• Cowardly is an adjective.

- সাধারণত Adjective + ly = Adverb হয়।
- তবে কিছু কিছু Noun আছে যাদের সাথে ly যোগ হলে Adjective হয়।
- যেমন: Friendly, manly, Godly, Lovely, cowardly, homely, worldly, miserly, timely, etc.

• Degree of comparison নিয়ম অনুসারে,
- Absolute, excellent, extreme, supreme, perfect, unique, ইত্যাদি absolute adjective গুলো নিজেরাই superlative এর অর্থ প্রদান করে, তাই এদের পূর্বে more, most, very বা অন্য কোনো qualifier বসে না।

- "Unique" একটি absolute adjective (যার অর্থ "একক বা অতুলনীয়"), তাই এর সাথে comparative বা superlative degree ব্যবহার করা যায় না।
- সুতরাং, নিয়মানুযায়ী সঠিক বাক্যটি হবে- This is a unique opportunity.

অন্যদিকে,
ক) This is the uniquest opportunity.
- এটি ভুল কারণ, "the + uniquest" ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে, "uniquest" শব্দটি ভুল।

খ) This is most unique opportunity.
- "most unique" - degree modifier ভুল, unique এর সাথে most বসে না।

ঘ) This is a most unique opportunity.
- "a most unique" ভুল, unique এর সাথে most বসে না, শুধু a unique হবে।

• Many came to see the match but few stayed till the end.
- Here, the "few" is a Pronoun.

- এখানে "few" শব্দটি verb "stayed"-এর subject হিসেবে কাজ করছে এবং "few people" বা "few of them" বোঝাচ্ছে।

• Degree of comparison অনুযায়ী:
- যখন দুটি ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুর মধ্যে একটির দোষ/গুণ সম্পর্কে বলা হয়, তখন adjective -এর comparative degree -এর পূর্বে The বসে।
- এক্ষেত্রে, sentence -এর শুরুতে অথবা comparative degree -এর পরে Of the two কথাটির উল্লেখ থাকে।

• Structure:
- Of the two + plural noun + verb + the + comparative. অথবা,

গ) "poorer" — সঠিক comparative form। সাধারণত "the poorer of the two" বলা হয়, কিন্তু অপশনগুলোর মধ্যে এটিই সবচেয়ে সঠিক।

ঘ) He is much poor of the two.
- "much poor" ভুল, comparative এর ক্ষেত্রে "much" ব্যবহার না হয়ে শুধু 'poorer' হবে।

• Considering the traffic, we arrived at the airport in good time.
- The underlined word is a Preposition.

- এখানে 'Considering' হচ্ছে Participle Preposition, যা ‍এখানে (in view of: taking into account) বা বিবেচনায় অর্থে ব্যবহৃত হচ্ছে।
- এই বাক্যে 'Considering' শব্দটি "the traffic" Noun phrase -এর পূর্বে বসে বাক্যের অন্য অংশের সাথে সম্পর্ক স্থাপন করছে।
