সাধারণত determiner / article / preposition / possessive এদের পর একটি word থাকলে সেটি Noun।
আর দুটি word থাকলে শেষেরটি Noun এবং পূর্বেরটি Adjective হয়।
এখানে, the এর পরে দুটো শব্দ আছে যেখানে falling একটি adjective.

Light (adjective): 
Meaning -  (১) (স্থান) আলোকবিশিষ্ট; উজ্জ্বল: a light room.
(২) (রং) হালকা; লঘু; ফিকে; গাঢ় নয় এমন: a light coloured suit.

Example - 
The room was filled with soft, light colors.- এই sentence টিতে soft এবং light উভয়ই adjective; কারণ এই দুটি word, colors (noun) কে বিশেষায়িত করছে।

- 'southwestern' শব্দটি এখানে Adjective. কারণ Adjective এর কাজ হলো Noun বা Pronoun আগে বসে এর দোষ, গুণ, সংখ্যা, পরিমাণ, অবস্থা ইত্যাদি সম্পর্কে ধারণা দেয়া।

সাধারণত determiner এবং article এর মাঝে একটি শব্দ থাকলে সেটি noun, দুইটি শব্দ থাকলে শেষের টি noun এবং এর পূর্বেরটি Adjective।
অর্থাৎ গঠনটি এমন হয়- Adverb+Adjective+Noun.
Adjective of number ৩ প্রকার। যথা-
১. Cardinal numeral number- one, two, three etc.
২. Ordinal numeral number- first, second, third etc.
৩. Multiplicative numeral number- single, double, treble etc.

Pronoun: Noun এর পরিবর্তে যে সকল word ব্যবহার করা হয় তাদের pronoun বলে। নামের পরিবর্তে যে সকল শব্দ বসে বা ব্যাবহৃত হয় তাদের pronoun বলে। যেমনঃHe,She,They, etc.

Adverb: যে সকল word কোন verb ,adjective বা নিজেই নিজেকে modify করে তাদের adverb বলে।যেমন: better, slowly, very, just, quickly etc. 

Verb: যে সকল ওয়ার্ড দ্বারা করা ,খাওয়া ,যাওয়া, প্রভৃতি কাজ করা বুঝায় তাকে verb বলে । যেমন: Eat,see,catch ,play etc.

• His wife is a doctor.
- Here 'His' is a Possessive adjective.

• এখানে ‘His’- ‘wife’ কার – তার’।
- অর্থাৎ এটি ownership বা possession বোঝাচ্ছে।
- এমন ধরনের শব্দকে Possessive adjective (বা possessive determiner) বলা হয়।
- এটি noun-এর আগে আসে এবং noun কে modify করে।

• My, Our, His, Her, Their, Your এসব হলো pronoun এর উদাহরণ।
- কিন্তু এই শব্দ গুলোর পরে যখন noun বসে তখন এরা Possessive adjective রূপে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- সাধারণত এই শব্দ গুলো সবসময় noun এর আগে বসে তাই এরা adjective রূপে বিবেচিত।
 
• উল্লেখ্য যে,
- Possessive pronoun হিসেবে যখন এরা ব্যবহৃত হয় তখন এদের পরে noun প্রয়োজন হয় না।
- কিন্তু Possessive adjective এর পরে noun প্রয়োজন হয়।

• Linking verb/ Copulative verb: 
- যে সকল verb সাধারণত subject ও Subjective complement এর মধ্যে যোগসূত্র স্থাপন করে তাদেরকে Linking verb/ Copulative verb বলে।
- Linking verb-এর complement হিসেবে সাধারণত adjective বসে। 
- Turn, be, become, look feel, seem, remain, appear, sound, get, grow, etc. সাধারণত Linking verb হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 

• Sentence এ Linking Verb এর অবস্থান: 
→ Sub+ Linking verb+ adjective.
- She looks happy.

→ Sub+ linking verb+ preposition + adverb.
- She looks up happily.

