• Some বিভিন্ন parts of speech হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হওয়া একটি শব্দ।
- উল্লেখিত অপশন গুলোর মধ্যে - Some say one thing and others another - কেউ এক কথা বলে আবার কেউ অন্য কথা।
- এই বাক্যে some, pronoun হিসাবে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।
- এখানে, some হচ্ছে indefinite pronoun.
-যেসব pronoun বিশেষ কোনো ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুকে না বুঝিয়ে অনির্দিষ্ট কোনো ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুকে বোঝায় তাকে indefinite pronoun বলে।

- এই বাক্যে some, adverb হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।
- Some as an adverb is used to indicate an approximate number, an unspecified degree or amount, or shows doing an action quite a lot.

- এটি Collective noun.
- সাধারণত collective noun সবসময় singular verb গ্রহণ করে।
- কিন্তু The police- Collective noun টি সবসময় 'singular' রূপ, কিন্তু 'plural verb' সহ ব্যবহৃত হয়।

• Before/after/ ইত্যাদি যুক্ত simple sentence কে complex এ পরিণত করতে দুইটি নিয়ম অনুসরণ করা যায়।
- Sequence of tense এর নিয়মানুযায়ী যদি after যুক্ত clause টি past perfect tense এ হয়, তবে পরের cluse টি past indefinite এ হবে।
- অর্থাৎ,
- প্রথমে After বসবে।
- এরপর subject + verb এর past perfect form বসে
- তারপর দ্বিতীয় subject + verb এর past form বসে।
- নিয়মানুযায়ী সঠিক complex sentence টি হচ্ছে - After the project had completed, we celebrated with a team dinner.

• আবার, 
- After এর পরিবর্তে when বসে, 
- verb এর past indefinite form বসে
- দ্বিতীয় subject + বাকি অংশ।
- নিয়মানুযায়ী complex sentence টি হবে - When the competition completed, we celebrated with a team dinner.

• Adjective-এর নিয়ম অনুযায়ী,
- Many/ a great many/ a good many এর সাথে Noun/pronoun ও verb- plural হয়।
- Many a/an এর পর noun/pronoun ও verb- singular হয়।

• তাই নিয়মানুযায়ী সঠিক উত্তর - In the library, a good many books are available on various subjects

• অন্য অপশন গুলোর মধ্যে - 
ক) Many a man were listening to him - এই বাক্যে were এর স্থলে was হলে বাক্যটি সঠিক হত।
খ) A great many students was excited about the upcoming science fair - এই বাক্যে was এর স্থলে were হলে বাক্যটি সঠিক হত।
গ) Many students was present in the competition - এই বাক্যে were এর স্থলে was হলে বাক্যটি সঠিক হত।

• Infinitive Phrase মূলত 'to + Verb (base form) + Extension দিয়ে গঠিত Phrase এবং তা সাধারণত Noun/Adverb Phrase এর কাজ করে।
- বাক্যের subject হিসেবে এরা noun phrase এবং কারন নির্দেশ করলে adverb phrase হিসেবে বিবেচত হয়।
যেমন:
He went to America to earn more money. (Infinitive Phrase/ Adverb Phrase)
To tell a lie is a great sin. (Infinitive Phrase/ Noun phrase).

• প্রশ্নে উল্লেখিত বাক্যে to earn more money অংশটুকু London যাবার কারণ নির্দেশ করছে  এবং 'to + Verb (base form) + Extension দিয়ে গঠিত Phrase.
- তাই, এটি Adverb and Infinitive phrase হিসেবে বিবেচিত হবে।

• but (ছাড়া অর্থে) Preposition হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয় এবং স্বাভাবিকভাবে Preposition এর পরের অংশ দ্বারা কখনো Verb নিয়ন্ত্রিত হয় না, বরং তার আগের অংশ অনুযায়ী Verb বসবে।
যেমন - Everyone but nine old men was killed.

• Everybody/ all ইত্যাদি Affirmative অর্থবোধক শব্দ থাকলে but কে Preposition বিবেচনা করা হয়, এবং but এর আগের Noun/ Pronoun অনুযায়ী Verb বসে অর্থাৎ, যদি হ্যাঁবোধক হয়, তাহলে but এর আগের শব্দ অনুসারে verb বসে।
- যেমন: 
- Everyone but seven killers was forgiven.

• অন্যদিকে, 
- but এর আগে Negative অর্থাৎ, nobody/ none ইত্যাদি Negative অর্থবোধক শব্দ থাকলে but কে Conjunction হিসেবে বিবেচনা করা হয়, এবং but এর পরের Noun/ Pronoun অনুযায়ী verb বসে অর্থাৎ, যদি না-বোধক হয়, তাহলে শেষের subject অনুসারে verb বসে।
- None but the graduates were allowed to apply.

• যেহেতু, প্রশ্ন প্রদত্ত বাক্যটি affirmative এ আছে, তাই but এর আগের শব্দানুসারে verb বসবে। 
- তাই শূন্যস্থানে সঠিক উত্তর হবে - was.
- Complete sentence: Everyone but nine old men was killed.

• The movie, which was directed by a renowned filmmaker, received numerous awards. Here the underlined part is an - Adjective clause.

