Embedded question এর ক্ষেত্রে structure হলো question word + subject + verb

Passive কে Active করতে হলে,
- Object এর পূর্বের Preposition বাদ যাবে এবং Object -Subject হয়ে বসবে,
- Subject- Object হয়ে Verb এর পরে বসবে।
- অতিরিক্ত be verb (এখানে been) বাদ যাবে।
- Passive এর be Verb এর Form অনুযায়ী মূল Verb বসবে। 

The police- Collective noun টি সবসময় 'singular' রূপ, কিন্তু 'plural verb' সহ ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Every girl হচ্ছে singular noun, তাই এর pronoun হিসেবে their না হয়ে her হবে।

Quasi-passive Verb বলতে এমন কিছু verb বুঝায় যেগুলো half active এবং half passive.
Sell, build, smell, taste হল খুবই প্রচলিত কিছু quasi-passive Verb.
কিন্তু এছাড়াও কিছু verb quasi-passive sense প্রকাশ করতে পারে।
যেমন, এই বাক্যটির অর্থ হল: বইগুলো পড়তে ভাল লাগে। অর্থাৎ, এই বাক্যটিতে কোন কর্তা পাচ্ছি না আমরা। বইগুলো পড়তে কার ভাল লাগে সে কথা বলা নেই। তাই, এটি passive অর্থ প্রকাশ করে।

Quasi-passive verb দুই ধরণের হতে পারে। উপরের বাক্যটিতে well হল complement. Complement-বিশিষ্ট quasi-passive verb কোন বাক্যে থাকলে তাকে passive করতে হলে এই structure অণুসরণ করতে হয়:
Passive: Sub + be verb + complement +when/ if + it/they + be verb + Verb-এর past participle.

সে অনুসারে সঠিক passive form: The books are well when they are read.

যেহেতু উপরের বাক্যটি past indefinite tense বুঝাচ্ছে তাই passive form-এ এর structure হবে-
Subject (object থেকে আসা) + was/were + v₃ + at (surprise verb-টির পর বস্তু বুঝালে at বসে; ব্যক্তি বুঝালে with বসে) + object (subject থেকে আসা)।
অর্থাৎ, সঠিক উত্তর হবে- I was surprised at his behaviour.

It was him এর পরিবর্তে It was he হবে।
Copulative verb এর complement হওয়ার কারণে Nominative case বসাতে হবে।

বাক্যে Principal এবং Subordinate Clause একই Tense হওয়া বাঞ্ছনীয়।
(গ) এবং (ঘ) এই রুল অনুসরণ না করায়, উভয়টি সঠিক নয়।
(খ) অপশনে was begun না হয়ে শুধু began হওয়া উচিত ছিলো।
(ক) অপশনটি রুল অনুযায়ী সঠিক।

Passive Voice এ যদি by + Object না থাকে এবং verb টি যদি পেশা বা নির্দিষ্ট ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুর সাথে Related কাজ হয় তাহলে ঐ পেশাজীবী বা ঐ নির্দিষ্ট ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুর নাম Subject হিসেবে বসাতে হবে। যেমন:
• Water was irrigated.
=> Farmers irrigated water.
• He was born in 1960.
=> His mother bore him in 1960.
• Rome was not built in a day.
=> The Romans did not build Rome in a day.

Good হচ্ছে adjective এবং well হচ্ছে adverb.
তাই, doing - verb এর পর good এর ব্যবহার অশুদ্ধ।
doing এর পরে good এর পরিবর্তে well বসাতে হবে।

Good at অর্থ হলো দক্ষ।
কোনো কিছুতে দক্ষ বোঝাতে সাধারণত Good at বসে।

Help/See + object + infinitive/bare infinitive থাকলে passive voice এর বেলায় help/see এর জায়গায় এদের v3 form হবে এবং Help/see/teach এর পর ব্যক্তি বা বস্তু থাকলে verb এর base form বসে অথবা to + verb বসে।

যেমন:
Active voice: He saw me do it.
Passive Voice: I was seen by him to do it 
Active voice: He helped me (to) do it.
Passive Voice: I was helped by him to do it.

A number of = কিছু সংখ্যক, এর পর Noun ও Verb plural হয়। তবে The number of এর পর Noun plural হয়, কিন্তু Verb Singular হয়। Many এর পর Noun ও Verb plural হয়। কিন্তু a many এর পর Noun ও Verb Singular হয়। 
Correct Sentences:
ক) A number of students were present in the class. 
খ) The number of his mistakes is immeasurable. 
গ) Every year a lot of children die of cholera.

সঠিক বাক্য- Bread and butter is my favorite food.
একই সাথে সম্পাদিত বা একই সাথে চলে এ রকম দুটি Noun - and দিয়ে যুক্ত হলে সেটা Singular হয়। 
তবে Time and time একই ধরনের ধারণা এখানে দিলেও এগুলো একসাথে চলে না, তাই এগুলো Plural, এবং verb ও plural হবে।

Make এর পর Bare Infinitive (উহ্য to) Active Voice এ হলেও, Passive Voice এ to যোগ করতে হয়।
আর একই Clause এর মধ্যে দুইবার Passive হয় না।
তাই সঠিক passive form - 
They were made to look older by years of malnutrition and deprivation.

Sentence টি Perfect conditional/ 3rd conditional.
Principal clause- এ would/could/might + have + V3 হলে, if clause- এ had + V3 হয়। 
আর Passive হলে had + been+ V3 হয়। 

কিন্তু এখানে break শব্দ‌টি transitive, intransitive দুইটাই হয়।
Transitive (ভাঙ্গা) হি‌সে‌বে ঘ শুদ্ধ। আর Intransitive (‌ভে‌ঙ্গে যাওয়া) ‌হি‌সে‌বে গ শুদ্ধ।
তাই গ ও ঘ দুইটাই শুদ্ধ হ‌বে।
