Making a rough sketch of the furniture layout before arranging helps to understand where each piece will look best. Changing the furniture arrangement occasionally can bring freshness. Keeping the same furniture in the same place for a long time causes boredom.

Ease of use:While arranging furniture, the practical use of the room must be considered. Each room requires furniture arrangement according to its use. For example, the drawing room or sitting room should be arranged for socializing, hospitality, and enjoyment. The bedroom needs arrangements for comfort, privacy, and personal solitude.

Proportion means the size and scale of furniture should be in harmony with the space. Large furniture in a small room breaks proportion.

Grouping:Similar types of furniture should be placed together to establish unity of function. This avoids unnecessary movement. For example, keeping a bookshelf near the study table is convenient. Keeping a refrigerator or meat safe near the dining table facilitates serving food.

Balance:If furniture is placed on one side of a room, the other side should have something to balance the visual weight.
