- এটি উদ্দেশ্য বা purpose অর্থে ব্যবহার করা হয়।
- এর অর্থ হলো যাতে, যেন।
- so that এর পর এমন একটি Clause বসে যা কোন একটি উদ্দেশ্য (we may live) প্রকাশ করে। যা করা কর্তার (we) উদ্দেশ্য।

• A number of/ A large number of/ A small number of/ a great number of যুক্ত বাক্যের গঠন হচ্ছে:
• Structure: A number of/ A large number of/ A small number of/ a great number of + plural Noun + plural verb.
- যেহেতু প্রশ্নে উল্লিখিত বাক্যে A number of আছে তাই এরপর plural noun 'books ' এবং plural verb হবে।
- তাই, এখানে "are" ব্যবহার হবে।

• অন্যদিকে,
• The Number of + Plural Noun + Singular Verb.

• Than any other/ all other যুক্ত Comparative degree কে Positive degree তে রূপান্তরের নিয়ম:
- Positive degree এ sentence এর শুরুতে No other বসে।

- as + Comparative degree এর positive form বসে + as বসে।

• And দ্বারা যুক্ত sentence এ যদি subject একই ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুকে বুঝায় তবে তাদের verb ও pronoun singular হয়।
- Example: The Headmaster and Secretary is present in the meeting.

• আবার, And দ্বারা যুক্ত sentence এ যদি subject একই ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুকে না বুঝিয়ে ভিন্ন দুটি ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুকে বুঝায় তখন তাদের verb ও pronoun plural হয়। 
- Sub দুটি ব্যক্তি এটি বুঝার সহজ উপায় হলো Subject বা Noun এর পূর্বে Article আছে কিনা তা লক্ষ্য রাখা।
- Noun দুটি ভিন্ন হলে noun দুটির আগে the থাকবে।
-Example: The Headmaster and the Secretary are present in the meeting.

• And দ্বারা যুক্ত হয়েও যদি noun-গুলি একই অর্থ প্রকাশ করে তখন verb টি singular হয়ে থাকে। 
- Example: Bread and butter is my favourite breakfast. 

• প্রদত্ত sentence টিতে The captain and the manager দ্বারা দুটি ভিন্ন ভিন্ন ব্যক্তিকে বুঝাছে।
- কারণ captain এবং manager এর আগে Article (the) ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে এবং এখানে plural verb বসবে।
- sentence এর শেষে yesterday's team meeting থাকায় বুঝা যাচ্ছে এটা past indefinite tense কে বুঝাছে।
- তাই এখানে are না হয়ে were বসবে।

• দুটি Noun এর মধ্যে তুলনা করার সময় পূর্বের Noun এর পুনরাবৃত্তি পরিহার করতে Uncountable Noun এর পরিবর্তে that of এবং Plural Countable Noun এর পরিবর্তে those of ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- অন্যভাবে বলা যায়, কোনো Comparative sentence এর প্রথম অংশ যদি The + Noun + of + Noun হয়, তবে verb এর পরের অংশ হবে than + that/ those of হবে।

• literacy এখানে uncountable noun.
- তাই, Noun এর পুনরাবৃত্তি পরিহার করতে Uncountable Noun এর পরিবর্তে that of ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।

• উল্লিখিত বাকি অপশনগুলো,
(ক) Sentence টিতে Comparative sentence এর প্রথম অংশের নিয়ম অনুসারে The + Noun + of + Noun (The literacy rate of Japan) হয়েছে, তাই দ্বিতীয় অংশে than এরপর that of হবে। কারণ, The literacy rate of Japan দ্বারা Uncountable Noun কে বুঝায়।

• Explanation:
- Preposition এর পরে সবসময় Pronoun এর object form বসে।
- প্রদত্ত অপশনে object form হলো- you and me.
- আর একাধিক object form বসলে, অর্থাৎ First person, Second person, Third person এর Pronoun বা Noun যদি একই বাক্যে ব্যবহার করতে হয় তাহলে প্রথমে 2nd person, পরে 3rd person এবং অবশেষে 1st person বসে।
- অর্থাৎ, সংক্ষেপে (231- order).
- কিন্তু দোষ/ অপরাধ স্বীকার করার ক্ষেত্রে (123- order) ব্যবহার করতে হয়।

- Subject এরপরে প্রথম too এর জায়গায় so বসে।
- that বসে।
- প্রথম subject টি আবারো বসে।
- tense অনুযায়ী can not / could not বসে।
- to উঠে যায় ।
- বাকী অংশ বসে।

• Simple sentence: Sium is too weak to run. 
• Complex sentence: Sium is so weak that he can not run.

• Complete sentence: The students jeered at the teacher when she announced extra homework.
- Bangla meaning: ছাত্ররা শিক্ষিকাকে বিদ্রূপ করলো যখন তিনি অতিরিক্ত হোমওয়ার্ক ঘোষণা করলেন।

• Jeer (at somebody):
- English meaning: To laugh at somebody or shout rude remarks at them to show that you do not respect them.
- Bangla meaning: উপহাস/ বিদ্রূপ করা; টিটকারি দেওয়া; হাসিঠাট্টা করা।

• Appropriate preposition এর ক্ষেত্রে,
- Jeer এর সাথে 'ঠাট্টা করা' অর্থ বুঝাতে at বসে।
- এই বাক্যটির ক্ষেত্রে at বসালে বাক্যটির অর্থ পরিপূর্ণ হয়।
- তাই এই বাক্যে preposition হিসেবে at বসবে।

ক) Everyone should mind their manners.
- ভুল। "Everyone" singular pronoun, তাই proper possessive হিসেবে "his/ her" হবে। their নয়।

খ) Five liters of water are enough for the trip.
- ভুল। একক সমষ্টি বুঝাতে অর্থ, সময়, দূরত্ব এর রকক দেখতে Plural হলেও Singular verb নেয়। তাই Five liters of water এরপর is হবে।

ঘ) Each students are responsible for their homework.
- ভুল। Every এবং Singular Noun একত্রিত হয়ে একটি Singular Subject তৈরি করে, তাই Verb ও Singular হয়।

- এটি Third Conditional Sentence এর নিয়ম অনুসারে sentence টি সঠিক।

• Third Condition এর নিয়ম অনুসারে:
- If বা Had যুক্ত দুটি clause থাকে। 
- দুটি clause এর যেকোন একটিতে If/ had দিয়ে clause টি শুরু হবে।
- If বা Had যুক্ত clause টি Past Perfect Tense হয়। 
- ২য় clause টি Past perfect Conditional (would have, might have, should have, could have) বসে।
- Verb এর Past Participle form বসে।

- Coordinating Conjunctions হলো এক ধরনের linking words. 
- এরা সাধারণত বাক্যের মাঝে বসে বাক্যের দুটি স্বাধীন অংশকে সংযুক্ত করে।
- কয়েকটি Coordinating Conjunctions হলো- and (এবং), but (কিন্তু), so (তাহলে), or (অথবা), for (কারণ), nor (এবং না), yet (তবুও), ইত্যাদি।
