• Abstract Noun: 
- যে Noun কোনো অবস্তুগত ধারণা বা গুনকে নির্দেশ করে, যার কোনো বাহ্যিক অস্তিত্ব নেই এবং যা ছোঁয়া যায় না, গন্ধ দ্বারা বা শ্রবন দ্বারা বোঝা যায় না কিন্তু কল্পনা দ্বারা বোঝা যায় তাদেরকে Abstract Noun বলে।

• Common Noun 
- যে noun কোন এক শ্রেণির ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুর প্রত্যেকের সাধারণ নাম বুঝায় তাকে common  noun  বল

• Knowledge (জ্ঞান; অবগতি) সাধারণত Abstract noun.
- কিন্তু uncountable ও abstract nouns এর আগে article ব্যবহার হয় না।
- Abstract noun এর পূর্বে Article বসালে সেটি Common noun হয়।
- তাই সঠিক উত্তর - Abstract noun, Common noun
- কারণ দ্বিতীয় noun টির আগে the বসেছে।

• Since/as/when যুক্ত Complex Sentence এর দুটি Clause এর Subject এক হলে এবং দুটি Clause এ মূল verb থাকলে প্রদত্ত নিয়মটির সাহায্য Simple করতে হবে।
- প্রথমে প্রথম Sentence এর মূল Verb এর Present form এর সাথে ing যোগ করতে হয়/ অথবা 'Because of + verb + ing'/ 'By + verb + ing' বসে
-  প্রথম Clause এর ক্রিয়ার পরের অংশ বসে + Comma (,) বসে
- দ্বিতীয় Clause এর Subject এর জায়গায় প্রথম Sentence এর Subject বসে + দ্বিতীয় Sentence এর বাকী অংশ বসে।

Complex: Since the old man killed the bird, he brought bad luck to the crew.
Simple: Killing the bird, the old man brought bad luck to the crew.

• সুতরাং, নিয়মানুযায়ী -
Complex: Since he mastered the new technology quickly, he was assigned to lead the next project. 
Simple: By mastering the new technology quickly, he was assigned to lead the next project.

• উল্লিখিত অপশনগুলোর মধ্যে সঠিক বাক্য হচ্ছে - Each of the employees is present in today's meeting.
- Each of the এর সাথে singular verb এর বদলে এখানে plural verb বসেছে।
-‘Each of’ এর পরে সবসময় plural noun আর singular verb হবে.

• Each singular and plural উভয় হিসাবেই ব্যবহৃত হতে পারে।
- Singular এর সাথে বসলে singular এবং plural এর সাথে বসলে plural.

• অপশন গুলোর মধ্যে - 
ক) বাক্যটি ভুল, কারণ -
- কারণ Each এরপর singular noun player এসেছে তাই verb ও singular হবে।
 সঠিক বাক্য - Each player has signed a new contract.

খ) বাক্যেটি ভুল, কারণ, 
- Each/ every যুক্ত দুইটি Noun/ Pronoun যদি and দিয়ে যুক্ত হয় তবুও Verb Singular ই বসে।
- কারণ এগুলো হচ্ছে distributive pronoun যা প্রত্যেককে আলাদা করে বুঝায়।
- সঠিক বাক্যটি হচ্ছে - Each boy and each girl in this class was present.

গ) বাক্যটি ভুল কারণ,
- যদি Plural Noun এর পরে Each আসে, তবে Verb টা Plural হবে।
- সঠিক বাক্যটি হবে - The actors each have been nominated for an award.

• One of the যুক্ত superlative কে Comparative করতে -
- Superlative sentence এর প্রথম subject টি প্রথমে বসে + verb বসবে +এরপর one of the বাদ যাবে + superlative degree এর comparative form বসে + than most other বসবে এবং সবশেষে superlative sentence টির বাকি অংশ বসবে। 
- যেমন -
Superlative: Antarctica is one of the coldest continents on Earth.
Comparative: Antarctica is colder than most other continents on Earth.

• সুতরাং, নিয়মানুযায়ী সঠিক উত্তর - Australia is drier than most other continents in the world.

• Of all যুক্ত sentence কে comparative করার নিয়ম - 
- প্রথম subject প্রথমেই + verb + superlative এর comparative form + than all other + বাকি অংশ। 
- যেমন -
- Superlative sentence: The blue whale is the largest of all mammal
- Comparative sentence: The blue whale is larger than all other mammals.

