Meaning: বিস্মরণশীল।
Example: Being forgetful of the time, she missed the bus and had to wait for the next one.

• Appropriate preposition এর ক্ষেত্রে,
- Forgetful এর সাথে 'বিস্মরণশীল' অর্থ বুঝাতে of বসে।
- এই বাক্যটির ক্ষেত্রে of বসালে বাক্যটির অর্থ পরিপূর্ণ হয়।

♦ Lament for/over:
Meaning: অনুতাপ করা। 

• Appropriate preposition এর ক্ষেত্রে,

♦ Compound Sentence (যৌগিক বাক্য)
• At least দুটি Clauses থাকবে এবং সেই Clause কেই হতে হবে Independent Clauses.
• Co-ordinate Conjunction যেমন and, or, but, for, yet, so, therefore, otherwise, else ইত্যাদি দ্বারা যুক্ত থাকে।

যেমন-
• Work hard and you can prosper in life.
• Do or die.
• He is absent, for he is ill.
• Do the work, else I will punish you.

• He is absent, for he is ill.
- for অর্থ এখানে 'কারণ'।
- for একটি Co-ordinate Conjunction, আর Co-ordinate Conjunction দিয়ে যখন দুটি Clause যুক্ত হয় তখন তাকে বলা হয় Compound Sentence.

♦ Vie with
Meaning: পাল্লা দেওয়া/ প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বিতা করা।

• Appropriate preposition এর ক্ষেত্রে,
- Vie এর সাথে ' প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বিতা করা' অর্থ বুঝাতে with বসে।
- এই বাক্যটির ক্ষেত্রে with বসালে বাক্যটির অর্থ পরিপূর্ণ হয়।
- তাই এই বাক্যে preposition হিসেবে with বসবে।

Complete sentence: The two talented musicians constantly vie with each other for the top spot in the charts.

♦ Sentence এর Transformation এর ক্ষেত্রে যে কাজ গুলো করতে হয়,

• Add (যোগ করা),
• Deduct (বাদ দেয়া)
• Retain (যেভাবে আছে সেভাবে রাখা)

• অর্থাৎ - বাক্যের ধরন অনুযায়ী Preposition/Conjunction একটা যোগ ও একটা বিয়োগ করতে হবে,
- এবং ২টি Clause এর মধ্যে ১টি Clause যেভাবে আছে সেভাবে রেখে দিতে হবে।

• Complex to Simple:

• Complex এ when থাকলে তা যদি সালের নাম বোঝায় তখন 
- Simple করার সময় এর when এর পরিবর্তে In বসাতে হবে
- তারপর পরের clause টি যেভাবে আছে সেভাবে বসালে হবে।

Complex: When it was 1971, Bangladesh became independent. 
Simple: In 1971, Bangladesh became independent.

♦ Complex to simple,

• Complex Sentence এ ‍as soon as থাকলে
- Simple Sentence এ as soon as এর পরিবর্তে on/ at the very moment of (সাথে সাথেই) বসে।
- On + Verb + ing Or, At the very moment of + Verb + ing
- এরপর as soon as যুক্ত clause এর বাকি অংশ বসে।
- প্রথম subject টি দ্বিতীয় clause এর subject হিসাবে বসে, এবং দ্বিতীয় clause এর বাকি অংশ বসে।

Complex: As soon as the thief saw the police, he ran away.
Simple: At the very moment of seeing the police, he ran away.

Or 
Simple: On seeing the police, he ran away.

• উল্লেখ্য যে অপশনে 'At the very moment seeing the police, he ran away.' আছে, কিন্তু যদি এখানে এর পরিবর্তে 'At the very moment of seeing the police, he ran away.' থাকত তবে সঠিক উত্তর হতো দুটোই অর্থাৎ Both A + B

♦ Complex sentence: 
- যে sentence এ একটি Principal clause এবং এক বা একাধিক Subordinate clause থাকে, তাকে Complex sentence বলে। 
- Complex sentence এর subordinate clause এর শুরুতে সাধারণত if, though, although, as, because, since, so that, that, until, till, unless, when, why, who, which, where, how, before, after, whether, while বসে।

সুতরাং, নিয়মানুযায়ী - Though he is rich, he is polite. হচ্ছে complex sentence.

♦ Void of 
Meaning:  হীন; শূন্য; বর্জিত।

• Appropriate preposition এর ক্ষেত্রে,
- Void এর সাথে 'হীন' অর্থ বুঝাতে of বসে।
- এই বাক্যটির ক্ষেত্রে of বসালে বাক্যটির অর্থ পরিপূর্ণ হয়।
- তাই এই বাক্যে preposition হিসেবে of বসবে।

Complete sentence: He's completely void of charm as far as I can see.

♦ Imperative Sentence (অনুজ্ঞাসূচক বাক্য)
- যে Sentence দ্বারা কোন আদেশ, উপদেশ, নিষেধ, অনুরোধ ইত্যাদি বোঝায় তাকেই Imperative sentence বা অনুজ্ঞাসূচক বাক্য বলে।
- এই ধরনের বাক্যে Subject (you)  গোপন থাকে।

• Subject উহ্য রেখে Verb দিয়ে শুরু হওয়া বাক্য imperative sentence হয়ে থাকে।
- তাছাড়া imperative sentence বাক্যে আদেশ, নিষেধ, উপদেশ, অনুরোধ বুঝায়।
- তাই “Follow me.”  ই হচ্ছে imperative sentence.

- She completed her homework. - Assertive sentence
- May Allah bless you. - Optative sentence
