• Conjunction:
→ যে Part of speech দুই বা ততোধিক Word, Phrase বা Clause এর মধ্যে সংযোগ স্থাপন করে, তাকে Conjunction বলে।

• There are three basic types of conjunctions:
1. Coordinating conjunctions.
2. Subordinating Conjunctions.
3. Correlative Conjunctions.

নিচে বিস্তরভাবে আলোকপাত করা হলো।
1. Coordinating Conjunctions:
→ যা সমমানের দুইটি word, phrase বা clause এর মধ্যে সংযোগ স্থাপন করে।
যেমন:
- and,
- or,
- but, etc.

2. Subordinating Conjunctions:
→ যে Conjunction একটি clause এর শুরুতে বসে অন্য clause এর স্থান, কাল, ধরণ, মাত্রা, ইত্যাদি বুঝানোর জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়, তাকে Subordinating Conjunction বলে।
যেমন:
- when,
- how,
- if,
- lest, etc.

3. Correlative Conjunctions:
→ পরস্পর সম্পর্কযুক্ত জোড়ায় জোড়ায় ব্যবহৃত conjunction গুলোই Correlative Conjunctions.
যেমন:
- as…...as,
- either.…..or,
- not only…..but also, etc.

অন্যদিকে,
Interjection:
• যে শব্দগুলো আকস্মিক আবেগ, দৃঢ় অনুভূতি বা মনের ভাব প্রকাশ করে, তাদের Interjection বলে।
- Interjection ব্যাকরণগতভাবে বাক্যের অন্য কোনও অংশের সাথে সম্পর্কিত নয়।

Hurrah! We have won the match. Here, “Hurrah!” is an interjection.
- এখানে, “Hurrah!” দিয়ে Joy (আনন্দ) প্রকাশ করা হয়েছে।
