliary verb: will be
- Main verb: singing (verb + ing)
- Object: the song
- Time marker: tomorrow
সেই অনুযায়ী সঠিক বাক্য: She will be singing the song tomorrow.

• অন্যান্য অপশন কেন ভুল:
ক) She will sang the song tomorrow. “sang” → past form; “will” এর পরে base form প্রয়োজন।
গ) She will been singing the song tomorrow. “been” → perfect tense marker, কিন্তু “will” এর সঙ্গে “be” প্রয়োজন।

• Past perfect continuous tense:
- অতীতে কোন কাজ/ঘটনা কিছু কাল ধরে চলছিল বুঝাতে Past perfect continuous tense হয়।
- Structure: Sub + had been + verb এর present participle (root form of verb + ing) + ext.

- প্রদত্ত বাক্যে, "They had been working"- এটি একটি ক্রিয়া যা অতীতে একটি নির্দিষ্ট সময় পর্যন্ত চলছিল। তাই এটি Past perfect continuous tense হবে।
- (had been + verb-ing) emphasizes the ongoing process before another past event (before we arrived).

- যেমন:
- We had been waiting for the bus when it suddenly started raining.
- He had been studying all day when his friends came over.

• Would that:
- Would that দিয়ে sentence শুরু হলে subject এরপর could বসে এবং verb এর Present form বসে।

• ​ভবিষ্যতকালের দুটি কাজ before দ্বারা যুক্ত হলে before এর পূর্বে Future indefinite/ Perfect tense হয় এবং before এর পরে Present Indefinite tense হয়।
