আরবি শব্দ : বাংলায় ব্যবহৃত আরবি শব্দগুলােকে দুটি প্রধান ভাগে ভাগ করা যায়
(১) ধর্মসংক্রান্ত শব্দ : আল্লাহ্, ইসলাম, ঈমান, ওজু, কোরবানি, কুরআন, কিয়ামত, গােসল, জান্নাত, জাহান্নাম, তওবা, তসবি, জাকাত, হজ, হাদিস, হারাম, হালাল ইত্যাদি।
(২) প্রশাসনিক ও সাংস্কৃতিক শব্দ :আদালত, আলেম, ইনসান, ঈদ, উকিল, ওজর, এজলাস, এলেম,কানুন, কলম, কিতাব, কেচ্ছা, খারিজ, গায়েব, দোয়াত, নগদ, বাকি, মহকুমা, মুন্সফ, মােক্তার, রায় ইত্যাদি।

শুদ্ধ বানানটি হল ‘যদ্যপি’ (অব্যয়) {(তৎসম বা সংস্কৃত) যদি+অপি}।

একটি সমাপিকা ও একটি অসমাপিকা ক্রিয়া যদি একত্রে বিশেষ বা সম্প্রসারিত অর্থ প্রকাশ করে, তবে তাকে যৌগিক ক্রিয়া বলে। যেমন-
তাগিত দেওয়া অর্থে : ঘটনাটা শুনে রাখ।
নিরন্তরতা অর্থে : তিনি বলতে লাগলেন।
কার্যসমাপ্তি অর্থে : ছেলে মেয়েরা শুয়ে পড়ল।
আকস্মিকতা অর্থে : সাইরেন বেজে উঠল।
অভ্যস্ততা অর্থে : শিক্ষায় মন সংস্কারমুক্ত হয়ে থাকে।
অনুমোদন অর্থে : এখন যেতে পার।

যে পদ নাম বিশেষণ অথবা ক্রিয়া বিশেষণকে বিশেষিত করে, তাকে বিশেষণীয় বিশেষণ বলে। যথা-
নাম বিশেষণের বিশেষণ : সামান্য একটু দুধ দাও।
ক্রিয়া-বিশেষণের বিশেষণ : রকেট অতি দ্রুত চলে।

উপকূল = কূলের সমীপে, অর্থাৎ, সামীপ্য অর্থে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।

তাঁর একমাত্র উপন্যাস বোবা কাহিনী। (সৌমিত্র শেখরের বই অনুসারে) তবে, মোহসীনা নাজিলা রচিত শীকর বাংলা ভাষা ও সাহিত্য ও আরও কয়েকটা রেফারেন্স অনুসারে, জসীম উদ্দীনের জীবদ্দশায় প্রকাশিত একমাত্র উপন্যাস - বোবা কাহিনী।
১৯৯০ সালে তার অপ্রকাশিত লেখার পান্ডুলিপি থেকে দ্বিতীয় উপন্যাস - ''বউ টুবানীর ফুল'' প্রকাশিত হয়।

Birds eye view means a situation which is viewed from high altitude or from a certain distance and from such height we can see a generalized view.
