◉ Correct sentence - There is little sugar in the jar, we can’t make any coffee.
(পাত্রটিতে চিনি নেই বললেই চলে; আমরা কফি বানাতে পারবো না।) 

Little ও A little এর ব্যবহার (a little হ্যাঁসূচক; little নাসূচক): 
- 'Little' এবং 'A little' উভয়ই uncountable noun-এর সাথে ব্যবহৃত হয়, তবে অর্থের দিক থেকে দুটোর মধ্যে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ পার্থক্য রয়েছে।

Little - 
অর্থ: প্রায় নেই, খুব সামান্য (নেতিবাচক অর্থ প্রকাশ করে)
ব্যবহার: কোনো বস্তু বা বিষয় প্রায় অনুপস্থিত বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।Uncountable noun (milk, water, hope, information, time ইত্যাদি) এর পূর্বে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
উদাহরণ:
- There is little hope of his recovery. (তার সুস্থ হওয়ার প্রায় কোনো আশা নেই।)
- He has little money left in his bank account. (তার ব্যাংকে প্রায় কোনো টাকা নেই।)

A little - 
অর্থ: কিছুটা আছে, যা দরকারি কাজে লাগতে পারে (ইতিবাচক অর্থ প্রকাশ করে)
ব্যবহার: খুব বেশি না হলেও কিছুটা আছে বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। Uncountable noun (milk, time, information ইত্যাদি)এর পূর্বে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
উদাহরণ: 
- There is a little hope that he will recover. (তার সুস্থ হওয়ার কিছুটা আশা আছে।)
- He has a little money, so he can buy some food. (তার কিছু টাকা আছে, তাই সে খাবার কিনতে পারবে।)

• The sentence is - I hardly saw no birds in the park.

• Explanation:
- "Hardly" নিজেই একটি negative অর্থবাচক শব্দ, তাই এর পরে "no" ব্যবহার করা যাবে না।
- Correct sentence is - "I hardly saw any birds in the park."

• উল্লিখিত বাকি অপশনগুলো,
ক) Few students could solve the problem.
- এখানে Few (কিছু সংখ্যক) সঠিক determiner, যা plural countable noun "students" কে determine করতে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।

- Many সঠিক determiner, যা countable noun "questions" কে determine করতে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।

- Cardinal Numeral determiners হলো শব্দ যা noun-এর আগে বসে এবং সংখ্যা বা order নির্দেশ করে।
- এখানে Seven হলো cardinal numeral determiner, কারণ এটি noun-এর পরিমাণ দেখাচ্ছে।

• Determiner:
- এর প্রধান কাজ Noun/ Pronoun কে Determine করা।
- Noun/ Pronoun এর নির্দিষ্টতা-অনির্দিষ্টতা বুঝাতে এটি ব্যবহার হয়।

- First, second, last হলো ordinal numeral determiners.

• Interrogative Determiners:
- which, what, whose.

• সঠিক উত্তর - How much?

• Complete sentence: How much sugar is too much for a child to eat in a day?
"Sugar" একটি uncountable noun, তাই এর সাথে "How much" ব্যবহার হয়।
- how much- কতটা; কী পরিমাণ; কতখানি।

- How much ব্যবহার হয় uncountable noun এর সাথে:
- Example: How much sugar?
- How many ব্যবহার হয় countable noun এর সাথে:
- Example: How many books?

• The sentence is - She received much advices from her teacher.

• এই বাক্যটিতে determiner এর misuse করা হয়েছে, কারণ much advices না হয়ে much advice হলে সঠিক হতো।
- advice একটি uncountable noun, তাই এর plural হয় না।
- এটিকে plural করতে হলে সঠিক determiner বসিয়ে plural করতে হয়।
- যেমন: two pieces of advice, a lot of advice, some advice, etc.

ক) We have plenty of ideas to discuss.
- "Plenty of" সঠিক determiner, যা countable noun "ideas" কে determine করতে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।
- Plenty of (প্রচুর; অঢেল) যা countable/ uncountable noun উভয়কে determine করে।

খ) There is little chance of winning the game.
- "Little" সঠিক determiner, যা uncountable noun "chance" কে determine করতে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।
- Little (নগণ্য; নাই বললেই চলে) শুধু uncountable noun এর পূর্বে বসে।

গ) I need some information before starting the project.
- "Some" সঠিক determiner, যা uncountable noun "information" কে determine করতে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে। 
- Some (কিছু/সামান্য পরিমাণ) countable/ uncountable noun উভয়কে determine করে।

সঠিক উত্তর: ক) little.
Complete sentence: There is little hope of finding the missing child.

