• Lest -এর ব্যবহার:
- 'Lest' অর্থ 'পাছে (কোনো কিছু ঘটে) এই ভয়ে' [for fear that].
- 'Lest' negative অর্থ প্রদান করে। অর্থাৎ, এর পরে no, not বা never বসে না।
- 'Lest' -এর পরে subject থাকলে verb -এর পূর্বে should/might বসে।
- 'Lest' -এর পরের অংশ passive -এ আছে বিধায় should -এর পরে be + মূল verb এর past participle হয়েছে।

- এখানে, বাক্যে - "Despite of" ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে, যা ভুল।
- কারণ: "Despite" একটি preposition, যার পরে সরাসরি কোন noun / noun phrase বসে।

- প্রশ্নে উল্লিখিত বাক্যটি ব্যাকরণগতভাবে ভুল, কারণ "must" একটি modal verb, আর modal verb-এর পর সবসময় verb-এর base form বা be + past participle (passive voice) ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- "finished" এখানে একটি past participle, কিন্তু "must"–এর পর সরাসরি এটি বসতে পারে না।
- এখানে কাজটিকে সম্পন্ন করতে হবে, অর্থাৎ passive form দরকার।

• তাই সঠিক গঠন হবে:

- 'A number of' দ্বারা সাধারণত "একাধিক, অনেকগুলো" (plural) বোঝানো হয়।
- প্রশ্ন প্রদত্ত বাক্যে 'A Number of' আছে, তাই এরপর plural noun হিসেবে ‘students’ এবং plural verb 'have already submitted' বসবে।

- Along with, as well as, together with, including, addition to, accompanied by ইত্যাদি দ্বারা দুইটি subject যুক্ত হলে verb হবে প্রথম subject অনুযায়ী।
- এখানে The professor এবং her students - subject দুটি along with দ্বারা যুক্ত হয়েছে।
- প্রথম subject "The professor" singular বিধায় verb টি singular হবে।

- Bangla Meaning: যদি আবহাওয়া ভালো হতো, তবে আমরা সমুদ্রে যেতাম।

- উল্লিখিত প্রশ্নটি Third Conditional sentence -এর উপর ভিত্তি করে করা হয়েছে।

• Third conditional -এর নিয়মানুযায়ী:
- If clause (শর্তযুক্ত অংশে) -এ যদি (had + V₃) হয়, তবে পরবর্তী clause -এ would/could/might + have + V₃ + extension হয়।

• Structure: If + Past Perfect (had +V₃) + Subject + would/could/might + have + verb-এর past participle + extension.
- অথবা, Subject + would/could/might + have + verb -এর past participle + extension, If + subject + Past Perfect (had +V₃).
- অর্থাৎ, If clause টি বাক্যের প্রথমে কিংবা শেষেও বসতে পারে।

• Note: 'If' না থাকলে Condition part টি 'Had' দ্বারা শুরু হয়।

• Complete Sentence: The old building was demolished because it was no longer safe.
- Bangla Meaning: পুরানো ভবনটি ধ্বংস করা হয়েছিল কারণ এটি আর নিরাপদ ছিল না।

এখানে একটি passive voice বাক্য গঠন করা হয়েছে। "was" এর পরে একটি past participle (V₃) ফর্ম প্রয়োজন, যেমন: repaired, painted, evacuated, demolished।

এই অংশটি বলছে ভবনটি আর নিরাপদ ছিল না, অর্থাৎ সেটি বিপদজনক অবস্থায় ছিল। সুতরাং বাক্যের প্রথম অংশে এমন একটি কাজ উল্লেখ করা হবে যা একটি ঝুঁকিপূর্ণ ভবনের ক্ষেত্রে উপযুক্ত।

• অপশন বিশ্লেষণ (Option Analysis):
ক) repaired (মেরামত করা হয়েছিল):
- যদি ভবনটি মেরামত করা হতো, তবে এটি নিরাপদ করার চেষ্টা বোঝাত। কিন্তু প্রশ্নে বলা হয়েছে, ভবনটি নিরাপদ ছিল না, এবং সেটি আর ব্যবহারযোগ্য নয়- এমন পরিস্থিতিতে কেবল repaired উপযুক্ত নয়।

খ) painted (রঙ করা হয়েছিল):
- শুধুমাত্র রঙ করা হলে ভবনটি নিরাপদ হবে না। এটি একটি অলংকারিক কাজ, নিরাপত্তা সংশ্লিষ্ট নয়। তাই এই উত্তরটি অপ্রাসঙ্গিক।

গ) evacuated (খালি করা হয়েছিল):
- ভবন ঝুঁকিপূর্ণ হলে সেটি খালি করা হতে পারে। তবে প্রশ্নে বলা হয়েছে ভবনটি was (অর্থাৎ ভবনের উপর কাজ করা হয়েছে)। ভবন evacuated না হয়ে মানুষজন ভবনটি খালি করে থাকে। তাই এটি  উপযুক্ত নয়।

