Adjective and Adverb

• I don't know why she left early. Here, the word "why" is a/ an - Adverb.

• এখানে ‘why’ শব্দটি left early -এ কাজটি কেন করেছিলে এই কারণ জানতে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।
- অর্থাৎ, ‘why’ এখানে verb এর (left) কারণ জিজ্ঞেস করছে, তাই এটি Adverb হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।

Verb এর সাথে ing যোগ হয়ে যদি adjective এর কাজ করে অর্থাৎ Verb ও adjective এর কাজ করে, তাহলে তাকে present participle বলে।
সংক্ষেপে: present participle = Verb+ing = adjective = Verb+adjective.
Participle দ্বারা চলমান sense বোঝায়।

- English meaning: not easily penetrated: not easily yielding to pressure.
- Bangla meaning: শক্ত; কঠিন।
- Example: This is a hard rock. (modifies a noun)

but – conjunction হিসেবে সবচেয়ে বেশি ব্যবহৃত হলেও এটি Preposition, Adverb, Pronoun হিসেবেও ব্যবহৃত হতে পারে।
Everyone but Jamil was present. (without অর্থে Preposition)
Life is but a walking shadow. (only অর্থে Adverb)
There is no mother but loves her child. (who not অর্থে Pronoun)

- Verb এর সাথে ing যোগ হয়ে যদি noun এর কাজ করে অর্থাৎ Verb ও noun এর কাজ করে, তাহলে তাকে Gerund বলে।

Of the two + plural noun + verb + the + comparative. অথবা Subject + verb + the + comparative + of the two + plural noun.

• যখন দুটি ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুর মধ্যে একটির দোষ/গুণ সম্পর্কে বলা হয়, তখন adjective -এর comparative degree -এর পূর্বে The বসে।