Hope এখানে uncountable noun হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।
- Little → অগণনযোগ্য noun-এর জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয় এবং মানে “খুব কম” বা “প্রায় নেই”।

অন্যগুলো কেন ভুল:

খ) a little → মানে “কিছুটা আশা আছে” → এখানে context “প্রায় নেই” বোঝাচ্ছে, তাই ভুল।

গ) few → countable noun-এর জন্য → ভুল।

• Little, A little, Few, A few এর ব্যবহার:
- এগুলো হচ্ছে Quantifier determiners. যার দ্বারা কিছু পরিমাণ, সংখ্যাকে বুঝায়।
- Little এবং A little বসে Uncountable noun এর ক্ষেত্রে,
- Few এবং A few বসে Countable noun এর ক্ষেত্রে।
- Little ও Few, Negative quantifier determiners ব্যবহার করা হয়। এর অর্থ অল্প সংখ্যক বা নেই বললেই চলে।
- অল্প কয়েকটি অর্থে Countable noun এর আগে A few বসে এবং অল্প একটু বা সামান্য অর্থে Uncountable nour আগে A little বসে।

- many শুধু countable plural noun (যেমন: books, chairs, students) এর আগে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- "some" সাধারণভাবে uncountable বা plural noun-এর আগে ব্যবহার হয়, তবে বাক্যের অর্থ অনুযায়ী নির্দিষ্ট নয়।

• The misuse sentence is - How much chairs are there in the hall?

• chairs একটি countable noun, তাই এর পূর্বে determiner হিসেবে much নয় many বসবে।
- তাই এই sentence টিতে determiner এর misuse হয়েছে।

• উল্লিখিত বাকি অপশনগুলো,
ক) I read all the books.
- books (বই) হলো plural countable noun, আর countable noun এর পূর্বে determiner হিসেবে all ব্যবহৃত হয়।

গ) She bought many apples from the market.
- apples হলো plural countable noun, তাই এর পূর্বে determiner হিসেবে many ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।

ঘ) We saw several birds in the garden.
- birds ও plural countable noun, আর several determiner হিসেবে plural countable noun এর পূর্বেই বসে।

• শূন্যস্থানে সঠিক উত্তর হবে - a little.
• Complete sentence: Only a little courage can help you face your fears.

courage - uncountable noun.
Uncountable noun–এর জন্য আমরা ব্যবহার করি:

- a little → কিছু (positive sense),
- little → খুব কম (negative sense).

• Only এর পর সর্বদাই a few বা a little ব্যবহৃত হয়। 
- Countable noun এর ক্ষেত্রে only a few এবং uncountable noun এর ক্ষেত্রে only a little ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- 'courage' uncountable noun তাই এর ক্ষেত্রে only a little ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।

• Structure: 
- Only + a few/ a few of + plural countable noun +plural verb + ext.
- Only + a little/ a little of + uncountable noun + singular verb + ext.

Correct answer: a lot of.
Complete sentence: There are a lot of dangerous drivers. 
- বাক্যটিতে drivers যেহেতু plural noun তাই এর পূর্বে "a lot of"  বসবে।

• A lot of
- Meaning: A large number or amount of (things, people, etc.)
- এটি Countable (গণনাযোগ্য) এবং Uncountable (অগণনযোগ্য) উভয় প্রকার Noun-এর আগেই বসে।
- এখানে 'drivers' একটি Countable Plural Noun, তাই এর পূর্বে "a lot of" বসবে।

Other options:
ক) A very lot of
- অনেক/প্রচুর বোঝায়।
- 'A lot of'-এর আগে 'very' বসে না।

খ) Very many of
- 'Many of' সাধারণত তখনই ব্যবহৃত হয় যখন এরপর কোনো নির্দিষ্ট Pronoun (যেমন: them, us) বা 'the/these' যুক্ত noun থাকে।
- 'Many of'-এর আগে 'very' বসে না।

ঘ) Very much
- 'Much' সাধারণত Uncountable noun এর ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- যেহেতু 'drivers' একটি Countable Plural Noun, তাই তাই এর পূর্বে  'much' বসবে না।

- Story হচ্ছে singular countable noun.

• Use of determiner:
- প্রচুর/অনেক অর্থে countable এবং uncountable উভয় প্রকার noun এর পূর্বে a lot of/lots of/plenty of বসে।
- প্রদত্ত বাক্যে misinformation যেহেতু একটি uncountable noun তাই এর পূর্বে সঠিক determiner হিসেবে a lot of বসবে।

- misinformation একটি uncountable noun তাই এর plural (misinformations) হয় না।
- সুতরাং, শূন্যস্থানে সঠিক উত্তর হবে গ) a lot of misinformation.