• শূন্যস্থানে সঠিক উত্তর হবে - he could have been saved.
- Complete sentence: Had I been there, he could have been saved.

• বাক্যটি third conditional এ আছে।
- 3rd Conditional এর নিয়মানুযায়ী, 
- Had + Subject + verb এর past participle form হলে এরপরের অংশে Subject + would/could/might + have + verb এর past participle form + ext হয়। 
- কিন্তু যদি বাক্যটি passive sense প্রকাশ করে তবে - If passive = sub+ would/could/ might + have+ been +PP হয়।

- উল্লিখিত দুইটি নিয়ম অনুযায়ী অপশনগুলোর মধ্যে একমাত্র সঠিক উত্তর - he could have been saved.

• সঠিক বাক্যটি হবে - It was urgent that she leave at once.

• It + be (any tense)+ adjective + that + subject + verb simple হয়।
- যে adjective গুলো ব্যবহৃত হলে এই নিয়ম প্রযোজ্য হবে - advised, necessery, important, recommended, urgent, obligatory, required, imperative, mendatory, proposed, suggested.
- এই সমস্ত verb গুলোর সাথে -s/-es/-ed/-ing/-d/-t -কিছুই যুক্ত হবে না।
- American English অনুযায়ী should ও ব্যবহৃত হবে না।

• শূন্যস্থানে সঠিক উত্তর হবে - to solve
• Complete Sentence: She attempted to solve the difficult puzzle but couldn't figure it out.

• কিছু verb আছে যেগুলোর পরে যদি verb ব্যবহার করতে হয় তাহলে Infinitive (to + verb এর base form.) ব্যবহার করতে হবে।
- এদের পরে অন্য কোন verb না আসলে এই verb গুলো একা একা বসতে পারে।

• Verb গুলো হচ্ছে -
- agree, appear, arrange, ask, attempt, claim, consent, decide, demand, desire, deserve, expect, fail, forget, hesitate, hope, intend, learn, manage, mean, need, offer, plan, prepare, pretend, promise, refuse, seem, strive, tend, threaten, wait, want, wish, etc.

• English Meaning: One single time:
• Bangla Meaning: একবারের জন্য; একবারমাত্র।
- অর্থাৎ, Once দ্বারা যদি কোনোকিছু একবার মাত্র ঘটে এমন কিছু নির্দেশ করে তবে তা adverb হিসেবে  বিবেচিত হবে।
- উল্লিখিত বাক্যে - মাসে একবার আমরা একসাথে দুপুরের খাবার খাই - এই অর্থে once adverb.
- এখানে, once দ্বারা সময় নির্দেশ করছে অর্থাৎ Adverb of time হয়েছে।

• Once (Conjunction)
- If once ,as soon as, or from the moment when- ইত্যাদি অর্থে once, conjunction হবে।
0 Once I've found somewhere to live I'll send you my address.(as soon as)
- Once I get the chance, I can prove myself. (If once)

• Once (noun)
 - Preposition এর Object হিসেবে once noun হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

• A participle is a verb that ends in -ing (present participle) or -ed, -d, -t, -en, -n (past participle). Participles may function as adjectives, describing or modifying nouns.
- Participle একই সাথে Verb ও Adjective এর কাজ করে।

• Participle মূলত: তিন প্রকার: 
1. Present Participle. Ex: Do not disturb a sleeping dog. 
2. Past Participle. Ex: This is a book written by Charles Dickens. 
3. Perfect Participle. Ex: Having eaten rice, he went to bed. 

• যখন Verb+ing Adjective এর কাজ করে, তখন তাকে Present Participle বলা হয়।
- এখানে having শব্দটি A student – Noun কে Modify করছে।
- আর এর পরে যেহেতু কোন Past Participle verb নেই, তাই এটাকে Perfect Participle হবে না।

He has come from where he has no peace of mind. Here the underlined part is an example of - Noun clause.

• Noun clause:
- A noun clause is a group of words that band together and act like a noun. Nouns clauses are used when a single word isn't enough. They're always dependent clauses.

• একটি বাক্যের বিভিন্ন স্থানে Noun clause  বসতে পারে-
1. subject হিসাবে 
2. transitive verb এর object হিসেবে
3. Linking verb এরপরে complement হিসাবে 
4. Preposition এরপরে

প্রদত্ত বাক্যে "where he has no peace of mind." clause টি preposition এর object হিসাবে বসেছে, তাই এটি Noun clause.

