♦ কখনো a/an কোন Preposition এর পরিবর্তে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
যেমন-
The king went a hunting.

• এখানে 'king went on hunting' ছিল।
- কিন্তু 'on' ব্যবহার না করে এখানে 'a' ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে।

• তখন এ a/an কে বলা হয় Disguised Preposition (ছদ্মবেশী Preposition)
• তাই 'parts of speech' identification এর ক্ষেত্রে আমরা 'a' কে Preposition ছিসেবে identify করবো।

♦ Abbreviation এর উচ্চারণ করার সময় প্রতিটি অক্ষর আলাদা আলাদা উচ্চারণ করতে হয়।
- এক্ষেত্রে যদি উচ্চারণে প্রথম ধ্বনি Vowel এর মত হয় তাহলে an বসবে।
- আর যদি প্রথম ধ্বনি Consonant এর মত হয়, তাহলে a বসবে।
- যেমন- an MA, a, BA, an MPhil, a PhD

Complete sentence: To qualify for the research position, candidates must hold at least an MPhil in their respective fields.

♦ Felicitous (adjective)
English Meaning: Well-chosen or suited to the circumstances.
Bangla Meaning: (আনুষ্ঠানিক) (শব্দ, মন্তব্য ইত্যাদি প্রসঙ্গে) সুনির্বাচিত; সুখপূর্ণ; মনোরম।

Synonyms: Suitable (উপযোগী), Appropriate (যথাযথ), Relevant (প্রাসঙ্গিক), Palatable (সুস্বাদু), Dulcet (মধু)। 
Antonyms: Inappropriate (অনুপযোপী), Unfortunate (দুর্ভাগ্যজনক), Unwelcome (অবাঞ্চিত), Disagreeable (অসম্মত)।

Other Forms: 
- Felicitously (adverb);
- Felicitate [ফালিসিটেইট্] (verb transitive) felicitate somebody (on/upon something) (আনুষ্ঠানিক) অভিনন্দিত করা।
- Felicitation [ফালিসিটেইশন] (noun) অভিনন্দন; অভিনন্দিতকরণ।

Example Sentence:
1. Conceptually that was quite accurate, even if it was not the most felicitous choice of words.
2. The combination of domestic arrangements with professional ambitions was not a felicitous one.

Options,
- Avert (এড়ানো)
- Retain (ধরে রাখা)

♦ He cooked a delicious dinner, and the enticing aroma filled the entire kitchen. Here 'and' is a Coordinating conjunction.

• Conjunction: 
- যে Part of speech দুই বা ততোধিক Word, Phrase বা Clause এর মধ্যে সংযোগ স্থাপন করে, তাকে Conjunction বলে।

• There are three basic types of conjunctions:
1. Coordinating conjunctions:
- যা সমমানের দুইটি word, phrase বা clause এর মধ্যে সংযোগ স্থাপন করে।
যেমনঃ and, or, but, etc…

2. Subordinating Conjunctions:
- যে Conjunction একটি clause এর শুরুতে বসে অন্য clause এর স্থান, কাল, ধরণ, মাত্রা, ইত্যাদি বুঝানোর জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়, তাকে Subordinating Conjunction বলে।
যেমনঃ when, how, if, lest, etc…

3. Correlative Conjunctions:
- পরস্পর সম্পর্কযুক্ত জোড়ায় জোড়ায় ব্যবহৃত conjunction গুলোই Correlative Conjunctions.
যেমনঃ as ….. as; either ….. or; not only …. but also; etc.

• He cooked a delicious dinner, and the enticing aroma filled the entire kitchen.
- এই বাক্যে 'He cooked a delicious dinner' ও 'the enticing aroma filled the entire kitchen' দুটি সমমানের clause এর মধ্যে সংযোগ স্থাপন করছে 'and'
- তাই এটি Coordinating conjunctions.

• Double Conjunction বলে কোনো conjunction নেই।

♦ He stumbled upon an old bookshop while wandering through the narrow streets of the city. The underlined word is an example of - Double Preposition.