• Explanation:
- books হলো countable plural noun.
- much সব সময় uncountable noun এর আগে বসে।
- তাই সঠিক হবে: many books.

• Correct sentence is - "I have many books to finish before the exam."

- "Some" সঠিক determiner, যা uncountable noun "sugar" কে determine করতে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।

• Correct answer: She has fewer apples than her brother.

• Few/ A Few/ The Few সবসময় Plural Countable Noun এর সাথে বসে।
- কোন বাক্যে than থাকলে এবং তা দ্বারা কোন কিছুর সাথে কোন কিছুর তুলনা বুঝালে বাক্যটি হয় comparative sentence অর্থাৎ than এর আগে অবশ্যই comparative degree বসবে ।
- Few এর comparative হলো fewer.
- তাই, এখানে Fewer ব্যবহার হয়েছে।

- The determiner in the sentence: Both several and my.

• Determiner:
- যে সকল word 'Noun' -এর নির্দেশক, নির্দিষ্টতা, অনির্দিষ্টতা, পরিমাণ, সংখ্যা, মালিকানা, না-বাচকতা ইত্যাদি নির্দেশ করে, সেগুলোকে Determiner বলে।
- Determiner -এর প্রধান কাজ হলো Noun -কে determine করা।

- A large amount of/ A small amount of এর সাথে সব সময় Uncountable Noun হয় এবং verb হিসেবে Singular verb বসে।
- Structure: A large amount of/ A small amount of + Uncountable Noun + Singular verb.

- প্রদত্ত sentence টিতে A large amount of এরপর water হলো Uncountable Noun এবং verb is হলো Singular.
- তাই নিয়ম অনুসারে প্রদত্ত sentence টি সঠিক।

পূর্ণ বাক্য: The glass contains a little drinking water.

Water হলো একটা uncountable noun.
- Uncountable noun-এর সাথে a little ব্যবহার করা হয় যখন অল্প পরিমাণ বোঝাতে চাই (এবং সাধারণত positive অর্থে, অর্থাৎ কিছু আছে)।
- a little - অল্প কিছু (positive sense).
 Example: There is a little water left. (কিছু পানি আছে।)

অন্য অপশনগুলো ভুল:

ক) several - এটা countable noun-এর জন্য ব্যবহার হয় (several books, several people)। পানির সাথে ব্যবহার হয় না।

খ) many - countable plural noun-এর জন্য (many glasses, many books)। Uncountable-এর সাথে much হয় (much water), কিন্তু many হয় না।

ঘ) a few - countable plural noun-এর জন্য (a few books, a few glasses)। পানির মতো uncountable-এর সাথে ব্যবহার হয় না।

• এখানে Water একটি Uncountable Noun যা গণনা করা যায় না,
- তাই এর আগে 'few' বা 'a few' বসতে পারে না। 'Few' এবং 'a few' কেবল Countable Noun-এর ক্ষেত্রে বসে।

• এই বাক্যটিতে determiner -এর misuse করা হয়েছে, কারণ much advices না হয়ে much advice হলে সঠিক হতো।

- "Little" সঠিক determiner, যা uncountable noun "hope" -কে determine করতে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।
- Little (নগণ্য; নাই বললেই চলে) শুধু uncountable noun -এর পূর্বে বসে।

• Information হলো uncountable noun.
- Uncountable nouns-এর আগে many / few ব্যবহার করা হয় না।
- এর বদলে ব্যবহার করা হয় much / a little / some.

ক) I need a little water to drink. 
→ water (uncountable) এর আগে a little ঠিক আছে।

→ furniture (uncountable) এর আগে enough ঠিক আছে।

• In the sentence "I have no apples in my bag."
- The determiners are: both no and my.

- No: "no" is a quantifier (indicating zero quantity) modifying "apples".
- My: "A possessive determiner showing ownership."

​• Determiner:
- যে সকল word - Noun -এর নির্দেশক, নির্দিষ্টতা, অনির্দিষ্টতা, পরিমাণ, সংখ্যা, মালিকানা, না-বাচকতা ইত্যাদি নির্দেশ করে, সেগুলোকে Determiner বলে।
- Determiner - এর প্রধান কাজ হলো Noun -কে determine করা।

• Advice হলো একটি Uncountable Noun. 
- অর্থাৎ এটার আগে a/an বসে না, এবং plural ও হয় না (advices বলা যায় না)।

Options,

ক) She gave me some good advices. → ভুল

- Advice হলো uncountable noun।
- Uncountable noun-এর plural বা “advices” বলা যায় না।

