কতগুলো সন্ধি কোন নিয়মানুসারে হয় না, এগুলোকে নিপাতনে সিদ্ধ সন্ধি বলে।
যেমন -
- কুল + অটা = কুলটা (কুলাটা নয়)

- এগুলোর মধ্যে 'সু' উপসর্গযোগে গঠিত কয়েকটি শব্দ ও উপসর্গটি যে অর্থে ব্যবহৃত হয় - তা নিচে দেওয়া হলোঃ
১. উত্তম অর্থে -- সুকণ্ঠ, সুকৃতি, সুচরিত্র, সুপ্রিয় ইত্যাদি।
২. সহজ অর্থে -- সুগম, সুসাধ্য, সুলভ ইত্যাদি
৩. আতিশয্য অর্থে -- সুচতুর, সুকঠিন, সুধীর, সুনিপুণ, সুতীক্ষ্ণ ইত্যাদি।

নেতিবাচক বাক্যে রূপান্তর করলেও বাক্যের অর্থ যেনো একই থাকে সেদিকে লক্ষ্য রাখলে বুঝা যায় যে ‘প্রিয়াংবদা অযথার্থ কহে নাই’ বাক্যটি সঠিকভাবে নেতিবাচক রূপ লাভ করেছে। এখানে এ দুটো বাক্যের মূলভাবের কোন পরিবর্তন ঘটেনি।

ভুল বানানগুলোর শুদ্ধরূপ - ভৌগলিক = ভৌগোলিক, যক্ষা = যক্ষ্মা, যশলাভ = যশোলাভ, ঐক্যতান = ঐকতান, কেবলমাত্র = কেবল।