ঘ) demolished (ধ্বংস করা হয়েছিল):
- এটি সবচেয়ে উপযুক্ত। ভবনটি ঝুঁকিপূর্ণ হওয়ায় সেটি ধ্বংস করে ফেলা হয়েছিল, যা নিরাপত্তার দৃষ্টিকোণ থেকে যথাযথ পদক্ষেপ। এটি ব্যাকরণগত ও অর্থবোধকভাবে উভয় দিক থেকেই সঠিক।

- Bangla Meaning: আমি দরজা লক করে রেখেছি যেন কেউ প্রবেশ করতে না পারে।

• So that যুক্ত complex sentence গুলোতে সাধারণত can, could, may, might ইত্যাদি বসে। 
- প্রথম clause এ present থাকলে so that এর পরে may/can ইত্যাদি বসে,
- past tense - এ থাকলে, তাই so that এর পরে past form might/could বসে।

- এখানে, “write” এর পরিবর্তে “writes” ব্যবহার করতে হবে।

- কোনো বাক্যে not only... but also থাকলে but also এর পরের Noun/ pronoun অনুযায়ী Verb বসবে।
- তাই নিয়মানুযায়ী সঠিক বাক্য হবে - He not only speaks five languages fluently, but also writes poetry in his free time.

• Complete Sentence: He was not selected because he lacked the required qualifications for the position.
- Bangla Meaning: পদটির জন্য প্রয়োজনীয় যোগ্যতা না থাকার কারণে তাকে নির্বাচিত করা হয়নি।

• অপশন বিশ্লেষণ:
- qualifications (যোগ্যতা) - শব্দটি সাধারণত শিক্ষাগত যোগ্যতা, প্রশিক্ষণ বা অভিজ্ঞতা বোঝায় যা কোনো চাকরি বা পদে আবেদন করার জন্য প্রয়োজনীয়।
- support (সমর্থন) - মানে হচ্ছে সাহায্য বা পৃষ্ঠপোষকতা, যা এখানে প্রসঙ্গ অনুযায়ী ঠিক নয়।
- abilities (দক্ষতা) - অর্থ হল সক্ষমতা বা দক্ষতা, যা কিছুটা মানানসই হতে পারে।

- Bangla Meaning: কফি খেতে যাই, তুমি কি রাজি?

• Let যুক্ত imperative sentence এর tag question করার নিয়ম:
- Let এরপর 's থাকলে বুঝতে হবে যে 's দ্বারা us কে বুঝানো হয়েছে।
- "Let’s" (Let us) দ্বারা suggestion বা প্রস্তাব বোঝালে tag question -এ  "shall we" ব্যবহার করা হয়।
- তবে প্রস্তাব না বোঝালে will you বসে।

- এখানে Let’s দ্বারা কফি খাওয়ার প্রস্তাব বোঝানো হয়েছে।
- সুতরাং, tag question এর নিয়ম অনুসারে সঠিক উত্তর হলো: shall we.

- Bangla Meaning: যদিও সে ক্লান্ত ছিল এবং সারারাত কাজ করেছিল, তবুও সে তার দায়িত্ব পালন করে গেছে।
- এখানে, "but" বাদ দিতে হবে।

- বাক্যে "Though" এবং "but" একসাথে ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে, যা ব্যাকরণগতভাবে ভুল।
- কারণ "Though" (যদিও) এবং "but" (কিন্তু) একই অর্থ প্রকাশ করে এবং এক বাক্যে একসঙ্গে ব্যবহৃত হওয়া উচিত নয়।

- Second Conditional এর নিয়ম অনুসারে;
- If + past indefinite + subject + would/ could/might + verb এর base form + ext.
- অর্থাৎ, If + past indefinite যুক্ত clause এর পরবর্তী clause টিতে subject এর পর would/ could/ might এর সাথে verb এর base form বসে।
- If যুক্ত Sentence এ subject এর পর be verb আসলে সেক্ষেত্রে were ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- এটি ব্যবহৃত হয় বর্তমান বা ভবিষ্যতের কাল্পনিক / অসম্ভব / অবাস্তব অবস্থার জন্য।

- Bangla Meaning: সে এতটাই ধনী যে একটি প্রাইভেট জেট কিনতে পারে।

• অপশন বিশ্লেষণ:
ক) rich enough -  সঠিক ও ব্যাকরণগতভাবে শুদ্ধ।
খ) sufficiently rich - অর্থ ঠিক থাকলেও সাধারণত এই কাঠামোতে কম ব্যবহৃত হয়, এবং “sufficiently” একটি adverb হিসেবে কাজ করলেও এখানে সাবলীল নয়।
গ) too rich - "Too rich" অর্থ "অতিশয় ধনী", যা প্রেক্ষাপটের সাথে একমত নয়, কারণ "too" সাধারণত নেতিবাচক অর্থ দেয় বা সীমা নির্দেশ করে। যেমন: "too rich to care"।

তাই, সঠিক উওর - rich enough.

