Waiting for Godot
- It is an Absurd play.
- উপন্যাসটি প্রথমে ফরাসী ভাষায় প্রকাশিত হয়। পরে লেখক এর ইংরেজি  অনুবাদ করে বর্তমান নামে প্রকাশিত করেন ১৯৫৩ সালে। 
- এনসাইক্লোপিডিয়া ব্রিটানিকাতে এটিকে tragicomedy বলে অভিহিত করা হয়েছে। 
-  প্রধান দুটি চরিত্র Vladimir এবং Estragon। Godot নামে একজনের অপেক্ষায় প্রহর গুনতে থাকে। Godot আসার প্রতিশ্রুতি দেয় এবং যেকোন সময় আসতে পারে এরকম মনে হয় কিন্তু সে কখনোই  আসে না। অপেক্ষারত  দুজন নানা রকম দার্শনিক এবং অদ্ভুত কথা বলে তাদের সময় পার করতে থাকে।

- Pip  এই উপন্যাসের প্রধান চরিত্র। তার ছোট থেকে বড় হওয়ার কাহিনী , এতিম অবস্থায় বেড়ে ওঠা এবং তার জীবনের নানা উত্থান পতন এই উপনস্যাসের মূল উপজীব্য বিষয়।

   Though I sang in my chains like the sea”. These lines are quoted from Dylan Thomas's 'Fern Hill'.