- যে sub-ordinate clause কোনো noun/pronoun এর পরে বসে ঐ noun/pronoun কে modify করে তাকে Adjective Clause বলে। 
- অর্থাৎ noun এর post modifier হিসাবে adjective clause বসে।

Adjective Clause দুইটি স্থানে বসতে পারে - 
- Noun এর post modifier - (subject + verb + noun + adjective clause) 
- Subject এর post modifier - (Subject + adjective clause + verb + object)

• প্রশ্নে উল্লেখিত - The movie, which was directed by a renowned filmmaker, received numerous awards এই বাক্যে which was directed by a renowned filmmaker, এই clause টি subject এর post modifier হিসেবে বসায় এটি একটি Adjective clause.
- Adjective clause মূলত clause সম্পর্কে অতিরিক্ত তথ্য দেয়  এবং এরা relative pronoun (that, who, whose, whom, which, why, when) ইত্যাদি দ্বারা  শুরু হয়।
- তবে মনে রাখতে হবে, who এবং which দ্বারা গঠিত clause টি যদি cause or purpose বোঝায় তবে সেটি Adverbial Clause  হিসেবে বিবেচিত হবে।

• Clause ও phrase এর পার্থক্য:
- Clause এর মধ্যে অবশ্যই একটি Finite Verb বা সমাপিকা ক্রিয়া থাকবে; কিন্তু Verb Phrase ব্যতিত অন্যান্য Phrase এর মধ্যে কোন Finite Verb বা সমাপিকা ক্রিয়া থাকবে না।
- অন্য কথায় Clause এর মধ্যে Verb - Tense এর Structure অনুযায়ী থাকবে, কিন্তু Phrase এর মধ্যে Verb নাও থাকতে পারে, আর যদি থাকে তাহলে Tense এর Structure অনুযায়ী থাকবে না।

• শূন্যস্থানে সঠিক উত্তর হবে - to.
- Complete sentence: The harsh lights and cameras were hardly conducive to a relaxed atmosphere

• Conducive (adjective)
English Meaning: making a certain situation or outcome likely or possible.
Bangla Meaning: সহায়ক।
- সহায়ক অর্থে Conducive এর সাথে appropriate preposition হিসাবে to বসে।

• Copying is prohibited in the exam. Here 'Copying' is a - non -finite verb
• A non-finite verb is a verb form that does not show tense.
- Most non-finite verbs found in English are infinitives, participles and gerunds.
- প্রশ্নে উল্লেখিত বাক্যে, Copying’ verb টি কোনো tense নির্দেশ করে না।
- তাই এটা non-finite verb.

• আবার, 
- Verb এর সাথে -ing যোগ হয়ে যদি noun এর কাজ করে, তাকে Gerund বলে।  
- Gerunds don’t describe action, they act as nouns. 
- The Gerund has the force of a noun and a verb; it is a Verbal noun. 
- এখানে ‘Copying’ noun - এর ন্যায় কাজ করছে, তাই এটি একটি gerund.
- কিন্তু যেহেতু প্রশ্নে, non finite verb রয়েছে তাই এটিই উত্তর।

• I would not do it, even if you paid me. Here is the underlined part is an - Adverb clause of contrast.
- Adverb of Supposition/ contrast/concession - দ্বারা verb সংঘটিত হবার বিপরীত ধর্মী কোন কিছু করা বা হওয়া বোঝাবে।
- Principal clause এর  verb কে 'কী স্বত্বেও' দ্বারা প্রশ্ন করলে যদি উত্তর পাওয়া যায় তবে তা Adverb of Supposition/ contrast/concession.

• উল্লেখিত প্রশ্নে I would not do it, even if you paid me - বাক্যটির দ্বারা বোঝা যাচ্ছে যে, তারা গাড়িটি কিনতো না, এমনকি সেটিতে ছাড় চলা স্বত্বেও।
- তাই এটি Adverb of Supposition/ contrast/concession.

• Narration এর ক্ষেত্রে,
- Mood অনুযায়ী বাক্যকে indirect speech এ পরিণত করা যায়।
- সে ক্ষেত্রে প্রথমে subject এবং তারপরেই verb বসে।

• নিয়মানুযায়ী, 'Sorry' যুক্ত direct speech কে Indirect করতে হলে, 
- Indirect speech এ said এর পরিবর্তে made an apology or apologized বসে।

• Dogmatic (adjective)
English Meaning:  Of a person or a group) strongly expressing your beliefs as if they were facts.
Bangla Meaning: 
(১) (ব্যক্তি) মূল্যহীন বা গোঁড়া মতবাদ প্রকাশ করে এমন। 
(২) (উক্তি) যুক্তি বা তথ্যনির্ভর নয় এমন মতবাদ বা বিশ্বাস।

• Prodigal (adjective)
English Meaning: Spending money or resources freely and recklessly; wastefully extravagant.
Bangla Meaning: অতিব্যয়ী; অপব্যয়ী; অপচেতা; বজ্রপদ; অকৃপণ; মুক্তহন্ত: a prodigal administration; prodigal habits.
(খ্রিস্টের বাণীতে দৃষ্টান্তরূপে উল্লেখিত) অপব্যয়ী ও অপরিণামদর্শী ব্যক্তি; যাকে তার কার্যকলাপের জন্য পরে অনুশোচনা করতে হর; অমিতব্যয়ী পুত্র।

• Skeptic (noun)
English Meaning: A person who doubts the truth or value of an idea or belief.
Bangla Meaning: যে ব্যক্তি কোনো দাবি, তত্ত্ব ইত্যাদির সত্যতা সম্বন্ধে সংশয় পোষণ করে; যে ব্যক্তি ধর্মের সত্যতা সম্বন্ধে সংশয় পোষণ করে, সংশয়াত্মা, সংশয়ান, সংশয়বাদী।

• After এর আগের অংশ Present Indefinite বা Future Indefinite হলে পরের অংশ Present Perfect tense হয়।
- আর after এর পূর্বে যদি বাক্য Past indefinite tense হয় তবে after এর পরে past perfect tense হবে৷

• এখানে, After এর পূর্বে  যেহেতু Future Indefinite রয়েছে তাই পরের অংশ Present Perfect tense হবে।
