• The Modern Period ends in - 1939.
- রানী ভিক্টোরিয়ার মৃত্যুর মাধ্যমে ইংরেজি সাহিত্যের ভিক্টীরিয়ান যুগের অবসান ঘটিয়ে Modern Period এর যাত্রা শুরু হয় ১৯০১ সালে,  যা ১৯৩৯ সাল পর্যন্ত টিকে থাকে।
- ইংরেজি সাহিত্য বিশারদগণ এই যুগকে আবার দুইটি ছোট পিরিয়ডে বিভিক্ত করেছে।
