• The Canonization:
- 'The Canonization' is a poem written by John Donne.
- কবিতাটি ১৫৯০ সালে লেখা এবং ১৬৩৩ সালে প্রকাশিত হয়। 
- One of the most important elements of ‘The Canonization’ is the use of an extended metaphor, known as conceit.
- ‘For God's sake hold your tongue, and let me love’ এই লাইনটি দিয়েই কবিতাটি শুরু হয় যেখানে কবি তার শ্রোতাকে উদ্দেশ্যে করে বলে যে they need to be quiet and let him “love - যা অতি বিখ্যাত একটি উক্তি।

- এটি William Shakespeare -এর অন্যতম জনপ্রিয় ও প্রেমপূর্ণ সনেট।
- Shakespeare এই সনেটে প্রিয়জনকে গ্রীষ্মের দিনের সঙ্গে তুলনা করে বলেন— "তোমাকে কি গ্রীষ্মের দিনের সঙ্গে তুলনা করব? না, তুমি তার চেয়েও সুন্দর এবং শান্ত।"