গ) She gave me many good advices. → ভুল

- Many ব্যবহার করা হয় countable noun-এর সঙ্গে।
- “Advice” uncountable, তাই “many” এখানে বসতে পারবে না।
- “advices” plural ব্যবহার করা।

ঘ) She gave me a good advices. → ভুল

- “A” ব্যবহার করা হয় singular countable noun-এর সঙ্গে।

• books একটি countable noun, তাই এর পূর্বে determiner হিসেবে a little নয় few বসবে।

ক) All the employees were ready for the meeting.
- employees হলো plural countable noun, আর countable noun এর পূর্বে determiner হিসেবে all ব্যবহৃত হয়।

গ) They have little interest in watching horror movies.
- interest হলো uncountable noun, তাই এর পূর্বে determiner হিসেবে little ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।

ঘ) Several cars are parked outside the building.
- cars, plural countable noun আর several determiner হিসেবে plural countable noun এর পূর্বেই বসে।

• এই বাক্যটিতে determiner -এর misuse করা হয়েছে, কারণ many advices না হয়ে much advice হলে সঠিক হতো।

- "Barely" নিজেই একটি negative অর্থবাচক শব্দ, তাই এর পরে "no" ব্যবহার করা যাবে না।
- Correct sentence is - "She saw no birds in the garden this morning."

- English Meaning - Many times.
- Bangla Meaning - অনেকেই/ অনেক সংখ্যক/কত না।

• Complete Sentence: Many a woman faces hardship every day.
- Bangla meaning: অনেক নারী প্রতিদিনই কষ্টের মুখোমুখি হয়।

 - "Many a/an" এর পর singular countable noun এবং singular verb ব্যবহার করা হয়।
- প্রদত্ত বাক্যে "Many a" এর পর singular noun "woman" আছে, তাই singular verb "faces" হবে।

• Structure:
- Many a/an + singular countable noun + singular verb.

• Determiner:
- এর প্রধান কাজ Noun/ Pronoun কে Determine করা।
- Noun/ Pronoun এর নির্দিষ্টতা-অনির্দিষ্টতা বুঝাতে এটি ব্যবহার হয়।
- তবে তা Noun কে আংশিক কিংবা পরিপূর্ণ ভাবে modify করলেও, modify করা এটির প্রধান কাজ নয়।

• Articles:
- a, an, the.

• Demonstratives:
- this, that, these, those.

• Possessives:
- my, your, his, her, its, our, their, Jahangir's.

• Quantifiers:
- some, any, much, many, a lot of, a little, little, a few, few, enough, several, plenty of, all, both, no, each, every, either, neither, more, less, most, a lot of, lots of, plenty of, etc.

• Numbers:
- one, two, three, four, five, six (etc.)

• General Ordinals:
- Last, next, other, the other, etc.

• Interrogative Determiners:
- which, what, whose.

• উল্লিখিত বাকি অপশনগুলো হলো,
- His - Possessive Determiners;
- Some এবং Few - Quantifiers Determiners.

• Complete sentence: Much of what she said was very sensible.

• Determiner:
- কোনো কিছুর অনেক/ অধিকাংশ বুঝাতে Many of + countable plural noun এবং Much of + uncountable noun ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- "What she said" is an uncountable noun phrase (refers to the general content or idea of her speech).
- অর্থাৎ, এখানে "What she said" হলো uncountable noun তাই এর পূর্বে determiner হিসেবে Much of ব্যবহৃত হবে।

অন্যদিকে,
- countable noun -এর ক্ষেত্রে many, few, or a few, ইত্যাদি ব্যবহৃত হয়।

- সুতরাং, শূন্যস্থানে সঠিক determiner টি হবে- Much.

Complete sentence: We need as many people as possible.
এখানে people একটি countable noun. 
Countable noun-এর সঙ্গে as … as possible এর ক্ষেত্রে many ব্যবহার করতে হয়।

• Countable Noun: 
- যেসব Noun গণনা করা যায় সেগুলিকে Countable Noun বলে। 
- Countable Noun এর পূর্বে 'many' বসে। 

অন্য অপশনগুলো ভুল:

ক) enough - "as enough people as possible" বলা যায় না। enough-এর সঙ্গে as … as possible এভাবে ব্যবহার হয় না।

খ) much - much শুধু uncountable noun এর সঙ্গে ব্যবহৃত হয়। উদাহরণ: as much water / as much time / as much money কিন্তু people-এর সঙ্গে much বসে না।

ঘ) most - "as most people as possible" বলা যায় না। most সাধারণত superlative-এ ব্যবহৃত হয় (the most people).
