• A Room with a View:
- এটি E.M. Forster রচিত।

- উপন্যাসটির প্রধান চরিত্র Lucy Honeychurch নামের একটি ইংরেজী মেয়ে, যিনি এক মার্জিত এবং রক্ষণশীল পরিবারের সদস্য।

• ইতালিতে ছুটি কাটানোর সময়, ধনী তরুণী Lucy Honeychurch, George Emerson এর প্রতি আকৃষ্ট হন। তবে, ইংল্যান্ড ফিরে আসার পর, লুসি Cecil Vyse এর সাথে Engagement করে। যখন Emerson রা শহরে চলে আসে, তখন Lucy, এখনও George এর প্রতি আকৃষ্ট, বুঝতে পারেন যে তিনি Cecil কে ভালোবাসেন না।

- Cyril Fielding:  The principal of the government college near Chandrapore and Dr. Aziz's friend.
- Stella Moore: Stella was Mrs. Moore's daughter, who lived in England.

• The War of the Worlds
- এটি H. G Wells রচিত একটি উপন্যাস।
- এই উপন্যাসটিতে মানুষ এবং ভিন গ্রহের প্রাণীর সংঘাতের কথা বলা হয়েছে। 
- পৃথিবীর ইতিহাসের অন্যতম সায়েন্স ফিকশন এটি। 
- Martia নামের এক প্রজাতি যারা Mars গ্রহের অধিবাসী। তারা পৃথিবীতে আক্রমণ করে। ভয়ানক এবং রক্তক্ষয়ী সংঘর্ষ হয়। 
- কাহিনীর বর্ণনাকারী শেষ পর্যন্ত বেঁচে যান, তবে এই ধরনের আক্রমণ ভবিষ্যতে আবারও হতে পারে এই আশংকায় এখন থেকেই প্রতিরোধের ব্যবস্থা নিতে হবে।

• James Joyce:
- বিংশ শতাব্দী অর্থাৎ Modern Period এর বিখ্যাত novelist দের মধ্যে James Joyce অন্যতম।
- He was an Irish novelist noted for his experimental use of language and exploration of new literary methods.
- James Joyce’s Ulysses (1922), a complex evocation of the inner states of the characters Leopold and Molly Bloom and Stephen Dedalus.

- এটি লেখকের প্রকাশিত প্রথম উপন্যাস। ১৯৫৪ সালে প্রকাশিত হয়।
- The book explores the dark side of human nature and stresses the importance of reason and intelligence as tools for dealing with the chaos of existence.
- কাহিনিতে দেখানো হয়, পারমানবিক যুদ্ধের আশঙ্কা থেকে ব্রিটিশ শিশু কিশোরদের একটি প্লেনে করে সূদুরে কোন অখ্যাত একটি দ্বীপে রেখে আসা হয়।

• The Cocktail Party:
- এটি T. S Eliot লিখিত একটি play/ verse drama in three acts.
- ১৯৪৯ সালে এই drama টি লেখা হয়েছিল।
- ১৯৫০ সালে এটি প্রথম প্রকাশিত হয়।
- Based on Alcestis by Euripides, it is a morality play presented as a comedy of manners.

- He was born in September 26, 1888, St. Louis, Missouri, U.S.
- ১৯৬৫ সালের ৪ জানুয়ারি তিনি লন্ডনে মারা যান।