• Double Preposition:
 - এই ধরনের preposition গুলো দুইটি অন্য  preposition এর সমন্বয়ে সৃষ্টি।
- কিন্তু তারা ঠিক একটি preposition এর মতো কাজ করে।

- অপশনের upon হচ্ছে, মূলত: up+ on এই দুটি Preposition এর সমন্বিত রূপ।

অপর দিকে,
• Compound Preposition:
- একটি preposition আর একটি non preposition মিলে তৈরী হয় এগুলো।
- Example: across, before, beside.
- across= on + cross, before=by + fore, beside= by+ side.

• Disguised Preposition:
- কিছু কিছু ক্ষেত্রে on, in ও of -এর পরিবর্তে a এবং o ব্যবহৃত হয় এবং word - এর শুরুতে বসে।
- এরূপ preposition হল Disguised preposition বা ছদ্মবেশী
- যেমন: a hunting, ashore, ahead = a = on অর্থাৎ এখানে on পরিবর্তে a ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।

• Simple Preposition
- যে preposition গুলো একটি word দিয়ে গঠিত সেগুলো Simple Preposition.
- যেমন: on, in, to etc.

• In front of the museum, a group of tourists gathered, waiting for the doors to open. Here the phrase preposition is - in front of.

• Phrase preposition
- Phrase Preposition: কয়েকটি word গুচ্ছগতভাবে Preposition এর কাজ করে।
- যেমন - in front of, because of, according to ইত্যাদি।

♦ The alarm clock went off when the sun began to rise, signaling the start of a new day. Here 'when' is - Subordinating Conjunctions
- Subordinating conjunction একটি Dependent Clause এবং একটি Independent Clause-কে যুক্ত করে।
- Unless, before, until ইত্যাদি শব্দগুলো Subordinating conjunction.

• Conjunction: 
- যে Part of speech দুই বা ততোধিক Word, Phrase বা Clause এর মধ্যে সংযোগ স্থাপন করে, তাকে Conjunction বলে।

♦ Relative/ Conjunctive Adverb
- এগুলো Conjunction এর মত দুটি Clause কে জোড়া লাগায়, পাশাপাশি Verb কে Modify করে।
• I know where he lives in.

• এখানে where, 'live' verb কে মডিফাই করছে তাই এটি Adverb of plache,
- এর পাশাপাশি এটি 'I know' clause এর সাথে 'he lives in' কে জোড়া লাগিয়েছে তাই এটি conjunction এর ও কাজ করছে।
- তাই এটি Conjunction ও Adverb দুটোই সঠিক।
- এগুলোকে বলা হয় Conjunctive Adverb.

♦ In order that/ So that / that / so = যাতে
• He works hard so that/ in order that/ that/ so he can pass.

Options,
• If, in case, provided, provided that, providing that = যদি,
- Unless = যদি না।

• সুতরাং, অর্থ বিবেচনা করে দেখা যাচ্ছে শূন্যস্থানে in order that  বসলে বাক্যের অর্থ পূর্ণতা পাবে।
Complete sentence: She studied hard in order that she could pass the challenging exam.

• As if/ As though  'যেন' অর্থে ব্যবহার হয়।

• অবাস্তব বাক্যে As if/ As though এর Sentence Structure:

1. As if / as though এর পূর্বে present indefinite tense থাকলে As if / as though এর পরে past indefinite হয়।
এবং be verb থাকলে সবসময় were হয়।

2. As if / as though এর পূর্বে Past indefinite tense থাকলে As if / as though এর পরে past perfect হয়।

Options,
- therefore: সেই কারণে; সুতরাং।
- but: শুধু; কেবল; মাত্র
- yet: এই পর্যন্ত; এখন পর্যন্ত

• সুতরাং, অর্থ বিবেচনা করে দেখা যাচ্ছে শূন্যস্থানে as if  বসলে বাক্যের অর্থ পূর্ণতা পাবে।
Complete sentence: She felt as if all her worries had gone.

♦ Even if/ Even though
- এর অর্থ 'এমনকি যদিও'
•You must pay even if/ even though you are poor.

Options,
- lest: যাতে না-ঘটে 
- what if: কী হবে যদি/ কী হত যদি
- whether:কি না

• সুতরাং, অর্থ বিবেচনা করে দেখা যাচ্ছে শূন্যস্থানে even if  বসলে বাক্যের অর্থ পূর্ণতা পাবে।
- Complete sentence: You must pay even if you are poor.
