• কিছু Verb আছে যেগুলোর পর যদি আরেকটি Verb ব্যবহার করতে হয়, তাহলে Infinitive (to+verb) ব্যবহার করতে হবে,
- Verb এর সাথে Verb+ing ব্যবহার করা যাবে না।

• সাধারণত to এর পর Verb এর base form হলেও কিছু কিছু শব্দগুচ্ছ সমূহের পর verb+ing হয়।

• Correct Sentence: After driving for twenty miles, he suddenly realized that had been driving in the wrong direction. 
- That যুক্ত sentence এ Main Clause টি Past tense হলে পরের Clause টি Past Perfect Tense হয়।

অন্যদিকে, 
(ক) One of যদি subject হিসেবে ব্যবহার হলে এরপরে সব সময় Plural Noun বসে এবং 'One' singular হওয়ায় Verb Singular হবে।
Correct Sentence: One of the crucial problems of the day is population explosion.

(গ) Article এর নিয়ম অনুসারে "A approaching danger" এর পরিবর্তে "An approaching danger" হবে।
Correct Sentence: Mice have a keen sense of smell and can quickly detect, an approaching danger.

(ঘ) Hardly had থাকলে পরের অংশে when (not than) ব্যবহার করা হয়। তাই than এর পরিবর্তে when বসবে।
Correct Sentence: Hardly had he entered the office when he realized that he had forgotten his wallet.

• Correct Sentence: If we had checked the weather forecast before leaving for the trip, we wouldn’t have been stuck in the middle of nowhere during a heavy storm with no shelter or food.
- Third Condition এর নিয়মুযায়ী:
- If বা Had যুক্ত দুটি clause থাকে। 
- দুটি clause এর যেকোন একটিতে If/ had দিয়ে clause টি শুরু হবে।
- If বা Had যুক্ত clause টি Past Perfect Tense হয়। 
- ২য় clause টি Past perfect Conditional (would have, might have, should have, could have) বসে।
- Verb এর Past Participle form বসে।

অন্যদিকে,
- (ক) Sentence টিতে Third Conditional এর নিয়ম অনুসারে 1st Clause এ Subject (we) এরপর had বসবে।
- (খ) Sentence টিতে Third Conditional এর নিয়ম অনুসারে 2nd Clause এ wouldn’t have এরপর been বসবে।
- (গ) Sentence টিতে Third Conditional এর নিয়ম অনুসারে 2nd Clause এ Subject (we) এরপর wouldn’t বসবে।

• Would you mind যুক্ত Sentence এ mind এর পরে একটি verb বসে।
- Verb এর সাথে ing যোগ করতে হবে।
- অর্থবাচক object একটি ব্যবহার করতে হবে।

Correct Sentence: Would you mind taking a cup of tea?

• প্রদত্ত Sentence টি একটি Passive Voice এ রয়েছে।
 - Let দিয়ে Passive voice এর বাক্যটি শুরু হবে।
- Active voice এর Object টি Passive voice এ Subject হিসেবে বসে।
- be বসে
- মূল verb এর Past Participle Form বসে।
- অনেক ক্ষেত্রে Active Voice এর Subject কে Object করার সময় by ছাড়া অন্য Preparation বসে। যেমন: to, at, on, with, for ইত্যাদি।
- given এরপর to বসে।
- Active voice এর Subject টি Passive Voice এ Object হিসেবে বসে।

• বস্তুবাচক বা প্রাণীবাচক এর ক্ষেত্রে সাধারণত Pronoun that অথবা which বসে।
- ব্যক্তির জন্য Pronoun Who অথবা Who এর Objective form Whom ব্যবহার করা হয়।
- প্রদত্ত Sentence টিতে the book একটি বস্তুবাচক পদার্থ যার সাথে who এ ব্যবহার না হয়ে that অথবা which বসবে।
- তাই Sentence টিতে who ভুল। 

Correct Sentence: This is the book that/ which I was telling you about.

• As if / As though যুক্ত Sentence এর পূর্বে Past Indefinite Tense থাকলে as if/as though এর পরে Past Perfect Tense হয়।
- তাই Sentence টিতে নিয়ম অনুসারে কোন error নেই।

• Would that দিয়ে sentence শুরু হলে Subject এরপর could বসে এবং verb এর present form বসে।
- Would that দিয়ে অবাস্তব ইচ্ছা বা সম্ভাবনা প্রকাশ করা হয়।

• Correct Sentence: The clouds parted slowly, revealing the first rays of sunlight after the storm.
- Intransitive verb হলো অকর্ম ক্রিয়া বা verb যার শেষে object থাকে না।
- প্রদত্ত বাক্য parted এরপর adverb (slowly) আছে এবং এর কোনো object নেই। তাই এটি Intransitive sentence.
- সাধারণত verb এরপর কোন word না থাকলে অথবা verb এরপর adverb থাকলে অথবা verb এরপর শুধু preposition থাকলে verb টি অবশ্যই intransitive verb হবে।

অন্যদিকে,
(খ) Gerund হল এমন একটি শব্দ যা verb + ing যুক্ত হয়ে Noun এর মতো কাজ করে।
- Gerund-এর ব্যবহার:
- Subject হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হলে।
- Object হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হলে।
- Preposition-এর object হিসেবে বসে।
- Verb এর Complement হিসেবে বসে।
• প্রদত্ত Sentence টিতে 'Run' (Verb) এর সাথে ing যুক্ত হয়ে Noun (Subject হিসেবে) এর মতো কাজ করবে অর্থাৎ Noun এর কাজ করে তখন তাকে Gerund বলে।
Correct Sentence: Running every morning keeps me healthy. 

(গ) "Feel" শব্দটি present participle হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে, কিন্তু এটি ঠিকমতো subject এর সাথে সম্পর্কিত হচ্ছে না।
- Feel একটি Base verb (মূল ক্রিয়া), যা এখানে Present Participle হিসেবে কাজ করতে পারে না।
- Present participle ব্যবহার করার জন্য verb এর ing ফর্ম প্রয়োজন, যেমন "feeling"।
- "Feeling tired" একটি adjective phrase হিসেবে কাজ করছে, যেখানে এটি "she" এর ক্লান্তি বর্ণনা করছে, এবং বাক্যটির পরবর্তী অংশের সাথে যুক্ত হচ্ছে।
Correct Sentence: Feeling tired, she decided to take a nap.

• Correct Sentence: The students of Bangladesh are more meritorious than those of the USA.

• দুটি Noun এর মধ্যে তুলনা করার সময় পূর্বের Noun এর পুনরাবৃত্তি পরিহার করতে Countable Noun এর পরিবর্তে that of এবং Uncountable Noun এর পরিবর্তে those of ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- অন্যভাবে বলা যায়, কোনো Comparative sentence এর প্রথম অংশ যদি The + Noun + of + Noun হয়, তবে verb এর পরের অংশ হবে than + that/those of হবে।
- Noun যদি Countable হয় তবে that আর Noun যদি Uncountable হয় তবে those এবং বাকি noun টি।

অন্যদিকে,
(ক) Sentence টিতে The students of Bangladesh, Uncountable Noun বা Plural Noun কে বুঝায় তাই that of এর পরিবর্তে those of হবে।
(গ) Comparative Degree তে Than হলে more এবং the হলে most ব্যবহার করতে হয়।
(ঘ) Sentence টিতে The students of Bangladesh, Uncountable Noun বা Plural Noun কে বুঝায় তাই এখানে is পরিবর্তে are হবে।

• Correct Sentence: The students of Bangladesh are more meritorious than those of the USA.
