- যে sentence-এ একটি Principal Clause এবং এক বা একাধিক Subordinate Clause থাকে, তাকে Complex Sentence বলে।
- Subordinate Clause এর শুরুতে সাধারণত:
if, though, although, as, because, since, so that, until, till, unless, when, why, who, which, where, how, before, after, whether, while ইত্যাদি থাকে।

যেমন,
- After the storm passed, we went outside.
- বাক্যটির Subordinate Clause- এর শুরুতে After থাকায় বাক্যটি Complex Sentence.

- Though he was warned, he still ventured into the restricted area.
- Since they had studied in advance, the students felt confident during the exam.
- Because the traffic was terrible, they arrived at the party much later than planned.
- Even if it rains, the outdoor wedding will proceed as scheduled.
