•  যে সাদর সম্ভাষণ দ্বারা পত্র শুরু করা হয়, তাকে salutation বা Greeting বলে।
- এটি Formal letter এর অংশ। 

• Paragraph এ শুধুমাত্র একটি para থাকে। 
- Paragraph হলো এমন একটি ক্ষুদ্র রচনা যার মধ্যে একটি মাত্র, idea বা theme থাকে।

• তাছাড়া Paragraph এ সাধারণত তিনটি অংশ থাকে।

• Topic Sentence:
- একটি Paragraph এর প্রধান idea বা theme যে বাক্যের দ্বারা প্রকাশিত হয় তাকে topic sentence বলে।
- Topic Sentence সাধারণত কোনো Paragraph এর শুরুতে লেখা হয়।
- Topic Sentence এ অবশ্যই একটি Controlling Idea থাকবে যা Paragraph এর বাকি অংশ Control করে।

• Body/ developers:
- প্রথম sentence- এর পর থেকে শেষ sentence এর আগ পর্যন্ত পুরো অংশটাকে parragraph এর body বলা যায়।
- এতে এমন সব বাক্যসমষ্টি থাকে যা paragraph এর মূল idea বা theme কে উপস্থাপিত করে।

• Terminator:
- এটাকে paragraph এর সমাপ্তি, উপসংহার বলে। এটি দিয়ে Paragraph শেষ হয়।
- অর্থাৎ একটি সার্থক সমাপ্তিসূচক sentence কে বলা হয় Terminator.

• NB এর পূর্ণরূপ হলো Nota Bene.

• Nota Bene (Latin phrase)
English Meaning: used to call attention to something important.
Bangla Meaning: সতর্কতার সঙ্গে লক্ষ করুন; লক্ষণীয়।

• প্রশ্নে recipient হওয়ার কথা ছিল, ভুলক্রমে Sender দেওয়া হয়েছে।
• Address of the Recipient সাধারণত Formal Letter এর Heading part এ থাকে, সেক্ষেত্রে উত্তর হতো At the beginning of the letter.
• আর Sender এর Address থাকে Superscription part এ, যা হলো চিঠির খামের/envelope এর উপর লিখিত ঠিকানা।
• অপশনে সঠিক উত্তর না থাকায় প্রশ্নটি বাতিল করা হয়েছে।

• Formal Letter : একটি Formal/ Official Letter/ Application এর ৬টি অংশ থাকে।
1. Heading: Date, Designation (পদবী) & Address of the Recipient.
2. Salutation (সম্বোধন) : যেমন- Dear Sir/ Madam.
3. Body (মূল বক্তব্য)।
4. The Subscription: যেমন- Yours faithfully/ I remain, Sir.

6. Superscription: Detailed Designation & Address on the Envelope

• There is one paragraph in a paragraph.
- Paragraph হলো এমন একটি ক্ষুদ্র রচনা যার মধ্যে একটি মাত্র, idea বা theme থাকে।

• তাছাড়া Paragraph এ সাধারণত তিনটি অংশ থাকে।
• Topic Sentence:

• কোন passage-এ Although/though, but, despite/in spite of, even though, however, in contrast, on the other hand, instead of, nevertheless, rather than ইত্যাদি word/phrase গুলো সবসময় বিপরীতার্থক কথা বা ভাবকে যুক্ত করে।
 
আর,
• কোন passage-এ additionally, moreover, again, furthermore, likewise, in addition, and, also -ইত্যাদি শব্দ থাকলে বুঝতে হবে পূর্বে বর্ণিত তথ্যের সাথে আরো কিছু তথ্য এখানে দেওয়া হচ্ছে।

• There are six parts in a formal/ official letter:

•  A Curriculum Vitae হলো একজন ব্যক্তির ব্যক্তিগত ইতিহাস যা তার একাডেমিক ডিগ্রী, প্রশিক্ষণ, কর্মসংস্থান, প্রকাশনা, আগ্রহ এবং দক্ষতা উপস্থাপন করে যা সে ইতিপূর্বে অর্জন করেছে।
- CV অবশ্যই Clear, concise হতে হবে।

•  The abbreviation "CV" stands for - Curriculum Vitae.

• Personal interests and hobbies, Contact information & Work experience are included in a CV, but Extended family information is not a part of it.

• Entry level CV resume:
- Career objective,
- Education,
- Personal details,
- Interest,
- Achievements,
- Language competence,
- Computer skills,
- References.