• শূন্যস্থানে সঠিক উত্তর হবে - took of.
- Complete sentence:  We waited until the plane took off before leaving for the airport.

• When, as, till, until ইত্যাদি যখন সময় অর্থে ব্যবহৃত হয় তখন এগুলোর পুর্বে past form থাকলে পরের অংশে past indefinite এবং past perfect tense দুইটির ব্যবহারই শুদ্ধ।
• Structure: Past indefinite + till/until + past indefinite/ past perfect

• যেমন:
- We waited until she had finished speaking.
- এখানে until এর আগের অংশে past indefinite tense এবং পরের অংশে past perfect tense ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।

• তাই নিয়মানুযায়ী, took off সঠিক উত্তর, until নিজেই negative অর্থ প্রকাশ করে বিধায় এর সাথে কোনো negative শব্দ বসে না।
- সে কারণে had not taken off হবে না।

• আবার,
-We waited until she finished speaking.
- এখানে, until এর আগে এবং পরে উভয় ক্ষেত্রেই past indefinite tense ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।

তাছাড়াও, অন্যদিকে,
• Till/unlill যুক্ত বাক্যের প্রথম clause টি future indefinite হলে , till/until এর পরের clause টি present indefinite হয়।
• Structure: Future indefinite + till/untill + present indefinite
- Will you wait until I am ready?

• Adjective-এর নিয়ম অনুযায়ী,
- Many/ a great many/ a good many এর সাথে Noun/pronoun ও verb- plural হয়।
- Many a/an এর পর noun/pronoun ও verb- singular হয়।

• তাই নিয়মানুযায়ী সঠিক বাক্য - A great many students were excited to participate in the science fair.

• Some Examples: 
- A good many birds have migrated to warmer regions for the winter.
- Many people were gathered at the concert venue to see the band perform.

• Akash left home in a gloomy mood. The part 'in a gloomy mood' is an - Adverb Phrase.

• Adverbial Phrase
- যে phrase বাক্যে ব্যবহৃত হয় adverb এর মত কাজ করে তাকে Adverbial Phrase বলে ৷
- সাধারণত বাক্যকে কখন ( when), কোথায় ( where), কেন( why) ও কিভাবে (how) দ্বারা প্রশ্ন করলে উত্তর হিসেবে যে phrase পাওয়া যায় সেটি Adverbial phrase.
• আবার,  
- Preposition দিয়ে শুরু হয়ে যে phrase Adjective Phrase বা Adverb Phrase এর কাজ করে।
- তাই প্রদত্ত Phrase টি একই সাথে Prepositional Phrase এবং Adverb Phrase.
- প্রদত্ত phrase টি Preposition দিয়ে শুরু হয়ে Adverb Phrase এর কাজ করেছে ,তাই Phrase টি একই সাথে Prepositional Phrase এবং Adverb Phrase.
- প্রশ্নে  Adverb Phrase রয়েছে, তাই এটিই সঠিক উত্তর।
- Phrase Preposition - কয়েকটি word গুচ্ছগতভাবে Preposition এর কাজ করে।

- যেমন: We shall have reached the school before the bell rings.

• উল্লিখিত বাক্যে before এরপরের clause টিতে present indefinite tense আছে, তাই পূর্বের clause এ future perfect tense হয়েছে।

• আবার,
- দুইটি clause যদি before দ্বারা যুক্ত থাকে তাহলে  before এর পূর্বের  clause টিতে verb এর past perfect এবং পরের  clause টিতে past indefinite tense হয়।
-যেমন:  We had reached the school before the ball rang.
- যেহেতু প্রশ্নে উল্লিখিত বাক্যটিতে before এর আগের অংশ Past perfect tense এ আছে, তাই পরের অংশে past indefinite হয়েছে।

• Verbs with to-infinitives
- We use the to-infinitive after certain verbs (verbs followed by to-infinitive), particularly verbs of thinking and feeling. 
-  অর্থাৎ,  নির্দিষ্ট কয়েকটি verb যেগুলো কোন thinking বা feeling অর্থ দেয় এর পর infinitive বসে। 
- বহুল ব্যবহৃত এরকম কয়েকটি Verb হচ্ছে: 
- সেগুলো হলঃ choose, decide, expect, forget, hate, hope, intend, learn, like, love, mean, plan, prefer, remember, want, would like/love ইত্যাদি।

সুতরাং, পুরো বাক্যটি হবে, We all wanted to have more math classes for taking B.C.S preparation.

