• “Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will to strive to seek, to find, and not to yield” 
-  লাইনটি ভিক্টোরিয়ান যুগের অন্যতম কবি  Alfred Tennyson এর Ulysses কবিতা হতে চয়ন কৃত।

• Ulysses, blank-verse poem by Alfred, Lord Tennyson, written in 1833 and published in the two-volume collection Poems (1842).
-  হোমারের কাব্য Iliad থেকে অনুপ্রাণিত হয়ে তিনি এই কবিতাটি লিখেছিলেন।

• এই কবিতার আরেকটি বিখ্যাত উক্তি হচ্ছে -
"I will never rest from travels
I will drink life to the lees." 

• Alfred Tennyson:
- তিনি হলেন Victorian Period এর অন্যতম কবি যাকে এই যুগের Chief representative হিসাবে ধরা হয়।
- তিনি তাঁর melodious language এর জন্য অনেক প্রসিদ্ধ এবং তাঁকে Lyric Poet বলা হয়ে থাকে।

• উল্লেখ্য যে, Ulyssess নামে ইংরেজি সাহিত্যে আরো একটি সাহিত্যকর্ম রয়েছে এবং সেটি হচ্ছে James Joyce এর লেখা একটি Novel.

• The Second Coming হলো  William Butler Yeats লিখিত একটি কবিতা।
-  It describes a deeply mysterious and powerful alternative to the Christian idea of the Second Coming—Jesus's prophesied return to the Earth as a savior announcing the Kingdom of Heaven.
- It is a two-stanza poem in blank verse with its imagery of swirling chaos and terror, prophesies the cataclysmic end of an era.

• William Butler Yeats: 
- তিনি একজন Irish poet, dramatist এবং prose writer.
- He is one of the greatest English-language poets of the 20th century.
- He received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1923.
 W.B Yeats কে Ireland এর National poet  বলা হয়ে থাকে।
- একজন কবি এবং নাট্যকার হিসাবে, তার সাহিত্যকর্ম গুলো আয়ারল্যান্ডের ঐতিহ্য এবং রাজনীতি দ্বারা প্রভাবিত হয়েছিলেন
- নিজের জন্মভূমির প্রতি তার ভালোবাসার প্রকাশ তার বিভিন্ন কবিতায় লক্ষ্য করা যায়।.

• Fitzwilliam Darcy, is the male protagonist in Jane Austen's most famous novel 'Pride and Prejudice'.
- He was the 'beloved' of Elizabeth Bennet - the female protagonist.

•  Pride and Prejudice হচ্ছে Jane Austen রচিত একটি romantic novel.
- এটি 1813 সালে তিনটি ভলিউমে প্রকাশিত হয়। 
-  বুদ্ধিদীপ্ত উপমা এবং চরিত্রগুলোর চমৎকার উপস্থাপনা ও বর্ননার কারনে  English Literature এ এই novel টি একটি classic হিসেবে বিবেচিত।
- এই novel টিতে Elizabeth Bennet, the daughter of a country gentleman, and Fitzwilliam Darcy, a rich aristocratic landowner এর মধ্যে ক্রমান্বয়ে গড়ে উঠা প্রেমের সম্পর্ক তুলে ধরা হয়েছে।

• 'Tamburlaine the Great' is a great tragedy written by Christopher Marlowe.
- Christopher Marlowe রচিত প্রথম play হচ্ছে এটি। 
- এই ট্র্যাজিডিটি দুই খন্ডে বিভক্ত এবং প্রতিটি 5 acts বিশিষ্ট।
- এটি ১৫৯০ সালে প্রথম প্রকাশিত হয়।
-  মুঘল সম্রাট বাবরের পূর্ব পুরুষ তৈমুর লংয়ের জীবনী নিয়ে লেখা। তৈমুর লংয়ের নৃশংসতা, তার ক্ষমতার উত্থান এবং তার ও তার সাম্রাজ্যের রহস্যময় পতনের কাহিনী নিয়ে লেখা হয়েছে 'Tamburlaine the Great'.

• Christopher Marlowe (1564-1593): 
- Christopher Marlowe Elizabeth যুগের বিখ্যাত কবি ও নাট্যকার।
- Shakespeare এর আগে তিনিই ছিলেন English drama এর সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ লেখক।
- He is noted especially for his establishment of dramatic blank verse.
- তার বিখ্যাত tragedy নাটক সমূহ হচ্ছে : The Jew of Malta, Tamburlaine The Great, Edward-II, Doctor Faustus etc. 
- তিনি একজন 'University wit' ছিলেন।
