সহজ ভাষায়, Principal Clause এর verb কে How, Where, When, Why ইত্যাদি দ্বারা প্রশ্ন করলে adverbial clause পাওয়া যায়৷ আর Principal Clause এর Verb কে When দ্বারা প্রশ্ন করলে Adverb Clause of Time পাওয়া যায়। 

এখানে, when the train left? প্রশ্ন করলে উত্তর পাওয়া যায় - As soon as I reached the station.
তাই এটি Adverb Clause of Time.

ব্যাখ্যা
To + Verb দ্বারা যদি কাজের উদ্দেশ্য বুঝানো হয়, তাহলে এ রকম Simple Sentence কে Compound করতে হলে To + Verb এর পরিবর্তে যে Clause বসবে সেটি প্রথমে বসে এবং এ অংশে উদ্দেশ্য বুঝানোর জন্য Tense অনুযায়ী want/ wanted যোগ হয়। আর Conjunction হিসেবে and so বসবে।
বাক্যটি যেহেতু past tense এ আছে তাই compound sentence এর বাক্যটিও past form এ হতে হবে।
সে অনুসারে সঠিক compound form হবে –
Rana wanted to gain a prosperous life and so he left his homeland.

(গ)-তে since ব্যবহার হয়ে গেছে মূল Clause এর পূর্বে, যার কারণে অর্থ পাল্টে গেছে। তাই এটা ভুল। 
আর (ঘ)-তে killing ব্যবহার করার কারণে এটি Tense অনুযায়ী হয়নি, তাই এটা বাক্য ভুল।
সে অনুসারে সঠিক উত্তর হবে কেবল (ক)।