•  too + adjective + to + verb যুক্ত Simple sentence কে Complex এ পরিণত করার নিয়ম -
- প্রথম subject প্রথমে বসে,
-  too এর স্থলে So এবং to এর স্থলে that বসে।
- এরপর বাকি অংশ বসে।

Simple: Abida is too lazy to cook her breakfast. 
complex: Abida is so lazy that she cannot cook her breakfast.

• Stop writing. Here 'writing' is a -Gerund.

• Gerund:
- Verb এর সাথে ing যোগ হয়ে যদি noun এর কাজ করে অর্থাৎ Verb ও noun এর কাজ করে, তাহলে তাকে Gerund বলে।
- সংক্ষেপে: Gerund = Verb + ing = noun = Verb + noun.
- It is a word ending in "-ing" that is made from a verb and used like a noun:
- Gerunds don’t describe action—they act as nouns.

•  একটি বাক্যে Gerund বিভিন্ন অবস্থানে বসতে পারে।
- বাক্যে verb + ing যুক্ত word যদি বাক্যের transitive verb এর পরে object হিসেবে বসে, তবে তা সাধারনত Gerund হবে।
- Writing এখানে Stop এর Object হওয়ার কারণে এটি Gerund.

• It is time/It is high time এর পর subject থাকলে verb টি past tense এ হয়।
 - It is high time we changed our attitude.

- যদি এদের পরে subject না থাকে তবে to + verb হয়।
• It is high time to change our attitude.

• নিয়মানুযায়ী তাই শূন্যস্থানে সঠিক উত্তর হবে - we implemented.
- The teacher announced that it was high time we implemented new teaching methods.

• তবে It was high time হলেও পরের অংশ Past Indefinite Tense- ই হয়।
[এটাকে as if বা since এর Structure এর সাথে গুলিয়ে ফেলা যাবে না।]

• সঠিক উত্তর হচ্ছে - Zero article.

Article এর নিয়মানুযায়ী,
সাধারণত পত্রিকার নামে পূর্বে article হিসেবে the বসে।

• কিন্তু ম্যাগাজিনের নামের পূর্বে কোনো article বসে না।
- যেহেতু Rolling Stone একটি মাত্র ম্যাগাজিনের নাম তাই এর পুর্বে কোনো article বসবে না।

• Adverbial Phrase:

• As if/ As though - 'যেন' অর্থে ব্যবহার হয়।

• অবাস্তব বাক্যে As if/ As though এর Sentence Structure:
1. As if / as though এর পূর্বে Present indefinite tense থাকলে As if / as though এর পরে past indefinite হয় এবং be verb থাকলে সবসময় were হয়।
- যেমন:
- He behaves as though he owned the place.
- He speaks as if he were mad.

2. As if / as though এর পূর্বে Past indefinite tense থাকলে As if / as though এর পরে past perfect হয়।
- He told the matter as if he had known it.

• প্রশ্ন প্রদত্ত বাক্যটি লক্ষ্য করলে দেখা যায়, বাক্যের as if এর পরের clause এ past perfect tense ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।
- তাই নিয়মানুযায়ী as if এর আগের clause এ verb টি অবশ্যই Past indefinite tense এ হবে।

• Forbid এর পরে from এবং to দুইটাই বসতে পারে।
- তাই নিয়মানুযায়ী, ক) এবং খ) উভয়ই সঠিক।

• Forbid + to infinitive
- I forbid you to go.
- You can’t forbid me to go.
- He's embarrassed about it because he forbade me to tell anyone.
- I forbid you to enter that room without permission.

• Forbid + from + verb-ing
- He is forbidden from leaving the country.

• যেহেতু প্রশ্নে উল্লেখিত বাক্যটিতে the phone টি আছে, সেহেতু বোঝা যাচ্ছে শূন্যস্থানে on/over বসবে।

• মনে রাখতে হবে - 
- By phone:  The manager will give instructions by phone.
- Over the phone: Nasima will discuss the issue with Mehedi over the phone.
- On the phone: She has spent hours on the phone in recent weeks, talking to negotiators in a labor dispute.
