• Complex sentence
- যে sentence -এ একটি principal clause এবং এক বা একাধিক subordinate caluse থাকে, তাকে complex sentence বলে।
- Complex sentence -এর subordinate clause -এর শুরুতে সাধারণত if, as, though, although, since, because, that, so that, till, until, unless, what, why, when, who, which, where, how, whether, while, before, after, etc. বসে।
- যেমন:
- If you finish your work, we can go out for dinner.
- I know why he is silent.

• প্রশ্নে উল্লিখিত What is done cannot be undone. বাক্যটি একটি complex sentence.
- কেননা, এই বাক্যে দুইটি clause আছে।

- যে Tense দ্বারা কোন কাজ পূর্বে শুরু হয়ে বর্তমানে চলছে বুঝায় তাকে Present Perfect Continuous Tense বলে।

- Present Perfect Continuous Tense এর ক্ষেত্রে ব্যাপক সময় (Period of time) এর পূর্বে for এবং নির্দিষ্ট সময় (Point of time) এর পূর্বে since বসে।

• Since এর ব্যবহার:
- Point of time এর পূর্বে since বসে।

- যে Sentence দ্বারা কোন কিছুর বর্ননা বা বিবৃতি প্রকাশ করা হয়, তাকে Assertive sentence বলে।
- An assertive sentence is a simple statement or assertion, and it may be affirmative or negative.
- Structure: Subject + Verb + Object/Complement/Adverb.


- An assertive sentence states a fact, opinion, or wish in a straightforward manner.
- এই ক্ষেত্রে, প্রদত্ত sentence টি একটি wish প্রকাশ করছে কিন্তু এটি assertive sentence -এর গঠন follow করেছে।

- কোন কাজ বর্তমানে হয় বোঝালে বা অভ্যাসগত সত্য বোঝালে বা চিরসত্য বোঝালে Present Indefinite Tense হয়।
- Always, Daily, Regularly, Normally, Generally, Every day, Usually, Occasionally, Rarely, Frequently, Naturally, constantly, Sometimes, often, nowadays, seldom, never ইত্যাদি হচ্ছে present indefinite tense নির্দেশক।