- Bangla Meaning: সে এমনভাবে আচরণ করছিল যেন সে তাকে বহু বছর ধরে চিনে।

• As if / as though এর পূর্বে present indefinite tense থাকলে as if / as though এর পরে past indefinite/perfect tense হয় এবং be verb থাকলে সবসময় were হয়।
যেমন:
- He speaks as if he were mad.
- He talks as though he were a child.

- As if / as though এর পূর্বে Past indefinite tense থাকলে As if / as though এর পরে past perfect হয়। যেমন:
- The dog barked as if it had sensed danger.
- The boy answered as if he had memorized everything.
- She ran away as if she had committed a crime.

- Bangla Meaning: টেবিলের ওপর পড়ে থাকা বইটি লাইব্রেরি থেকে ধার নেওয়া হয়েছিল।
- এখানে, "was laying" এর পরিবর্তে "was lying" হবে।

- উক্ত বাক্যটি একটি যৌগিক বাক্য (complex sentence), যার মধ্যে একটি adjective clause রয়েছে:
- "which was laying on the table" - এটি "the book" কে বর্ণনা করছে।
- এখানে মূল সমস্যা হচ্ছে "was laying" অংশে।

- "laying" হল lay ক্রিয়ার present participle (lay – laying – laid – laid), যার অর্থ 'রাখা'। এটি একটি transitive verb অর্থাৎ এর পর বস্তু (object) প্রয়োজন হয়। যেমন:
- She is laying the book on the table. 

- কিন্তু উক্ত বাক্যে "the book" নিজেই টেবিলের উপর অবস্থিত ছিল, এখানে কোনো জিনিস রাখা হচ্ছে না বরং শোয়া অবস্থায় ছিল। এ কারণে এখানে lie ক্রিয়ার past continuous form প্রয়োজন।
Lie (অর্থ: শোয়া, অবস্থান করা) এর রূপগুলো হলো:
lie – lay – lain – lying
⇒ Past continuous: was lying

অতএব, সঠিক বাক্য হওয়া উচিত:
The book, which was lying on the table, had been borrowed from the library.

• Correct sentence: Students who fail to pay their fees are debarred from attending classes.
- Bangla meaning: যেসব শিক্ষার্থী তাদের ফি পরিশোধ করতে ব্যর্থ হয়, তারা ক্লাসে যোগদান থেকে বঞ্চিত হয়।

• Debar someone from (something/doing something)
- English Meaning: To stop someone from doing something by law or by official agreement.
- Bangla Meaning: নিবারিত করা; বাইরে রাখা; আইনের সাহায্যে কাউকে কোনো অধিকার থেকে বঞ্চিত করা কিংবা কিছু করা থেকে বিরত রাখা।

- অর্থাৎ, কোনো কিছু থেকে নিবারিত করা; বাইরে রাখা অর্থে Debar -এর সাথে appropriate preposition হিসেবে from বসে।

- reported speech-এ মূল বাক্যের present perfect ("have seen") পরিবর্তে past perfect ("had seen") ব্যবহার করতে হবে,
- কারণ 'she'- subject এর পর মূল verb - past indefinite (asked) form-এ রয়েছে।

• Correct Sentence: He didn't know about the new policy changes.
- Bangla Meaning: সে নতুন নীতিমালার পরিবর্তনগুলি সম্পর্কে অবগত ছিল না
- এখানে, "didn’t knew" এর পরিবর্তে "didn't know" বসবে।

- এখানে, "knew" (past form of know) ব্যবহারের প্রয়োজন নেই, বরং মূল ক্রিয়া "know" এর base form ব্যবহার করতে হবে।
- কারণ "did" এর সাথে ক্রিয়ার মূল রূপ (base form) ব্যবহৃত হয়, অতএব "knew" ব্যবহার ভুল।

- Bangla Meaning: প্রকৃত প্রতিভা এবং প্রাথমিক সফলতা সত্ত্বেও, রাহুল অনেক কঠিন প্রতিবন্ধকতার মুখোমুখি হয়েছিল, যা শেষ পর্যন্ত তাকে তার ক্যারিয়ার নিয়ে ভাবতে বাধ্য করে।

• অপশন বিশ্লেষণ:

- এখানে, "completes" এর পরিবর্তে "complete" বসবে।

- প্রশ্নে উল্লিখিত বাক্যে প্রধান ভুলটি হলো 'completes' অংশে। কারণ এখানে একটি subjunctive mood ব্যবহার হয়েছে, যা ইংরেজিতে পরামর্শ, নির্দেশ, বা চাওয়ার মতো পরিস্থিতিতে প্রয়োগ হয়।
- এখানে ‘insisted that’ এর পর যে কাজের কথা বলা হয়েছে তা ভবিষ্যতে ঘটানো হবে বা, বাধ্যতামূলক।

• Had better এর ক্ষেত্রে:
- Had better অর্থ তবুও/ বরং ভালো।
- Had better যুক্ত sentence past tense এর হলেও তা মূলত past tense নয়।
- Had better- unreal past ইহা present/ future tense এর অর্থ প্রকাশ করে
- Had better এর পর infinitive to বসে না।
- সর্বদা verb এর base form বসে।