→ Sub+ linking verb+ adverb+ adjective.
- Jolly is extraordinarily beautiful.

• প্রশ্নে উল্লিখিত বাক্যটির গঠন অনুযায়ী Linking verb (sound) এর পর adjective বসবে। 
- অপশনসমূহের মধ্যে শুধুমাত্র sweet হচ্ছে adjective. 

Complete Sentence - The music sounds sweet and soothing. 

Impassive (adjective) : 
English Meaning: Not showing or feeling any emotion.
Bangla Meaning: নির্বিকার; নিরাবেগ।

Example Sentence:
- He remained impassive despite the shocking news.
- The judge listened to the arguments with an impassive expression.

- Bangla meaning: সে ফাইনাল পরীক্ষায় খারাপ করেছে।

- এখানে verb "did" কে modify করতে adverb প্রয়োজন।
- সুতরাং, শূন্যস্থানে badly বসবে।

অন্যদিকে,
- Good, Bad হলো adjective তাই ভুল।

- আবার তুলনায় adverb হিসেবে 'Worst' ব্যবহৃত হলে  তার পূর্বে "the" বসে, কিন্তু এখানে the ব্যবহৃত হয়নি।

• Correct sentence: He is better than and superior to me.

• Better এবং superior হল comparative adjectives।
- এই ধরনের adjectives দুই বা তার বেশি বস্তুর তুলনা করার জন্য ব্যবহার করা হয়।
- Better এর সঙ্গে তুলনা করার জন্য "than" ব্যবহৃত হয়। কারণ, Good এর Comparative form হলো better.
- আর comparative degree এরপর than ব্যবহার করা হয়।
- Superior এর সঙ্গে তুলনা করার জন্য "to" ব্যবহৃত হয়।

- He is better and superior than me - "superior than" ভুল, কারণ superior এর সঙ্গে "t" হবে।
- He is better and superior to me - "better" এর সঙ্গে "than" প্রয়োজন।

Ignorant (adjective)
English Meaning: not having or showing much knowledge or information about things; not educated.
Bangla Meaning: অজ্ঞ; অবিদ্য; অনবহিত।

Example:
- Never make your students feel ignorant.
- At that time I was ignorant of events going on elsewhere.

• She spoke softly to avoid waking the baby. Here, "softly" is used as - Adverb of manner.

• প্রশ্নে উল্লেখিত বাক্যটির softly হলো Adverb of manner.
- কারণ, এখানে verb কে যদি 'how বা 'কিভাবে' দ্বারা প্রশ্ন করা হয় যে তারা কাজটি কিভাবে করেছে, তাহলে উত্তর পাওয়া যাবে softly.

• Adverb of manner:
- যে adverb কোন কিছু কিভাবে হয়/ হচ্ছে তা উল্লেখ করে তাকে Adverb of manner বলে। 
- এর দ্বারা কোন কাজ কেমনভাবে সংঘটিত হয় তা জানা যায়।
- Example: sadly, softly, steadily, slowly, soundly, swiftly, simply, suddenly, carefully, carelessly, easily, quickly, possibly, probably, luckily, fortunately, unfortunately, naturally, rightly, urgently, wrongly.

- Example Sentence: He spoke quickly during the meeting.

- এই ধরনের adverb কতোখানি, কি মাত্রায় এসব বোঝায়।
- It tells us about the intensity of something.
- Example: Almost, quite, very, much, fully, partly, wholly, completely, strongly, totally, entirely, deeply, greatly, poorly, half, enough, somewhat, altogether, too, little, a little, rather.

• Adverb of frequency:
- যে Adverb কোন কিছু করার বা কতো সময় পরপর হয় তা বোঝায় তাকে Adverb of frequency বলে।

​- First (one-নয়), Second (two-নয়), Third (three-নয়), Fourth (four-নয়) ইত্যাদি সংখ্যা গুলোকে বলে ordinal number।
