সাধারণত Dependent clause টিকে it দ্বারা replace করা গেলে যদি অর্থবোধক বাক্য তৈরি হয় তাহলে সেটি noun clause হয়।

যে sub-ordinate clause কোনো noun/pronoun এর পরে বসে ঐ noun/pronoun কে modify করে তাকে Adjective clause/Relative clause বলে। Adjective clause সর্বদাই noun/pronoun এর পরে বসে। সাধারণত Noun clause এবং Adjective clause একই ধরনের linker/connective দ্বারা শুরু হয়‌। পার্থক্য হচ্ছে adjective clause এর পূর্বে antecedent থাকে কিন্তু Noun clause এর পূর্বে antecedent থাকে না। যেমন- The news that gave me yesterday is false.
N.B. who এবং which দ্বারা গঠিত clause টি যদি কারণ (cause) বা উদ্দেশ্য (purpose) বুঝায় তবে তা adverbial clause হবে। e.g. 1. My brother who is ill cannot come. (who = because he) 2. I have bought a dog which would guard my house at night. (which = in order that it).

Noun Clause বাক্যে একটি subject বা একটি object-এর স্থানে noun হিসেবে কাজ করে। এখানে subject-এর স্থানে আছে।

‘in great difficulties’ phrase টি ‘A man’ কে modify করেছে, তাই তা adjective phrase.

সাধারণত Wh question দিয়ে প্রশ্ন করার সময় Wh question- এর পরে এবং subject-এর আগে সাহায্যকারী বা Auxiliary verb ব্যবহৃত হয়। তাই প্রশ্নটি হবে- How often do you exercise?

বাক্যটি comparative degree এর তাই more carefully যথার্থ।

Books শব্দটি countable noun, তাই এর পূর্বে many বসবে। এছাড়াও যেহেতু বাক্যটি positive degree এর, তাই শূন্যস্থানে যথার্থভাবে as many books as বসবে।

Complex sentence: I want a car that I can drive.
Simple Sentence: I want a car to drive.

Passive voice এ object টি subject position এ বসে। গঠনটি হয় এরূপ Object এর subjective form + auxiliary verb + verb in past participle. যেমন- He is not known here, Rice is eaten by me.
